The SpaceThe room is in a 1950's home with original hardwood floors and windows on two sides. A full guest bathroom is across the hall. The backyard opens onto the public golf course and the patio is lovely to sit on and watch wildlife on the golf course (there are red fox, hawks, and owls). Two cats also call this house home and will be in the common areas. Guest AccessGuests will have access to a private bathroom, shared kitchen, living room, and dining room. Guests may use all kitchen amenities for cooking. Guests can access the golf course from the backyard but must pay to play (it is a public course). Wi-Fi is included. I provide a light breakfast and do take requests if there is something you really enjoy. On weekday stays breakfast will be made earlier, like muffins, or I will leave out oatmeal and fruit where you can fix your own.On weekends you might be lucky enough to find quiche, cinnamon rolls, or even pancakes and bacon. I do not drink coffee but have a small coffee pot where you can prepare your own when you wake up. Interaction with GuestsThis is my home so I will be in and out during your stay. I can be as involved or uninvolved as you want. I am happy to suggest activities or restaurants. The NeighborhoodIt is a historic neighborhood with large trees growing over the road. It captures your attention as soon as you see it. There are sidewalks and little traffic so it is a great place to go for a walk or run and explore. Getting AroundMy house is near the Broadmoor and Highland lines for Sportran (Shreveport's public bus system). Information is available on the sportran website. The majority of the population uses private vehicles so routes may not be as developed as you would find in a larger city.

I enjoy meeting the interesting people who come to stay here. Interaction varies. Sometimes we enjoy Saturday morning coffee and exchange stories, other times I'll welcome a guest and not see them again until they leave and place a farewell note with the key. I get the Airbnb messages on my phone and am pretty quick to reply. The NeighborhoodThis is a particularly lovely part of town.
