Guest AccessOutside Spa Jacuzzi, Laundry Facilities (washer,dryer,iron), Cable TV, Smart DVD HD, Roku, 2 large flat screens, 2 fireplaces. This is the place to relax and revel in the peace and quiet; truly a GETAWAY!! A long row of Eucalyptus trees will lead you to our gate. Interaction with GuestsOur availability is by phone/text/email as much as needed. This Property is also our weekend retreat when it is not occupied by guests. Our Orchard manager comes daily however not to the house, only the surrounding orchards during normal working hours. Guests will not have interaction or see them, maybe only hear a quad runner during the day. OPTION: With advance notice, we can provide groceries for you for reimbursement (no extra charge). The NeighborhoodSomis is an Agricultural community, mostly Avocados, Citrus, blueberries and row crops. Also there are many Equestrian Facilities nearby, the famed Spirit Equestrian is literally down the street within walking distance. Weather is generally very pleasant. Can get windy during the Santa Ana winds season in the Fall. Other than that its California at its best! Getting AroundWe are close to various freeways, the (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (the twenty three), 101 (the one O one), and the 126 (one twenty six). No convenient public transit, you need a vehicle. If you go South we are close to Moorpark, Simi Valley; SW is Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village; West is Camarillo and Channel Islands; NW is Oxnard, Ventura and Santa Barbara. Schools: Cal State Channel Islands, California Lutheran University, California Institute of Arts. FUN: Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor Theme parks are in Santa Clarita, about 45 min drive. Universal Studios and Hollywood are about 1hr away. Disneyland is approx 1hr45 min away. Also can drive to Santa Barbara, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, Ojai, Solvang, etc.. all less than 2 hr dr. Other Things to NoteDuring the Spring we have bee hives placed around the orchard, they are necessary for pollination. We have also added a Chicken Coop, with 10 chickens and a rooster. They are far enough away from the main house so as not to disturb the peace. We like to sleep in too! Lots of fun to have the kids go collect FRESH eggs!

The SpaceThis residence is built into a hill side. The private balcony overlooks Camarillo, the Santa Monica Mountains and boasts ocean views of the Channel Islands, Anacapa and Santa Cruz Islands. There is a private entrance to the room, which is equipped with wireless internet connection, television, luxurious king size bed, en-suite bathroom and large closet, small frig and microwave. If you want to cook you can have easy access to the main kitchen. Places of interest within 45 minutes' drive include Universal Studios, Beverly Hills Rodeo Drive, Venice Beach, Hollywood Sign, Getty Villa, Malibu, Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, local missions (San Buenaventura, Santa Barbara, Santa Ines, Los Olivos), Ronald Reagan Library, Air Force 1 Museum and Camarillo Premium Outlets (120 brand name shops, 8 mins away). Activities include ferries to Anacapa and Santa Cruz islands, kayaking around Anacapa, whale watching (when in season), surf beaches 20 minutes away, great biking and walking trails and much more. Guest AccessHouse kitchen and barbeque if you want to cook a meal. Interaction with GuestsCertainly available for any help or directions guests may need. We're a very friendly family and so guests are welcome to chat, relax and enjoy our company. Otherwise we respect their privacy. The NeighborhoodWe love the red tailed hawks that are constantly circling overhead, the soft hooting of owls in the early morning and occasionally the howl of kyotes in the hills behind the house. Getting AroundThere is no local public transport available to our house. One guest used a bicycle, but it's quite a hill, he was very fit, car rental is easier.

The SpaceOur home is a quiet ranch on 4.5 acres overlooking the city of Camarillo, the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. We raise avocados and mandarins (tangerines) and are situated about 450 feet above the valley floor. A private entrance opens to the room; however, you are welcome to use the main entrance to the house. The room has a queen-size bed, flat-screen TV, free WiFi, and French doors that open onto a patio with an outdoor dining area and gas grill. Located across the hall from the room is a full, private bathroom. Just off the hallway is a convenience station with a Keurig coffeemaker, microwave, toaster oven, washer and dryer. Seating in the front and on the west side of the house offers views of the valley and the mountains, and on clear days, you’ll have a beautiful view of the ocean and the Channel Islands. We live at the end of a lane with barrancas lining both sides of our property. Along the way up to the house, you’ll pass by neighbors; however, it’s a quiet lot – except for some owls, hawks, quail, roadrunners, and other birds. Motor vehicle is the most practical way to reach our home because the lane is too steep for most cyclists. Of course, long-distance hikers would have no problem. Guest Access. Interaction with GuestsWe are available to help with directions, guest needs, and to suggest local activities. We enjoy meeting and interacting with guests but respect their privacy. Our main goal is to have you enjoy your stay in our home. The NeighborhoodWe live at the end of a lane. There are barrancas on both sides of our property. There are neighbors along the lane to our house, but for the most part, it is very quiet except for some owls, hawks, and coyotes. Getting AroundBy motor vehicle is the only practicable way to reach out home. The entrance is too steep for most cyclists. Of course, long distance hikers would have no problem. Other Things to NoteThere are many places of interest within an hour of Camarillo. Here's a partial list: Hollywood, Hollywood Bowl, LA theaters, Staple Center, Six Flags, Oxnard, Ojai, The Getty Museum and the Getty Villa, Channel Islands National Park ((URL HIDDEN) for park access), Santa Barbara, local missions, the Reagan Library and Air Force ONE Museum, endless camping and hiking, and the Camarillo Premium Outlet Mall. The beaches in Ventura, Port Hueneme, and County Line are nearby.

Located on a quiet cul de sac in the beautiful mission oaks community. Fast 50MB upload and download fiberoptic internet with wifi router that is great to stay connected while on vacation. The garage houses the washer and dryer and while the guest can have access, the guest will not have the ability to park vehicles or use the actual floor space of the garage as it will be already utilized.     You’ll love it here because of the seclusion. There are no neighbors, and it's peaceful and quiet. We have a rope swing, a small 36 yard backyard par three golf hole, and a small whiffle ball field. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). Bring your tent. Yes, there's a clean outhouse. Animals you may see are rabbits (Conejo Valley), hawks, owls, quail, and maybe a roadrunner. Yes you need to bring a tent or other accommodations.
