In the local area you will find everything you need for a great stay; there are cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and pubs all within walking distance. There are also good transportation links; my house is just a short walk from two stations; where there is a regular service to London Paddington and Waterloo, which can take as little as 30 minutes.
My house is perfectly located for visiting Windsor Castle. It is just a short walk to the castle which is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and also the official residence of the Queen. The Castle covers an area of about 13 acres, and contains the State Apartments, pieces from the Royal Collection, The Drawing Gallery, St George's Chapel, and many other treasures!
We are also close to the river and the Long Walk, and just across the bridge from Eton village; with its quirky shopping street, college and cathedral.
There is a lot to enjoy, over 2 million visitors a year can't be wrong.
If you need to know anything please do not hesitate to ask. Interaction with GuestsWe interact as much or as little as the guests feel comfortable. I do work outside the house and freelance but, we have a wealth of local knowledge to tap into that we can support your stay with and I make an effort find out what you might need when we welcome you to make your stay work for you. I am always contactable if needed.
We respect many people wish to have the opportunity to take some time out in their room, work, read, or while away the night in your own space.
Guests are free to come and go as they wish. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is safe and friendly, it is also 5 mins walk from the town centre, with its numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants. It is a tourist destination and so it is a very desirable town. Getting AroundIf you need a taxi I highly recommend Windsor Radio Cars, (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), they are the best value, reliable and trustworthy. Please consider calling them for transport to and from the airports particularly, and all short journeys in the area are best served by them.
Windsor has two train services into London, and ample bus and coach services to the rest of the country. It also has very easy access to the M4.
Otherwise everything is within walking distance. Other Things to NoteWe live here, and we have enjoyed years of good relations with our guests, many have gone on to become friends.
