Both cabins are equipped with full-sized bed and extra sleeping cot, full kitchens with running water, microwave, small fridge, electric heat, shower, and toilet. We provide utensils, pots and pans, towel and linens, and WIFI. Each cabin site includes picnic table, BBQ with propane, Adirondack chairs, clam rakes and buckets. Renters may use our fish cleaning table, freezer space, and rowboat. Kayaks for rent through Mako's water taxi. Kristi and Brad are on the home-site most of the summer and can offer assistance if necessary. Between Beaches is a very special place with endless opportunities and activities for the adventurous ... and a very private and quiet place to relax. This cabin is the original homestead cabin. It is aprox. 12X16 feet with the bathroom off the back accessible from the outside. It is very rustic with a splash of class! a Fully equipped kitchen and a BBQ with gas. The SpaceEach of our cabins have a full sized bed & linens, and single cot to accommodate 3 people comfortably. There is electric heat, running water, mini fridge, 2 burner gas cook stove, fully equipped kitchenette, shower with towels provided and flush toilet. We have "bush" wifi, you will need to step out of the cabin to use it and It can be effected by weather. Our cabins have access to each beach with Adirondack chairs and picnic tables. Guest AccessThere are no keys to the cabins. Your check in and check out times depends largely on the tides. Once you make you water taxi reservations ( they will let you know the tides) please let us know your arrival times. The water taxi will bring you to the front of each cabin.

The SpaceThis is an entire apartment, right on the water. You have a private entry and deck. You have a sweet little kitchen, spacious living room and private bedroom and bath. This is a converted boat house and has reminders of the glory days of Seldovia fishing. Guest AccessYou will have the whole place to enjoy. Interaction with GuestsSusan Mumma, is here working in her art studio daily. She is glad to visit with you, take you for a hike, give you an art of ukulele lesson. She has lived in this community for 40 years, teaching school, working on Seldovia arts activities and loving her community. The NeighborhoodThis is the Old Seldovia Boardwalk and this is one of the original boardwalk homes. Built before the earthquake of 1964, this is a reminder of fishing days gone by. Getting AroundThe Seldovia Rowing Club is one block from the harbor and three blocks from the Alaska State Ferry dock. It is about one mile from the airport. Call for pick up if you need help. Other Things to NoteYou can walk anywhere in Seldovia.. I always say, the town itself is 2 blocks wide and three blocks long. Every narrow street has beautiful views, great for meandering.

If you are booked to go halibut or salmon fishing with us we pack you a lunch to go including drinks and cookies. Watch sea otters at your feet, follow the bald eagles in the sky above, take in the mountains and follow the activity as the fishing boats, sail boats and ferries cross the water. Seldovia Fishing Adventures has been in business almost 30 years and has the deserved reputation for guest satisfaction in both the B&B; and salmon & halibut fishing. Seldovia is a quaint fishing village with a year round population of less than 300 which swells in the summer with people taking advantage of the hiking, fishing, berry picking, flight seeing, wild life viewing, bird watching, kayaking, strolling, relaxing and exploring. We have no road access but an excellent commuter plane service from Homer, a very scenic trip which takes 15 minutes, or either a leisurely scenic ferry ride of 45 minutes or the scenic narrated ferry ride of 90 minutes from Homer. We are miles from care and well worth the visit. Rate quoted is per night single occupancy - meaning one person in one room with private bathroom. Double occupancy - meaning two persons in one room is $190.00 (+ tax) per night. Please inquire for triple occupancy rate, and children under 12 years rate. We are perched right on the edge of the Bay with beautiful views of the mountains and harbor. Relaxing on the deck you can watch all the fishing boats entering and leaving the harbor, enjoy the antics of the sea otters at your feet and the bald eagles above you. Seldovia is a quiet fishing village with friendly folks who are always willing to point out the trails to walk, handicrafts to purchase, coffee houses and cafes to frequent. Access is only by air or sea because of the glaciers along the route it is not possible to build a road into Seldovia. Remote - yes, but so well worth the trip. Come for the hiking, fishing, history, relaxing, berry picking in season and relaxing.

