Each of the alternative accommodations is set on its own track with most offering queen feather beds, gas fireplaces, 2-person whirlpool tubs, robes, LCD TV/DVD players with themed movies, mini fridges, hair dryers, in room coffee, and free WiFi. Each car is further detailed below:Track #1 "Casey Jones" Board the "Casey Jones" straight off the Station Platform with easy access up the side station ramp with the entrance to the private dining car only a few steps away. The front room of the caboose retains the working conductor's desk, along with a queen-size feather bed. The central cupola has a high backed conductor chairs upstairs. The back area features a corner shower, pedestal sink and the original toilet room. It is tastefully decorated with a collection of railroad memorabilia and posters. Track #2 "Orient Express" Climb the stairs and relive the Romance of the Rails in the luxury "Orient Express" private rail car. This elegant caboose also features a queen-size bed, warmed by the glow of the corner fireplace. Up the stairs in the center cupola are two comfortable high backed conductor chairs with closets below. The rear area has a whirlpool bath for two, pedestal sink and toilet rooms.Track #3 "Circus"This "fun caboose" isdecorated with circus posters and has a feature wall mural. A queen-size feather bed is set under a circus tent canopy, with the center cupola having the original high backed conductor chairs. Flickering flames in the front fireplace keep guests cozy at night. In the rear of the caboose is a whirlpool for two shaped like a boat, where the water is in the boat; not the boat in the water!Track #4 "Western" Climb up into the Western-themed caboose with "Wanted" posters, and mini fridge decorated to look like a Wells Fargo safe. Guests can relax in the queen-sized feather bed to watch their favorite Westerns on the LCD TV, whilst feeling the warmth of the corner fireplace. The center cupola's high backed conductor's chairs are recovered in cowhide. Under the back room's pressed tin ceiling rests an antique 1910 estate size claw foot tub with a handheld shower. A towel warmer completes the picture.Track #5 "The Lavender Limited" "Limited" in railroad jargon meant "the best", and this caboose certainly lives up to it's name. (Sequim is the "Lavender Capital of America") The queen-sized bed is framed by a wall tapestry with wall mounted LCD TV HD cable service and a DVD/CD surround sound system. The fan forced gas fireplace keeps the place warm and cozy. The center cupola is left intact, with high backed conductor chairs and a place to plug in all laptops, phones, and cameras. In the back area the two-person whirlpool tub is set below a mural of a lavender field with water coming out of an antique hand pump. Not to worry, there is no actual hand pumping required!Track #9 "The Grape Escape" This caboose celebrates the noble grape and the Olympic Peninsula's boutique wine industry. This East Coast style "Bay Window" caboose has a spacious interior with a couch/convertible double bed as well as a double bed accommodating up to four in this railroad car. Please note only children over 12 can be accommodated here. Our lovely, year round vacation home is just a short ferry ride and about an 1 ½ drive from Seattle. Located in “Sunny Sequim”, a favorite destination on the Olympic Peninsula to generations of Pacific Northwesterners. It lies in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, which means the weather is often sunnier than in Seattle. A nature lovers dream destination pick lavender at one of the many local lavender farms. Go hot air ballooning for a bird's-eye view. World renowned bird watching you can check out the Dungeness River Audubon Center or hiking down to the stunning Dungeness Spit. Local dairy farm, berry and flower picking, wineries, art galleries; as well as, hiking, biking and beach spots - too many to list. Too much to do? At times we prefer to curl up with a book and some goodies from the Sequim Farmers Market (May - October) or Sunny Farms (year round), in front of the fireplace or out on the back patio, while everyone else is out and about. With two Master Suites and a sun-room there’s room for gathering in the great room or retreated into your own space. Our adorable getaway awaits. It’s the perfect place to have your family together or a getaway with friends, 2 families or small retreats. We welcome you into our inviting home where everyone can stay, in one place. The upstairs master suite (where you can grab a glimpse of the mighty Olympics) also has an extra side room with two twin beds or set up the pack n' play. We're thrilled to share our holiday home with you and your family & friends. **The ground floor is completely wheelchair accessible including a roll-in shower. Our home is centrally located in the heart of Sequim. Less than a mile away from the supermarket and walking distance to "downtown" Sequim. It's a short drive to the surrounding shoreline, nature preserves and local farms. Head West to Port Angeles for some mountain hiking or stunning Lake Crescent Lodge or Salt Creek. Head South-East about 40 minutes and visit historic Port Townsend. Go for a run on the Olympic trail or berry picking at Graysmarsh. Honestly too many fun activities to list from surfing to crabbing; flower picking to back country skiing. Come and unwind in sleepy Sequim.

