The SpaceThe space is a highly unique shared living situation, lively at times but mostly a tranquil city haven, we are 10 creatively inclined artists and tinkerers made up of; tailors, a royal opera house technician, a jewelery designer, musicians and circus performers amongst other things, there are several workshops which help to facilitate the above which guests are welcome to use. You will have access to a highly unique experience which will hopefully leave you feeling inspired. We want our guests to feel flexible when they stay, you can be as sociable as you like, we love to chat and meet new people but if you fancy relaxing in the comfort of your private room to watch a movie please go ahead. Dollis hill underground station and Wilesden bus garage are only a couple of minutes walk from our front door and both provide excellent transport link into west and central London. The SpaceThis single room is small but very comfortable and big enough for 1 person. It has a table in case the guests wants to use the space to work, study or simply to leave the computer or tablet. There is unlimited, fast internet access in the whole apartment. The apartment was completely refurbished 7 years ago and it is very modern. My property is in NW10, Willesden Junction. It is an area very close to Wembley, Portobello Market and Queens Park, Westfield Shopping Centre and the Central Middlessex Hospital ( buses (phone number hidden) and 226). Transport facilities are very good, two underground stations ( Zone 2), Bakerloo Line which takes about 25 minutes to Oxford St or Piccadilly Circus. The overground will take you all over North London or to the South with a final destination in Clapham Junction. There are also a number of buses to take you to central London, number 18 to Euston, 266 to Hammersmith or to Golders Green. For more information look into (website hidden) where you can get all the information regarding public transport. If you like to exercise, Roundwood Park is just a 5 minute walk where you can exercise in a very relaxed setting but if you are more into swimming or weight training, Willesden Sports Centre is a 12 minute walk. The sport centre is very good and you can pay by the day, so you could incorporate training in your holidays or your short stay. For more information about the centre please have a look at their web page: (website hidden) There is also a Bikram yoga centre about 15 minutes bus ride from the flat: (website hidden) If you are interested in mediation and more alternative ways of life, the Brahma Kumaris centre is a 15 minute walk from the flat, more info in : (website hidden) The area has quite a few good affordable restaurants ranging from Spanish, Caribbean, Brazilian and Iranian as well as a few good pubs on the Harrow Road such as the trendy Paradise or William the IV. The flat was completely refurbished in 2009 with all modern facilities. You will have access to quite large family kitchen and if the weather is good, to a garden which faces the sun all morning and afternoon. You will also have access unlimited access to Internet through WIFI. I am flexible in terms of checking in and out and you will have your own keys. If you are a driver I have a guest parking permit so there is no problem for you to bring your car. I love London and have quite a busy social life, so I can also give you information about this wonderful city in terms of what is going on for people who want to feel the real London and not just the tourist visits and if you are a dancer... that is my passion, so you will have all that information at your hands. I speak English, Spanish, French some Portuguese, some Italian , and my son is fluent in French so we can answer questions in a few languages and help you if you need further information about the area. The NeighborhoodI love the diversity, different cultures and sometimes the crazy ambience that the area provides. If you are a cook, the area is like Aladin's Cave. You can find meats from Brazil in the local Brazilian's butchers. All type of Caribbean food at Blue Mountain ( a shops that caters for the Caribbean community). There is also a 24 hour supermarket that offers Turkish food, olive bar, polish deli counter and freshly baked bread. There is also some good restaurants in the area such as Iranian food, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian. I love the fact that you don't have to leave the area in order to meet all these different cultures. There are also a couple of Brazilian/ Portuguese clubs with one of them offering Kizomba classes. Getting AroundThe flat is located 12 minutes walk from Willesden Junction. The Bakerloo line will take you to central London in 25 minutes, Picadilly Circus and the overground can take you to the North of London in very short space of time as well as to the South of London ( Clapham Junction). The M1 is 10 minutes drive from the flat and the North Circular is also very close. The M40 is about 15 minutes drive.