      The SpaceCabin's hillside location offers amazing views of Katchemak Bay, Kasistsna bay, Eldridge Passage, the Herring Islands, Sadie Peak and beautiful Grace ridge. Cabin offers simple but ample kitchen, double bed, shower and laundry. The out house resides above cabin and owns the view! Guest will have the property to themselves. Parking is available if guest opt to bring their vehicle on the Alaska Marine Highway ferry. Otherwise water taxis are happy to transport bikes kayaks Cabin is set up for people to be self sufficient and guests will be responsible for their own transportation from Seldovia or Jakalof dock. Guest AccessGuests will have the property to themselves. Clean towels, cover sheets and pillows will be provided. Sleeping bags are neccessary. Parking is available if guests opt to bring a vehicle on the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry. Be certain to check ferry schedule and reserve before booking if you intend to bring a vehicle as the fairy runs only two or three days per week. Interaction with GuestsCabins is set up for self sufficiency. Guests will be responsible for their own transportation to cabin either From Seldovia or Jakalof dock. I'm not always in area as a run for a local water taxi and am often on the water. Please do contact me anytime with questions about cabin or logistics. It can be a little confusing deciding between arriving in Jakalof or Seldovia and the best options of travel if traveling from out of state etc. If you are quite physically fit I strongly recommend bringing bikes to Jakalof on the water taxi. Cyclogical on the Homer spit will be happy to rent them to you as well! You enjoy long bike rides to Seldovia for lunch or pack your own and head up for some adventure on the old rd to Red Mountain. A few sections of carrying your bike across creeks and road wash outs will be neccessary on this adventure but it is a very uniquely beautiful valley to explore. The NeighborhoodThe cabin is quite private from road do to the hillside setting. One can enjoy viewing the wildlife, boats and fisherman working nets below in Kasitsna Bay. Getting AroundWater taxis travel from Homer to Jakolof several times daily. Flights from Homer to Seldovia (8 miles from cabin) leave on the hour. The Alaska Marine Ferry is a great way to have a truly Alaskan experience and you can bring your vehicle to explore Seldovia rather than the invigorating ( hilly) bike rides. You need to check the Alaska Marine Highway website for scheduled travel days and reserve in advance for car transport. Seldovia offers local car taxi service as well. Other Things to NoteCabin offers a peaceful and comfortable rustic get away in a very inspiring location.

Getting AroundSkiff Rental available for a reasonable price, as well as Kayaks, and mountain bikes rentals for forays into the road and trail system around the City of Seldovia. Initial trips to and from Seldovia are complementary. The owner will help you with running the skiff and making sure all safety gear is aboard. Fishing Charters are available with a long time Seldovian fish guide. Other Things to NoteGlamping. An on demand shower is available and there is ample running water at the cabin. There is a fresh outhouse available and an indoor porta potty to avoid those night time trips outside. The owners are great cooks and the kitchen has every pot pan and utensil you need to produce great meals. Basics like oil, spices, flour, sugar, pancake mix, syrup, tea, coffee etc provided. It is best to bring your food from the Homer side of Kachemak Bay. There is a store in town, but it is expensive and a trip across the bay by skiff to access.

            An iconic Seldovia home is now available for rent. This idyllic cottage home, built in 1952, has been home to many Seldovia families. It is built on pilings over the tidal estuary in a remote picturesque village. Fully appointed kitchen, BBQ on the wrap deck with amazing views, abundant birdlife, gulls to eagles. Stairway access to water for boat tie up or launching kayaks. You can fish for salmon from the beach below the deck in June, watch the 5K salmon shuffle run down the boardwalk the morning of July 4th, see otters playing in the slough below the house, and admire the perennial garden park just outside the door. Seldovia is located at the southern end of the Kenai Penninsula. Just across Kachemak Bay from Homer. There are no roads to Seldovia, arrive by air charter or boat charter.

              This charming timberframe suite is built on pilings overlooking the Seldovia Slough. The Slough is famous for its magnificent 22' tides and is a great spot for viewing birds, mountain vistas, and marine mammals. The 377 sq ft suite includes a kitchen sitting room with a sofa and table, bathroom with shower, bedroom, and small loft. The loft is accessible by a fireman type ladder. Our Waterfront Suite is located on the historic old Seldovia boardwalk, just four minutes walking from the boat harbor or a short walk (15 minutes) from the airstrip. We are shielded from the wind of the harbor and enjoy a nice southern exposure.

                This charming timberframe suite is built on pilings overlooking the Seldovia Slough. The Slough is famous for its magnificent 22' tides and is a great spot for viewing birds, mountain vistas, and marine mammals. The 377 sq ft suite includes a kitchen sitting room with a sofa and table, bathroom with shower, bedroom, and small loft. The loft is accessible by a fireman type ladder. Below the suite is the Thyme nursery and the gift shop.

                  An iconic Seldovia home is now available for rent. This idyllic cottage home, built in 1952, has been home to many Seldovia families. It is built on pilings over the tidal estuary in a remote picturesque village. Fully appointed kitchen, BBQ on the wrap deck with amazing views, abundant birdlife, gulls to eagles. Stairway access to water for boat tie up or launching kayaks. You can fish for salmon from the beach below the deck in June, watch the 5K salmon shuffle run down the boardwalk the morning of July 4th, see otters playing in the slough below the house, and admire the perennial garden park just outside the door.

                  My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. I love to spend time visiting with my guests. If you bring a musical instrument, I would love to jam a bit. If you bring your paints, I would love to sit for awhile and paint. I could even teach a small class in watercolor or ukulele. There is a great deck over-looking the water on which to enjoy the sounds of the slough, the eagles and more. You can use my running line to tie a small boat.

