I was going to put it to the test. You PASSED. Everything you can imagine you would need, is there. Second, I was skeptical about having privacy or peace and quiet. It was so quiet a pin drop would be too loud. Absolutely private and quiet, we felt very safe. Third, My Husband said jesh, this is cleaner than most hotels we've stayed at. Overall we gave it "11" we will be back." -Gary and Sue V. "Lynn, Well we just got back and the first thing I had to do was e-mail you and let you know what a terrific time we had. I contacted you in hopes of finding somewhere we could get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and we got just that. Your Chalet is absolutely amazing, it was exactly what the doctor ordered. From the moment we arrived to the saddened departure it was absolutely the best time we have had in a very long time. Your directions were exact and everything worked out exactly as planned. There was nothing better than sitting on the front deck with a glass of wine listening to nothing for a change, it was The touches of home did nothing but add to that feeling and it was amazing. Thank you from both of us for allowing us to stay at your wonderful get away, I can absolutely assure you that we will be contacting you again soon many times. Finally again thank you very much we had an amazing weekend, if you EVER consider selling your property PLEASE let me know, seriously there is not a place in the world that can fulfill exactly what we were looking for like yours did." -Nick A. "What a wonderful place! I have now stayed here twice and can't wait to go back. The chalet is in a perfect location nestled in the hills and not far from great hiking, restaurants and adventure. Whether a long weekend or a week, well worth it!" -Guest Review from erik "I just wanted to leave you an email that I forgot to send a long time ago. My girlfriend and I went up there the weekend of July 21st just to get away for the weekend. What she didnt know is that after having a wonderful day horseback riding and enjoying downtown Luray I was going to propose to her. So at sunset after a wonderful dinner I proposed to her on your deck of the chalet. We had a wonderful time, loved the location, loved the chalet and would definitely go back. Thank you again!" -Jeff B. "Just right!!! We have rented many cabins in many different areas. This cabin was just right. It felt very much like home. Some cabins are too rustic, or have to many unnecessary luxuries. This cabin, met in the middle, I did not pay extra for things I did not need, and yet was very comfortable." -Len and Ri from Longwood FL "Wonderful cabin, great price! Everything you need in this nice little cabin get-away. Surrounded by woods and wildlife. Great quite place to get away, enjoy nature, see deer, and take pictures. They had everything you could think of from dishes & coffee to DVD movies. Highly recomended. Great price. Only minutes from Skyline Drive and many caverns." -Guest Review from JGdesigner "My fiance and I spent Halloween weekend in your cabin. It was beautiful! I was impressed with how stocked the place is. it was just like being at home! We visited Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive while in the area, and the cabin was convenient to both. We just wanted to thank you for sharing your cabin with us. We hope to return soon!" -Tanika M. "Nice getaway. This chalet was exactly as described. The location was beautiful and the house was clean and very affordable. Thanks for the hiking suggestions as it was too warm for skiing. Lots to do in nearby Luray too." -Guest Review from kreay "Perfect and affordable Place to Get-A-Way from the Hussle and Bussle. We have stayed at the Chalet twice and just love it. The price is right and the house is spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We have used it as a get-a-way in the winter to leave the hectic pace of DC and love that there's no cable, internet, or cell phone coverage... we bring dvd's, lots of food and drink, hike during the day and cook and relax at night. This past trip, we hit a couple of close wineries, which was just a perfect touch. Highly Recommend!" -Guest Review from dmiller "Wonderful vacation in the historic Shenandoah. Being a Virginian any chance to travel the Shenandoah Valley is a pleasure. Rarely, due to work schedules, have my wife an I been able to stay for more than a day or two. This time I had seven whole days. I believe this was the first site that I visited yet it seemed to have all that I was looking for to relax and explore in detail parts of the Valley. Where else but among the folks of the valley could you arrive and check in with such ease. The setting is as beautiful as described with a wonderful view of the mountains saying good night at sunset and to awaken us at sunrise. The chalet was a delight with every thing we would need. Even phone service was provided since cell service is spotty at best. Being from the Washington area the last thing we needed was blaring media news. We came to the Shenandoah to get away from that. We used the chalet as