The SpaceI live in a 4 bedroom house, living room,new modern kitchen and dining room ,garden with lovely decking and 2 bathrooms/toilets,in a safe,quiet tree-lined street in the center of London,with beautiful Gladstone park moments away. 3 mins walk to Dollis Hill tube( jubilee line zone 3) or a bus ride away to local Willesden green,Kensal rise and Queens park, and trendy Notting hill gate,with plenty of restaurants ,bars,shops and cafes to keep you amused. 20 -30 mins by tube will get you to Oxford st /Bond street/Westminster and of course Harrods in Knightbridge. For Museums and Art gallery's there is the Embankment . Museums, including the British Museum and the Natural History and Science Museums, Tate Britain, Tate Modern, National Gallery, London Zoo, numerous theaters and restaurants are easily accessible by underground and bus. Good road links will take you further afield if you want to explore more of England. Sports fans - we are a 15 minute drive from Wembley stadium, 10 minutes from Lords cricket ground (both of which are 2012 Olympics venues), and we have a direct train line to Stratford Olympic stadium complex, taking around 40 minutes. We are around 40 minutes drive from Heathrow or Luton airports, 10 minutes to Paddington station, 15 minutes to the Eurostar terminal at Kings Cross which takes you directly to Paris in 2 hours. I am a make up artist who works on Tv and film, my husband is a Art director. We have a 9 year old daughter and my eldest girl lives in Amsterdam studying in University. We have 2 beautiful cats who are very friendly,and recently acquired a small dog we call Rufus. I have a double room or a single room available both with TV free view box,Internet and free Wifi with a nice view to the garden. On the top floor (2nd )the double guest room has a kingsize bed plus a sofa /futon style fold out bed ideal for a small child.( £60.00 for 2 people sharing per night or £45 for one person) On the 1st floor there is a single room ( £35.00 for 1 person per night ) Both rooms have fresh linen and towels included. A continental breakfast is also included on a self help yourself service. Guests have limited use of the kitchen,dining area and garden. You will walk through the shopping area to get to my home and we have pubs, cafe's and a few bars and restaurants. you can buy food 24 hours a day but its not a busy night life area. Getting AroundI am at the edge of zone 2 ( zone 7 being the furthest away from central London).We have two tube stations on the Bakerloo line, Willesden Junction (zone 2) and Harlesden.( zone 3). Train links to the Clapham in the south of London, the overground circling around London and a fast train to Euston. 3 buses that travel 24 hours a day. Other Things to NoteYou are staying with me in my home. This is NOT a Hotel. We are a bus ride away from Wembley stadium and a short train ride to the Harry Potter studio. Very near the famous Portobello Road Market where you will find the book shop in the film "Notting Hill". Its easy to get to the famous Camden Market on the overground.

Getting AroundI live at the edge of zone 2 (there are 7 zones in London, zone 7 being the furthest from the centre) Willesden Junction is zone 2 (17 minute walk) and the fifth biggest transport hub in the UK with the Bakerloo tube, over ground train around London, fast train to Euston and train to south London. Harlesden ( zone 3) is closer (12 minute walk) on the Bakerloo line. We have 3 x 24 hour buses. No 18 night bus from central London. London is a huge city and we cant all live on top of a tube station. You will find you have to walk between stations and places of interest. the times to walk are for a normal person who knows where they are going. The SpaceYou will have access to everything in my home - whether reading is your thing, films, Sega (!) or cooking you are welcome to make yourself at home. The apartment is on the first floor with a balcony. There is fast wireless internet throughout the apartment. The bedroom faces the communal gardens at the back of the flat so it's super quiet. It's fully furnished with double bed and sliding wardrobe with built in shelves. Towels and bedding is supplied - the mattress is super comfy and hard. Hair dryer, GDH straighteners even, shampoo, soap etc all provided in the shared bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and stuff including a token popcorn maker which is...awesome, and a herb garden - although admittedly the basil has died, and admittedly it's not a garden with any herbs right now. I have lived in London for nine years and although a country girl at heart I love London and know it very very well. So you can feel free to pick my brain on restaurants, theatre, film nights, live music, exhibitions or simply where to get a good coffee! Guest AccessYou will have your own key to come and go. The NeighborhoodHarlesden is a buzzing spot, it's a real community in London - just about any food type you can imagine, friendly locals and neighbours, never a dull moment! Caribbean, Portuguese, Irish, Brazilian! Roundwood Park is down the bottom of the road - a beautiful, quiet park. Wembley Stadium is a ten minute bus ride away, as is Westfield and Notting Hill. Getting AroundHarlesden tube station (Bakerloo line) is less than a five minute walk. Willesden Junction (Bakerloo line and Overground) is less than a ten minute walk. Gatwick and Heathrow Airports are very easy to get to from the apartment. I am very happy to help out with taxis if you have an early start or a late arrival. There are very good bus links including nights buses which stop right outside the door. Other Things to NoteThe canal is nearby so you can easily walk to Portobello Road in Notting Hill in about 30 minutes if you enjoy that sort of thing!