                  Welcome! We invite you to bring your family and friends to this spectacular destination! Here you can watch the sun rise over one beach and set over the other! Our rustic 12' x 16' rental cabins, located on MacDonald Spit, are only steps away from the beach and waterfront of Kasitsna and Kachemak Bays. Each cabin, surrounded by spruce and alder, offer spectacular views of the bays, islands, and snow-capped mountains with out standing in their shade. The Cannery Cabin and Fisherman's cabin, built by Kristi and Brad, faces Kachemak Bay and catches the evening sunsets. These two are aprox 30 feet apart and designed to accommodate larger groups. Each cabins are equipped with full-sized bed and extra sleeping cot, full kitchens with running water, microwave, small fridge, electric heat, shower, and toilet. We provide utensils, pots and pans, and towels and linens. While there is intermittent WIFI on the property, there is excellent cell reception. Cabin sites include a picnic table, BBQ with propane, Adirondack chairs, clam rakes, and buckets. Renters may use our fish cleaning table, freezer space, and rowboat. We will increase rates at that time. We want to give heart felt thanks to those who came to our little piece of paradise in 2016! There were a few bumps in the road, some lose ends that needed attention, some things to learn as a first year operator. But, all in all, without exception, every guest had a very high to excellent satisfaction level. It is reflected in our reviews. The property was described by one reviewer as EPIC:-) Others said it was a magnificent place to visit!!! Read them for yourself, we have a a very special place in Seldovia Bay!! Scott is getting in the ground on a new smaller rental cabin, for rent in 2017. Existing electrical, plumbing systems systems in the big cabin are fully functioning. Hot and cold running water, USB cell charging, LED lights, cell phone signal booster, to name a few improvements. There is a new marine oil heater for your comfort, as well as wood heat. It will only continue to get better. A flush toilet is planned for late season 2017. Your support has helped make this happen. Young family's continue to be the most fun for the hosts. Seeing kids play on the beach and their eyes light up with wonder, give the hosts the most joy. If you have a young family, bless your children or grandchildren with coming to this place. We have resident eagles that nest literally right above the line of sight of old glory flying out front. They reared three eaglets this summer, and guest were treated to watching the Momma eagle fish for her offspring, and the eaglets learning to test their wings on the edge of the nest. A cell phone signal booster is provided, but ATT and other providers may have very spotty coverage. Verizon and its affiliates have good coverage. Please check with your cell provider. There is limited Internet WiFi upon request by prearrangement. Italian ceramic tile floors, covered porch, covered back entry, leather furniture, wool rugs, fine craftsman details. Spacious loft with dormer. Wood frames held together with wood pegs with traditional craftsmanship. The owners are long time and life long Alaskans, and love to share the blessings of our "Heaven on Earth" with others. Kayaks and Mountain Bikes are available at reasonable rates (mostly to help pay for insurance). Cabin is substantially complete with essentials like hot and cold running water,, hot shower, and indoor porta-potty to avoid night time runs to outhouse. This is an off grid wilderness "eco" cabin, with sufficient 110v Solar power for small appliances, USB port for cell phones, a cell phone signal booster, and LED lights. (sorry, no hair dryers, curling irons or other heavy draw appliances) The cabin is heated with wood (provided). The cabin is hard wired for a future "conventional" power source, but it is not hot at this time. (phaze II) The fridge and hot water is run from propane, provided by the owner. Minor improvements are consistently being made to refine the experience. Comfort items like clean towels, fresh linens, paper products, are all provided. Cooking essential provided, including an outdoor gas grill, range with an oven, pots, pans, utensils, basic spices, oil etc. Please be prepared with your food essentials, from Anchorage or Homer. Seldovia has a small but somewhat expensive store for those forgotten items, or ask the owners and we are happy to help. . Seldovia Bay is an amazing habitat, from shoreline to mountain top. Seldovia Bay Adventures offers what you need to have a trip of a lifetime. Whether charter boat fishing for a "barn door" halibut, Kayak fishing Seldovia Slough for King Salmon, Kayak or skiff fishing for Pink salmon in Seldovia Bay, Mountain Biking above the treeline in the alpine or exploring Seldovia Bay by outboard skiff, we can help. Or, simply enjoying a relaxed time in paradise on the large covered deck, cooking your catch of the day on our gas fired grill. We have the equipment and comfortable shelter you need to have a great time. We rent our skiff, fishing Kayaks, Mountain Bikes, and can arrange for world class fishing charters. Our rental rates are very competitive. We can arrange a combo transport across the bay, either by air with Smokey Bay Air, or by sea with Mako Water Taxi from Homer to Seldovia Harbor or airport and offer a complementary shuttle across Seldovia Bay, a protected bay, to the beach front property. Or, our highly experienced local fish guide will pick you up in Homer and drop you off at the lodge after fishing for the day. (minimum two clients) You can also catch one of three daily day passenger ferries from Homer to Seldovia. Transportation from Homer to Seldovia Harbor is not included. Complimentary shuttle from Seldovia Harbor to Lodge provided by Seldovia Bay Adventures. On site owner/manager will gladly shuttle you to and from Seldovia to the cabin as needed by guests at no charge. (Gas donations appreciated for extra trips)