a base camp to explore from Waynesboro to Winchester. Seven days of perfect weather did not hamper things while hiking the Skyline but even a steady rain would have been fun here. This is a great place inhabited by wonderful people. We will be back. We really did not want to leave today. Regards, Wilson F. Gaithersburg, MD." -Guest Review from urspider68 "Thank you very much for your help with the cabin last weekend. We had a very nice time, the skiing was great, and the beds were very comfortable (after skiing, that is important!). So thank you very much and have a great weekend!" -Nathanael "Wonderful winter getaway. Myself and a couple of girlfriends spent a weekend at the chalet. What I liked about it was that they had comfortable furnishings and yet felt like it belonged in the woods. It was quiet and peaceful. When looking for a place what stood out about the chalet was that we would be able to walk to a hiking trail within Shenandoah - and we did that while we were there. I would definitely go back again and would recommend it." -K. A. from Globe Trekker "I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know we had a pleasant stay at your cabin. The place was very clean and you thought of everything we need in the kitchen and bathroom. It was nice and relaxing to come back to such a nice place after our ski trip. This was a memorable Christmas for our family. We would definitely like to go back in the future." -Yunhui & Family "We had a most pleasant time at your Shenandoah chalet the past week. The accommodations/facilities were superb. We had a peaceful and quiet vacation and the weekday cost to rent was very fair. We also visited Massanutten Ski area for some snowtubing, Hiking to Rapidan Hoover Camp in Shenandoah National Park, The Mt. Powell hiking trails near your chalet, and on the way back home, we visited Montpelier - home of James Madison. Thank you for the opportunity to rent your most wonderful vacation home! We plan to rent your chalet again in the future. We look forward til the next time." -Pio G. "Lovely, quiet refuge from the craziness of urban life! This chalet is quiet, comfortable, and outfitted with everything we needed for a lovely long summer weekend. We had two teenaged boys with us, and they loved sharing the loft upstairs, away from us adults in the bedroom on the first floor. The chalet was outfitted with all the cookware we needed to prepare several different kinds of meals. The bathroom is roomy, clean, and came with plenty of towels for all of us. We enjoyed the quiet of sitting on the decks, sipping our morning coffees or just reading in peace and stillness. Overall, a delightful rental property, and we would request it again in a heartbeat." -Cynde from Oak Hill, VA "I wanted to send you a note and thank you for a wonderful stay at your cabin. We really enjoyed our vacation. You have a lovely cabin! I even saw some hummingbirds at your flowers outside and found a four leaf clover in the front yard. I miss it already! It is so peaceful there. ... Hope to stay again." -Jennifer B. "Just wanted to let you know we had a great time at your chalet. It was the most relaxing vacation we have every had. You had the place stocked with everything needed. It was just like being at home. I had brought things from home and you already had them there. The view of the mountains was spectacular. We will definitely be renting it again." -Wanda and John B. "Just a quick note to say that we had another awesome experience at the Chalet. The ability to unplug from cell phones, emails, and the constant news cycle so prevalent in DC just multiplies the relaxation factor... we are vowing not to let 3 years pass again before returning and maybe stay when the weather is a little warmer, even though the 6-8 inches of snow on Thursday was so beautiful and the perfect addition to the fire in the fireplace and the Christmas carols on the Ipod! (Not to mention the glass of wine in hand!) And I can't remember the last time that I started and finished a booked in 3-4 days! Our best to you and Steve for a wonderful holiday and a very happy New Year!" -David M. "Just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed our stay in the chalet. Everything was perfect and sitting on the deck, listening to the birds and the wind in the trees, was heaven. And I have to say that we've never rented a condo or cabin as well equipped as yours - just wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for sharing." -Ann D. "We had a wonderful time in your cabin. It was so attractively and comfortably furnished. We loved watching the sun set behind the mountain from the deck and watching the resident rabbit nibbling on the grass in the back." -Alice S. "We absolutely LOVED our stay. What a lovely cabin! Thank you for making us feel so comfortable and pampered. Having pancakes with fresh maple syrup and delicious coffee while looking out at the beautiful mountains will be one of my favorite memories. We will definitely be recommending your beautiful cabin to our families and friends. Thanks you so much for