It is an area very close to Wembley, Portobello Market and Queens Park, Westfield Shopping Centre and the Central Middlessex Hospital ( buses (phone number hidden) and 226). Transport facilities are very good, two underground stations ( Zone 2), Bakerloo Line which takes about 25 minutes to Oxford St or Piccadilly Circus. The overground will take you all over North London or to the South with a final destination in Clapham Junction. There are also a number of buses to take you to central London, number 18 to Euston, 266 to Hammersmith or to Golders Green. For more information look into (website hidden) where you can get all the information regarding public transport. If you like to exercise, Roundwood Park is just a 5 minute walk where you can exercise in a very relaxed setting but if you are more into swimming or weight training, Willesden Sports Centre is a 12 minute walk. The sport centre is very good and you can pay by the day, so you could incorporate training in your holidays or your short stay. There is also a 24 hour supermarket that offers Turkish food, olive bar, polish deli counter and freshly baked bread. There is also some good restaurants in the area such as Iranian food, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian. I love the fact that you don't have to leave the area in order to meet all these different cultures. There are also a couple of Brazilian/ Portuguese clubs with one of them offering Kizomba classes. Getting AroundThe flat is located 12 minutes walk from Willesden Junction. The Bakerloo line will take you to central London in 25 minutes, Picadilly Circus and the overground can take you to the North of London in very short space of time as well as to the South of London ( Clapham Junction). The M1 is 10 minutes drive from the flat and the North Circular is also very close. The M40 is about 15 minutes drive.

If you don’t fancy walking too far There are a wide range of Takeaway food joints just a few minutes walk from here on the high st with plenty of convenient shops. The SpaceHi & Welcome This is a Nice warm Double sized room in a Retro Style House close to the Centre of London This Room is on the 1st floor in a private 3 Bedroomed house. Window facing front of house. It has a 2 single beds( which can also be put together to make one large king size bed if you prefer). Also there is a big comfortable Ikea Sofa bed which sleeps 2 if there are 4 of you staying, The room has a good size Wardrobe, and a small table and a TV. Children under 5 yrs old (NO CHARGE) Wifi available, . You will be provided with clean sheets, pillows, Also towels and toiletries (soap, shampoo & conditioner) if needed. Iron and Ironing board if needed and hair dryer The Price of the room includes Heating,Hot water, gas, electricity, use of the kitchen diner TV area with all utility's for cooking. Self Service Continental Breakfast will be provided, (such as Tea, Coffee, bread, milk, and cereals). Shared kitchen, Laundry facilities (Washing Powder & conditioner) , with your own food cupboard in the kitchen and fridge shelf if you need it Free parking is available on the street outside the house. The house contains three bedrooms. Toilet and wash basin, separate bathroom with power shower & bath tub that is shared with short stay Airbnb guests sometimes. They are reliable, tidy and friendly. They are out sightseeing most of the day! Getting around town is easy! Travel and Leisure/entertainment information provided! No need for a Tourist Guide as I am happy to give you as much information as I can as I have lived in London all my life! Camden Town is a quick and easy journey from the house; you can take the extremely comfortable, brand new Overground from Willesden Junction and be there in just 20 minutes. Willesden Junction is 10 minutes by the 266 bus from outside the house). There you can visit the famous Camden Lock Market, where you can browse in the unique shops, and grab a vintage bargain, great variety of International Food Stands to choose from, Delicious! . There is also a massive Westfield Shopping Centre only 20 minutes away by bus from here! There is a local market down the road within walking distance which is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays The Nearest underground station is Neasden. Travel Zone 3. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the house. This is the silver Jubilee line which takes about 20 minutes to get to (Green Street) Buckingham Palace and about 20 minutes to Houses of Parliament Big Ben and the London Eye/ Baker Street (Madam Tussauds), also Oxford Street (bond Street) (Selfridges, John Lewis) 20 minutes by tube.. The house is also close to other locations such as Portobello Market and the Ace cafe London,( Nostalgic Bikers Club/Cafe) The nearest hospital is Central Middlessex Hospital which is 10 minutes away by bus. Buses 266 and 260 are 3 minutes walking distance from the house on the High St. If you like to exercise as well as enjoying peaceful scenic views, the lovely Roundwood Park is just a 10 minute walk where you can exercise in a very relaxed setting and stop for a tea and pastry at the very friendly family cosmopolitan park café. If you are more into swimming or weight training, Willesden Sports Centre is a 15 minute walk. The sport centre is very good and you can pay by the day, so you could incorporate training in your holidays or your short stay. If you fancy cycling, there is a lovely scenic route along the Canal side starting from Willesden all the way to Camden Town passing through Little Venice and London Zoo. Really nice 1 Hour bike trip. You can rent a bike from as little as £2 a day! .. If you want to feel like your in the heart of the Carabbean, Harlesden Town centre is just a 10 minute walk away from the house where you will find a variety of Afro/carabbean food shops & Takeaways, hair & nail parlours, Fishmongers as well as main stream franchises such as Tesco’s, Peacocks, Iceland, Poundstretchers and Argos and the 99p Store. Ikea is also just a ten minute walk from the house in the other direction. If you don’t fancy walking too far There are a wide range of Takeaway food joints just a few minutes walk from here on the high st with plenty of convenient shops. A Lovely Bakery, English Fish n Chip shop, Tops Pizza, Caribbean, Indian and a Post Office, Cash point and Chemist and local supermarket Perfect Location, lots of privacy Nearest Airport Heathrow, also good connections to Gatwick, Luton and Stanstead, when you book I will give you directions from the Airport to my house!