*5*Stunning Water & Mtn Views, Private, Romantic! MAY DISCOUNT*** $130.00 per night or $340.00 for 3 night stay! First, an excerpt from a guest's comments: ['Dangerously comfortable' is about the best we can do to describe this getaway...it was tough to push ourselves out the door every morning to go hiking. We've stayed in many VRBO listed accommodations and this is by far the most comfortable and well thought out place we've stayed in. The best sunrises we've ever seen! Thank you for sharing your great views with us.] Please take a moment or two to read some of the other wonderful reviews from previous guests posted below, and the many more on our VRBO site. . ABOUT THE LOFT The Loft was designed and created by us for those of you looking for the ultimate getaway. Here you can relax in privacy, feel pampered while enjoying up-scale amenities, unobstructed views, and peaceful, natural surroundings. Situated at the head of Sequim Bay at approx. 450 ft. elevation, The Loft offers a panoramic view of Sequim Bay, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the San Juan Islands and Mt. Baker. The view of the Strait provides an ever-changing view of many ocean bound ships. (We provide binoculars for you to enjoy the activity a bit closer up.) The Loft itself is approximately 500 square feet in size and is the second story of a completely finished building which we use for storage and a workshop. Our home is also on the property, but the purposeful orientation of the two separate buildings allows for total privacy for our guests. There is an inviting, separate and gated entrance leading around to the backside of the building housing The Loft. Once around the backside, you will find towering evergreens, a wonderful private patio with a hot tub and gas BBQ...and a beautiful view of Sequim Bay out into the Strait. Relax in the comfortable patio furniture and enjoy the pleasing ambiance of trees, water and solitude. Beyond the patio and landscaped yard,, and on the hills behind are tall evergreens that extend up to high peaks within Olympic National Park. It is not uncommon to have eagles flying overhead, deer in the lower grassy areas and visits from bunnies. We originally envisioned building this space for our family and friends to use while visiting. So we wanted it to be very special even from the beginning. As the project progressed, we decided to offer it on vacation rental sites (which we had used many times ourselves). So we doubled our efforts to create a place that felt warm, cozy, romantic and luxurious. We even provide spa towels and robes! We decorated The Loft using vibrant and inviting colors. We used natural slate, granite, a heated tile floor, upscale fixtures and solid cherry woodwork/trim throughout to accomplish our vision. One of our favorite features in The Loft is the gas fireplace. We spent hours designing and installing it. Surrounded with natural slate tiles it has a hand crafted mantle of solid cherry and truly is 'one of a kind'. We planned the furniture and fireplace arrangement so that the fireplace, wall mounted HDTV, and straight on view of Sequim Bay can all be enjoyed from the comfort of the bed! We also installed 'stealth' stereo speakers in the walls...they are invisible! The balcony of The Loft overlooks the bay and is a wonderful place to just 'be'. We are in a gated community comprised of five-acre properties. Ours is located on the top of the hill, at the end of a cul-de-sac. It is the last of only three homes situated on the street. We feel we accomplished our goal of creating a very special place, and are pleased to offer it for your stay in Sequim. Our central location on the north end of the Olympic Peninsula makes this a great place to stay while enjoying the numerous activities available in the area. The Loft is a romantic venue set amidst tall evergreens with absolutely stunning views of Sequim Bay, the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Mt. Baker. We are in a rural neighborhood of five acre lots, and yard/hot tub area of The Loft is located on the far side of the building offering absolute privacy. The Olympic National forest is practically in our back yard, hiking, kayaking, biking, wine tasting, great restaurants, shopping, the Pacific coast beaches, whale watching, Victoria BC, and much more is close at hand from this luxurious destination.

The SpaceThis vintage 1965 trailer is cute, cozy, clean and well-maintained (please help us keep it that way)! We strive to provide a homey and casual atmosphere for you to enjoy as your "home-base" for exploring all that the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. The electric fireplace adds a cozy ambiance and heat without the hassle of wood or gas; just flip the switch! Enjoy the covered porch any time to soak in the fresh air and pastoral views; if you're wondering what that faint strange sound is - that's those happy cows, mooing, or in the evening, it could be coyotes...Don't hesitate to set out on foot or bicycle to the Railroad Bridge Park and Audobon Center (the kids will LOVE it), exactly a mile to the west, or head north or east a mile or two to downtown Sequim for coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and groceries. Everything you need is right here, without having to stay in a stale, crowded and expensive downtown hotel/motel! Note: this is a brand new listing (as of October 2015) and we are still in the process of decorating and outfitting the trailer, so PLEASE feel free to contact us to ask questions or suggest something we could provide to our guests. We may have forgotten to mention something specific and/or haven't updated the photos yet. Guest AccessThe whole kit and kaboodle (trailer) is yours to enjoy. You can even venture out onto the covered porch with your morning cup of coffee or enjoy the open front yard with fruit trees and veggie garden (when it's in season). Interaction with GuestsWe live on the property in the main farm-house, with our toddler-age son and 10 bunnies! We are happy to give you complete privacy OR interact to an extent. We like our privacy too, but text us or knock on the back door (during reasonable hours - see house rules/quiet hours) and we're happy to chat/answer questions OR take you into the Bunny Barn for a visit. Ask us the best places to see, eat and explore...there's soooo much to do, you'll want to just go ahead and buy a home here...and I can help with that too! The NeighborhoodWe are located just outside the Sequim city limits (Clallam County) in a semi-rural, country-like setting, surrounded by cow pastures and other modest homes on acreage. Still, we are walk/bike-able to downtown Sequim shops, restaurants, parks, groceries and services. We are just around the corner from a great laundromat and SARC (Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center). The perfect combination for nature-lovers or those requiring more privacy or peace & quiet than a hotel/motel, who still need quick and easy access to downtown Sequim.