everything!" -Christine C. "Our stay at the chalet was lovely, thank you. It was comfortable, extremely well appointed, and the little touches of hospitality (pancake mix and firewood) were much appreciated. I would definitely recommend the chalet to others." -J.M. "We had the most wonderful time in the cabin over the weekend. My mother and I absolutely loved it-- both the breathtaking views and the very comfortable interior. We hope to come back!" -Natalia B. "The cottage was great. We had a wonderful time.... We are both mountain folks by heart just not location, so it was nice to get away for a while." -Julie S. "Just got home and wanted to send you an email letting you know that Monica and I had wonderful weekend at your Chalet. It was so relaxing, and we fell in love with your place. We most certainly will be visiting again. It was fantastic!!!!" -John and Monica "I just wanted to thank you for the days that we spent at your chalet. We had a very good time and it was exactly what we were looking for. Everything was perfect! Hopefully we'll be back soon." -Hernan "Everything was superb - the linens, bed, nice couch, wonderful magazines, nice landscaping, grill, views. we spent a lot of time out on the deck, reading and just enjoying the remote-ness and beauty. thanks again." -Lalong "Just a thank you for allowing us the privilege of enjoying the hospitality of your chalet. The pancake mix was a great addition to our mornings on the panoramic deck. It was a wonderful weekend for us both and are planning a return trip sometime later. Take care and thanks again for a most enjoyable stay in the mountains." -Melissa and Daniel "Your Chalet was absolutely fabulous. My wife and I could not have asked for a more cozy place for our anniversary. The bay window sealed the deal, its going to be hard for me to top this next year. Thank you again." -Aaron W. "Just wanted to drop a quick note to say we had a fabulous time and your chalet is beautiful! thanks a bunch!" -Jamie "My uncle, Harry Robinson, rented your cabin this past weekend for my sister, her husband, my husband and me. We are from NC and since he was married Sunday, he wanted us to be close by. (His house is also on Overlook Mountain Road) We really enjoyed our stay in your chalet. My husband and I stayed in the loft and loved the openness of it and enjoyed the deck. Once we arrived Friday night, we didn't leave Overlook Mountain Road until Sunday morning!" -Lori "I wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed our stay at your cabin. My wife and I were both due for a much needed getaway from our jobs and your cabin made a nice home base for sightseeing around the area and the park." -Jim Z. "Truly wonderful experience, especially for our honeymoon! Our stay was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better cabin or a better location. It was great to get away and not have to worry about a thing." -Heather from Cumberland, MD "Lil Chalet in the woods. Very comfy, was heated and warm when we arrived at 2am. Keys were exactly where we were told we would find them. Very nice for 2 couples wanting to get away from it all. Kitchen was excellent for cooking, very comfy bedding." -Sandy from Levittown PA "My fiance and I were here for a week and loved it. Price is very good, clean, open space." -Ramish from Chicago "Romantic and Relaxing. The Shenandoah Chalet is a place we'd like to retire to... cozy, comfortable, and clean. I forgot peaceful - really peaceful. We enjoyed our entire experiences, our pancake breakfasts, our hikes, our all-night game of scrabble. It's going back to simpler times without shopping, traffic or craziness. When can we move in?" -Jackie & family from Rockville, MD "Excellent getaway choice near Shenandoah National Park. The Shenandoah Chalet is a very good choice as a home base for exploring the Shenandoah Valley or the National Park. Many other interesting places to explore are nearby, with Charlottesville and Monticello about an hour away. The chalet is situated a few miles from the Western park border northeast of Elkton Virginia and convenient to Skyline Drive and, further South, the Blue Ridge Parkway. Although some might see it as a disadvantage, the Chalet is rather isolated, well off the beaten path several miles off Highway 340. However, we really enjoyed the peace and quiet when not out sightseeing. The Shenandoah Chalet is perfect for a quiet getaway and would easily accomodate 3-4 people. