This single story newly renovated apartment style home is located on the beach side of King George Avenue and is just a short 400m walk to the sparkling waters of Somerton Beach. Somerton Beach Pad is light and bright and has been designed for couples who want a romantic getaway or executives and families who want the comfort of a home away from home. The accommodation is comprised of two bedrooms. Bedroom one contains a QS bed and built in robes. Bedroom 2 can be configured as either a King Bed or 2 King Single beds. The property ideally sleeps 4 adults. Extra toddler or infant can be catered for. All linen and towels are provided. Beach towels are provided in summer and fishing gear etc is available upon request. The property has been completely renovated with high quality modern finishes and quality furniture. The modern kitchen includes a dishwasher, cooktop, oven, microwave, full size fridge, crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking facilities. The pantry is stocked with plenty of basics like olive oil, spices etc. Also provided for your enjoyment is a Nespresso coffee machine including a selection of coffee pods. The living area includes an LCD television, BluRay/DVD player, and a small stereo with iPod dock. The brand new bathroom is beautifully finished with stone floors and a large glass-enclosed double shower. We provide quality amenities from Australian company Milk & Co. In addition to the private front garden there is also a small but sun drenched rear courtyard. A small vegetable and herb garden is located in the rear courtyard and you can help yourself to fresh herbs and sometimes seasonal vegetables. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire property. The NeighborhoodWalk down to the beach at the end of the street and you will find the Somerton Park Yacht Club, Whyte St park & playground, and great cafés at the Somerton Surf Life Saving Club and the Broadway Kiosk. Somerton Beach is arguably Adelaide's finest beach and you can often see the dolphins or seals swimming just a few metres off the beach in the crystal clear water! Walk along the wide and well-lit esplanade walkway either 20 mins north to Glenelg or 20 mins south to Brighton. This is truly one of Adelaide's best areas for walking or cycling. In Glenelg you will find Nightlife including many options for eating out, shopping or entertainment. In Brighton there are many specialty shops and more fantastic restaurants. Getting AroundThere is secure off street parking for one large or two small cars, although on this wide blue ribbon street there is always plenty of on street parking available too. The front garden is also securely fenced with a lockable gate. Bus stops are located within a few mins walk and will take you to Glenelg, Brighton, Marion or Adelaide and only a few stops will see you jumping off in Glenelg and able to hop on a tram to the city if you wish.

It's a 15 minute walk to the beach and to the shops, cafes and restaurants in the popular tourist spot of Glenelg. Further afield and it is a 30 minute drive to McLaren Vale wineries, and into the city. Getting AroundOnce you are in Glenelg you can jump on the tram into the city. That's also perfect for a show at the Entertainment Centre, the Festival Theatre or a game at Adelaide Oval.

        This 1880s character cottage is the perfect place to stay at any time of year. Enjoy Glenelg's white sandy beaches in summer, then stroll home for a glass of wine on the deck in the enclosed rear courtyard. In winter, warm yourself with a spa and relax by the cosy open fire. It is just 15 minutes from Adelaide Airport, and 30 minutes bus ride to the city, with great cafes and shops in easy walking distance. There is a private parking space in the courtyard. The space The cottage known to us as the "Matisse Suite" is decorated throughout with many of our favourite prints by Henri Matisse. Attractive features: Baltic timber kitchen is light-filled and has a stainless steel dishwasher, stove and oven. Classic black and white bathroom with generous spa. High ceilings and polished wooden floorboards throughout. Main bedroom with comfortable Queen size bed and ceiling fan. Lounge room with open fire, smart TV, DVD player and ceiling fan. Wifi access.
