The NeighborhoodI moved to Peckham quite soon after I came over from New Zealand and have been living here since 1996. It's a vibrant, eclectic inner city neighbourhood with much cultural diversity. Considered one of the coolest areas in London now, there's a great mix of African/South Asian/Eastern European communities to name the main ones and a fair few arty cafes, restaurants, bars, art galleries and so on. Peckham village is a 10-15 minute walk away and has some great bars and eateries; Frank's Bar, Bar Story, The Montpelier Pub, The Peckham Pelican, Peckham Refreshment Rooms, Peckham Bazaar, Artusi, South London Gallery/Cafe69 are some of my favourites. and the best coffee shops; Persepolis, Cafe Viva, Lerryns, Trio, Anderson & Co Our street, Peckham Park Road has a Newsagents (travel cards, groceries, off licence), 'greasy spoon' cafe, butcher, laundromat, dry cleaners and 3 takeaway bars. The bus routes are very convenient here to connect you to most parts of central London easily and quickly. Conversely, if you'd like to just get here, dump your bags and explore on your own, that is completely fine with us, too. We speak Engligh and conversational Spanish. The NeighborhoodWe are so close to the centre of the city- just 5 minutes on the train to London Bridge, or an easy 30 minute walk along the river. In this area, we have some fantastic markets, amazing food. There are also some great old pubs and restaurants, and lovely walks to take along the river and through parks. Getting AroundSo, so easy to get around from here. Be in Peckham, with its bright colours and great bars and restaurants, in 15 minutes. Or head into the city, catch a show in Covent Garden- you can be there in 20 minutes on the tube. Other Things to NoteCat lovers only please- we have 2. Like a lot of cats, they're pretty furry. Whilst we hoover regularly, you may get the odd hair on you. We're sorry about this. We'd shave them but I think they'd look a bit weird. Please note- a cash deposit of £20 will be required when we give you the key. This will be refunded upon your safe return of said key.