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with a great variety of cooking utensils. The loft bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed and the small downstairs bedroom could accomodate another person or couple. The owners were very helpful, answering our email questions very promptly. Highly recommended!" -Boilermaker_91 from Oxford, Indiana "Romantic anniversary getaway. The cabin was incredible, The morning view when you wake up is breath taking. We enjoyed it very very much." -Happy Hearts from Richmond, VA "Pre-Baby Get away. My wife and I rented the Chalet while my was pregnant just as a getaway before my son came. The cabin is very charming and we had everything that we needed. There is an awesome view from the front of the cabin. Further, you can hear the nearby stream in the background. A very picturesque setting. I would definitely recommend this to anyone as a quiet getaway in the hills." -Zee from Silver Spring, MD "The cabin was really peaceful and easy to find, spending three nights there after our wedding in the area. We explored nearby swimming holes and flea markets and had a wonderful stay." -Leia P. "Wonderful cabin. Exactly as described. Even with the huge storm that moved through we didn't lose power unlike the neighboring town. which was great. Would recommend to anyone." -Frank C. "Just as advertised. I would recommend to a friend." -David N. "What a beautiful place! Stunning house and we had a very peaceful and relaxing stay. The house has everything you need and the directions make it easy to find. Lovely." -Laura F. "Great cabin and an enjoyable stay. Thanks!" -Jiasi C. "The place was very clean and cozy. The SpaceWe are so excited to be opening up our historic space again this Spring 2015. We hope that all of our guests will enjoy our space and all that Shenandoah has to offer. THE SPACE: Part of the Federal Government Buildings of Historic Record. The Building, nearly Condemned and survived 2 historic town fires sits adjacent to the town hall building. A 2 story building, Circa 1913 sits on the original "Main Street" of the historic Rail Road town. One of the few "changing stations" for the Rail Road sits just across the street. The top story has been Restored to a 1600 square foot 3 bedroom, 2 bath flat with a full living and dining room, kitchen, laundry and pantry room, and family room. The kitchen is centrally located and improved by granite counter tops. The lower floor has plans for 2 commercial spaces in the future. It is a very Unique Experience and the redesign of the top floor flat was specifically done by us to allow for an open floor plan while being able to accommodate our 4 children while we were deciding on our new home. Hardwood floors throughout and the original front brick wall left open to showcase the unique history and original front windows provides a flashback in time to 1913! Guest AccessGUEST ACCESS: The entire Flat and all it's ammenities. A flower shop, Gym, barber shop are literally a block away. This is a one Red light town! A local gas station with a McDonald's attached is pretty much the morning meeting place for locals and is only a short 4 block walk. Although a small town, it offers a couple eateries that are wonderful and have been here for years. Washington DC is within a 2 hour drive. The drive is a beautiful one, with mountains all around and within view most of the way, not your normal interstate drive, although you can go that way. The George Washington Forest and Shenandoah National Park are right here and include the Skyline Drive and 100's of Hiking Trails. The Shenandoah River is a Stone Throw from "The Building" with a local boat launch just down the street. Enjoy fishing, Kayaking, Canoeing, or just sit on a raft and float. Massanutten four season Resort is 15 minutes away with an Indoor Water Park, Skiing, Golfing, and other activities. Luray, VA is only 20 minutes away and has one of the most beautiful Caverns imaginable. Harrisonburg, Va and James Madison University are about 25-30 minutes and Charlottesville, VA and several Vineyards are about 35-40 minutes away. Of course, we just like spending time in the Historic Town with only 1 red light!. Interaction with GuestsINTERACTION WITH GUESTS: We are a busy little family with five children! We are living only a short distance away and do our very best to make sure you have a wonderful stay at this very special place. Our children call it "the building," which is it's unofficial name. We try to respond quickly to (website hidden)s and after booking, via phone and private email. REIVIEWS: Having never been to Virginia nor the Shenandoah Valley I picked Matt and Erin's place out of many choices. Both my travelling companion and I were ecstatic with our choice. Matt and Erin went out of their way to accommodate us as we were their first guests. The pictures are exactly what you get. A beautifully renovated building in a very friendly town. We used their place as a home base while we toured the area and were able to relax in front of the big screen tv on our return. All appliances are new and the furniture is top notch. Matt also arranged for us to drive the Skyline Drve for free. We never did meet but that is because we were out exploring the beautiful countryside. I am sure that all who take advantage of their home will be very happy they did. Coming from Canada I was astounded with the beauty of Virginia in general and Shenandoah in particular. The people are very friendly and as a tip the Mexican food restaurant on the road from Elkton is one of the best I have ever been to and I have been to many. John and I wish you the best of luck on your many future rentals and thank you from the bottom