We do ask that you please treat our home as you would yours, with tender, love and care. Dispose of trash properly. Please do not leave food outside of the kitchen. Or leave food unattended outdoors. Please clean up any spills. Upon leaving, please take all of your belongings from the fridge or dispose of them in the garbage. Place large garbage bag from trash can in the large garbage bin that is by the mailbox. NY recycles, please place all recyclables in proper bin that is by the mailbox. Please be sure that the lids on large garbage and recycling bins are fully closed at all times. Thank you!

WI-FI and TV
Please note that the WI-FI here might not work as fast as in big cities. We are in the country and unfortunately there is only one carrier that comes to this road. If you need a faster connection, the Marcellus Free Library offers a connection or there is a Panera Bread in the town of Camillus. We only subscribe to a few TV channels. Please do not subscribe or buy any channels or movies through our network. We have a DVD player right next to the TV and there is a RedBox DVD movie rental at the Tops grocery store store in Skaneateles.
Dogs are welcome to our home! We love dogs. They are welcome to roam freely about the house, if that’s what they do at your home. We do ask that if you are leaving your dog alone in the house, please confine him/her in the large crate that is in the mudroom. Other pets are welcome as well, just please be sure to take precautions in what they do around the house and are properly confined if left alone in the house. Thanks!

The Village of Skaneateles
The Village of Skaneateles and Skaneateles Lake are located just 4 miles from here. Take Rt. 321 South to the Village. No matter the time of year, the village and lake are beautiful. If you happen to be here in the Winter, we encourage you to go to the Village. The Village becomes enchanted into a Dickens-era Christmas Village, with costumed characters, Christmas carol singing on the streets, and horse-drawn carriage rides. It is something phenomenal!

Skaneateles Lake is open for swimming in the Summer with lifeguards on duty. The water is clean and clear but remains a bit cold. Swimming in the Spring and Fall are allowed at your own risk. A wet suit is recommended during those two seasons.
Kayaking and SUP
Skaneateles Village allows kayaking and SUP at the lake as long as you use the small launcher accessible in the public area of the lake. For kayak or SUP board rentals, the Camillus Kayak Shop is a good place to go. Located on Main St., Camillus, NY. Call (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) for availability. Please be aware that boats go fast at this lake, therefore stay in the public area of the lake. For questions and information about kayaking and SUP in the lake, you can call the Village at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).
Central NY requires fishing licenses. You many obtain a fishing license at the Town of Skaneateles Office, 24 Jordan St., (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). You may find fishing items at Bearwood Bait and Tackle Shop located on Crow Hill Road, (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). A bigger fish store near is Bass Pro Shops, located at the Fingerlakes Mall, 1579 Clark St., Auburn, NY. Open Mon-Sat 9am-9pm; Sun 9am-6pm. You can also get a fishing license at Bass Pro Shops.

Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery

Thayer Park on the lake, just east of the town, is a great spot for fishing.
If you have a boat, there is a boat launch at Pine Grove, located on State Route 41A, about 2 miles south of town, on the west side of the lake, is free and offers a good spot for cold water fishing.
In the Winter, ice fishing is allowed. Check with the Town of Skaneateles Office about
lake temperature and permits.
Oneida Lake has been called a fishing paradise. You can even rent a boat at many of the marinas there. Check out (URL HIDDEN) for specific information.
