Interaction with GuestsI can be reached by text, or you can open the kitchen door to the downstairs area and I will hear you. The NeighborhoodSignal Mountain is a lovely small town area with all conveniences nearby, but you are able to retreat back into nature. There are also many hiking trails on Signal Mountain. The SpaceSince it is an older home, it comes with a lot of charm, as well as a few quirks like squeaky stairs. They aren't very loud, but a sound machine can be provided if need be :) There is a wrap around driveway with plenty of parking provided. Our house sits on almost 2 acres with lots of grass and woods that gives you a mountain vacation feeling. We have two dogs (Lily and Mowgli) that are extremely friendly after they know you are friends of their owners. If you are a dog lover they can be your sweet four legged family while you're away from home. Or, if you are not too keen on dogs, you won't even know they live here. (Just let us know prior to arrival) Our bedroom and bathroom, and office are upstairs so you will have the downstairs bathroom mostly to yourself besides the shared common spaces downstairs We also have a campsite on our property so you may be able to meet some campers during your stay as well. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size, gel-memory foam mattress that can comfortably sleep two people. The bedroom sits near the downstairs full bath. We also have a big comfy couch that can sleep a third person. If you have more than three people in your group, we have a second guest bedroom right beside the main guest bedroom. This room has a double bed and can comfortably fit a fourth or fifth guest(depending on the size people). The total cost for both bedrooms would be $135 a night plus $10 with the cleaning fee ($80 for first bedroom with $5 cleaning and $55 for second with $5 cleaning). Air bnb just calculates the total based on people. I can adjust the reservation price once the reservation is accepted. We have a water filtration and softening system that provides fresh, and purified drinking water, which also provides water to our showers, softening your skin and hair. Guest AccessAs a guest in our home you will have access to the downstairs bedroom, downstairs bathroom, kitchen which is shared, and washer and dryer if needed. You may also use our dining room or living room which has Apple TV with Netflix. We do live here so we may be using the dining room, living room or kitchen at some point during your stay. We also have hammocks nestled among the trees(let us know prior to arrival if you'd like them to be set up) with a fire pit and benches pending no air bnb campers. You will just need to provide your own wood. We also have 2 hybrid bikes available for rent. Interaction with GuestsEven though you'll come as a stranger, we hope that you will leave as a friend! We are a 50-50 couple | One introvert one extrovert. That being said, we will give you as much privacy or interaction as you would like. Chattanooga is an incredible city with warm community and amazing local food. We love meeting new people and offering advice on things to see and places to go. Our schedules are always changing so we may be home, but we may not be. The living room is shared, as well as the kitchen/dining if we are home. Our bedroom and bathroom, and office are upstairs so you will have the downstairs bathroom mostly to yourself besides the shared spaces downstairs. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is very safe, quiet and woodsy. We are close to the city, but far enough away that it provides you with that true getaway experience. We have around 2 acres so you really get that tucked away feeling. Getting AroundWe have 2 bikes available for rent. If we are available we would be happy to provide transportation if needed. Otherwise, Uber is probably the cheapest transportation around. Other Things to NoteWe have a big comfy couch for a third person if needed :) $15 for third person. We also have a second guest bedroom if you are traveling with more than three people. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full bed. The total cost for both bedrooms is $145 a night ($80 for first bedroom with $5 cleaning and $55 for second with $5 cleaning). I can adjust the total once the reservation is accepted :) We also have 2 bikes available for rent. We do charge a pet fee. We love pets but they do require a more intensive cleaning afterwards. Let us know if that is something you are thinking about. Also, if not read in the previous sections, Our bedroom and bathroom, and office are upstairs so you will have the downstairs bathroom mostly to your self besides the shared common spaces downstairs.