of our heart for your outstanding hospitality. I hope to return some day for an even longer stay. xJ Matt & Erin have put a lot of work into making this place very comfortable and up-to-date. It is a great place for a family, with three bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen, dining room, living room and play area (complete with toys for toddlers/young kids). They were extremely responsive to any questions we had and did their best to make sure we had a great stay. It was a good home base with short drives to many nearby attractions. You are also two blocks from a nice public playground, and also a short walk down to the river. xJ My husband and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend away and we found exactly that! Matt and Erin's apartment is very updated, comfortable, and had everything that we would need to (email hidden)ey communicated well with us prior to our arrival and were accessible anytime during our stay if we had any questions. We arrived on Friday evening and immediately felt relaxed and kicked off a perfect weekend at Shenandoah. On Saturday we had everything we needed to make a great breakfast at home and to start a great day of exploring. Their unit is located within a charming area, close to a beautiful river and surrounded with nature and also easy access to anything we needed. We had a great time hiking in Shenandoah, which is located only about 30 minutes away. After a full day of trails, coming home to their apartment was a great way to end a full day of exploring. We enjoyed relaxing, cooking a great meal, and watching DVDs on their TV while resting on their cozy couch and lazy boy pullout chair. Their home had all the comforts we needed throughout this special and much needed getaway. Thank you, Erin and Matt, for sharing your apartment with us! :) If you are looking for rest and relaxation, as well as some gorgeous day trips, their place is ideal. xS Never judge a book by its cover, open it up and get inside to understand the story. You get exactly what you would want here , a really good, clean, warm and interesting apartment, in a fantastic location, supported by Matt and Erin who will do anything to ensure that you love the place as much as they obviously do. A great few days - thank you. xR The NeighborhoodOUR FAVORITE THINGS TO DO: Camp fires by the river. Watching the trains. Hiking and going to the park just down the street with the kids. River Haven Cottage is nestled on the beautiful Shenandoah River with a spectacular year round view. The very name River Haven hints to its warm and cozy place on the river. Life at the cabin is very low key, just the place to relax and take it easy while having the full features of a home at your finger tips. Explore the river or the nearby national parks, all at your own pace. River Haven has something to offer for all who visit. River Haven is the perfect place to relax. Enjoy a local hike or sit back on our large deck and enjoy the river. River Haven offers all the comforts of home with the advantages of being located by the Shenandoah River. Bring a pole and lures and enjoy our abundant small mouth bass or take the canoe and tour the river. River Haven is situated on the northwestern portion of a 200 acre farm named Rivercrest that dates back to an original land grant from the King of England. The original deed granted hundreds of acres to the Moyer/Taylor family who were also distant relatives of our 12th President of the United States , Zachary Taylor. While the Taylors amassed most of their holdings through many local business dealings of the 1800's, the fertile soil and incredible waterfront beauty of Rivercrest always interested the last heir Everet to farm and cultivate the rich soil and produce abundant crops. In the 1960's, Mr. Taylor sold roughly an acre of riverfront property to a local businessman and soon after River Haven was born. The previous owners of River Haven upgraded and maintained the waterfront retreat and decided to share its peace, quiet, and solitude with the rest of those looking for a retreat away from the stresses of modern day life. And, to this day, these qualities make River Haven such a unique and incredible property and it invites you to feel like a part of the infamous Shenandoah River like no other can offer. As the owners of Rivercrest and now River Haven we are pleased that the two are once again joined together and we are anxious to add our touches to River Haven and for our guest to experience the stress and tension leaving as you make your way down past the historic farm that we and Mr. Taylor love and cherish and find your peace, solitude, and enjoyment in all that River Haven has to offer. The Unique Benefits of this Cabin: Explore the river or the nearby national parks, all at your own pace. River Haven has something to offer for all who visit. "First of all, no way was I expecting the chalet to have everything you needed. Overall we gave it "11" we will be back." -Gary and Sue V.  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Finally again thank you very much we had an amazing weekend, if you EVER consider selling your property PLEASE let me know, seriously there is not a place in the world that can fulfill exactly what we were looking for like yours did." The chalet is in a perfect location nestled in the hills and not far from great hiking, restaurants and adventure. "I just wanted to leave you an email that I forgot to send a long time ago. Thank you again!" -Jeff B. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "Just right!!! We have rented many cabins in many different areas. This cabin was just right. It felt very much like home. Some cabins are too rustic, or have to many unnecessary luxuries. This cabin, met in the middle, I did not pay extra for things I did not need, and yet was very comfortable." -Len and Ri from Longwood FL . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . They had everything you could think of from dishes & coffee to DVD movies. Highly recomended. Great price. "Perfect and affordable Place to Get-A-Way from the Hussle and Bussle. Highly Recommend!" -Guest Review from dmiller862000 - Jan 10, 2012 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "Wonderful vacation in the historic Shenandoah. Gaithersburg, MD." -Guest Review from urspider68 - Apr 6, 2012 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . A. from Globe Trekker . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Overall, a delightful rental property, and we would request it again in a heartbeat." -Cynde from Oak Hill, VA . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Our best to you and Steve for a wonderful holiday and a very happy New Year!" -David M. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "Excellent getaway choice near Shenandoah National Park. The SpaceThe "Treehouse" is a cabin sitting on a hillside, surrounded by trees. When you are sitting in the house or on its huge deck, it feels as if you are perched in the trees. It is a one-room cabin, with loft and large exterior deck. The first floor is a large open area, with living room, full kitchen and eating area, and bathroom. The second floor is a loft, accessible by ladder. There is a double bed on the loft and two double futons and one single (kid-sized) futon on the main level. Guest AccessAlso available at the Treehouse: * hammock * tubes (for floating on the river) * canoe * fire pit * kayaks (note: We previously had kayaks readily accessible at the Treehouse for guest use. Unfortunately, those kayaks disappeared, so we no longer store kayaks at the Treehouse. However, if you have transportation for them and would like to go kayaking, you can use our kayaks which we store elsewhere. Please let me know if you would like to use them and we will coordinate.) NOTE: Guests need to transport tubes and/or boats to the river. The Treehouse is a short walk from the river (about 1/4 mile). Tubing -- If you want to anchor and simply float on a tube, you can do that at the end of that walk (i.e., by the community's picnic area). If you want to tube *down* the river, the perfect put-in is 1 mile *up* the road, which allows you to float down a beautiful stretch of river which is largely calm but with short stretch of rapids (which keeps it a bit exciting), and then exit right by the road to the Treehouse. (This latter downriver float requires that you get the tubes to that put-in area one mile down the road. Our family sometimes drives there, then walks back later to get our car -- or sometimes we just walk up there, carrying tubes.) If using the kayak(s) or canoe, please keep in mind that moving between put-in and take-out locations is difficult without two vehicles (some guests have handled this situation with one vehicle and a bicycle). Sally can provide a map of public put-in access areas along the South Fork of the Shenandoah River, just ask. Interaction with GuestsWe do not live in Shenandoah, although we are there most weekends (staying in our other cabin about three miles from the Treehouse). As the time nears for your visit, we will send you information about how to access the Treehouse (key, etc.). The NeighborhoodThe Treehouse is located in the "Shenandoah Gap" community on a private mountain in Shenandoah, VA. As a Treehouse guest, you have full access to the Shenandoah Gap river access area, as well as to all common areas of the mountain (i.e., trails accessible off the road). Other Things to NoteThe Treehouse is a great location for activities year-round. It offers easy access to many local activities and destinations, including: * Spring, Summer, and Fall -- hiking, boating, fishing, tubing, Skyline Drive, winery touring, horseback riding, etc. * Winter -- hiking, Massanutten Ski Resort and Water Park (20 miles) And, of course, Luray Caverns is a must-see destination regardless of the time of year.

We receive dozens of calls a year from people asking how far our Inn is from Luray. Did you know that we are only 15 minutes or so from the underground wonders of the Caverns, the Shenandoah National Park, and the breathtaking views and hiking opportunities along Skyline Drive?
