Our Cranberry Way home is a charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath (one new) year-round home which is located at 47 Cranberry Way in South Chatham and it can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. It is only 0.6/mi. to Nantucket Sound, the warm water side of Cape Cod! It is a pet-friendly home (with an additional pet deposit requirement, refundable if there is no damage and a $10./day pet fee). We only rent on a week or longer basis during our short 10 week in-season time (end of June through Labor Day) but we will rent for a 3 night minimum rental period off-season. We do charge an additional $125. cleaning fee. This home has central A/C, wireless hi-speed internet, a wide-screen cable TV, DVD. CD player, fireplace, washer and dryer, microwave, and is very attractively furnished. It has a large and very private backyard with gas grill, picnic table and lawn furniture and is available for rent all year so enjoy the Cape off-season as well when the rates are lower than in the prime summer season. Linens can be provided for a $20 per person charge if you are traveling from a distance or flying. Chatham is one of the most popular towns on Cape Cod as it has wonderful restaurants, great shopping in very unique and fascinating stores, and you won't want to miss the seal watch tours in Chatham harbor or the deep sea fishing excursions as well. There are weekly band concerts in the town park that provide memorable evenings during the summer months. Also don't miss the delicious lobsters that can be purchased at the Chatham fishing pier. Chatham also has great museums and antique shops. It is on the list of the 10 Best Historical Resorts of Distinction in the US which has greatly increased the town's popularity. There is a wonderful summer theater where productions by the Ohio University Players are performed weekly in the summer (2 musicals and many great plays) where older parts are played by Guild members. There is something for everyone in the family to do in this community which is centrally located on Cape Cod, so there is easy access to Provincetown, Hyannis, Eastham, Orleans. Wellfleet and Truro and it is only a 2 hour drive to Boston for a rainy day activity. The Chatham beaches are on the warm water side of the Cape as the water temperature can vary as much as 10 degrees between the beaches on the north and south side of Cape Cod due to the presence of the Gulf Stream which flows along the south shore and then out to sea. And don't forget the wonderful bike trails all over Cape Cod that make the Cape such a sought-after vacation spot! You might want to spend a day on the fantastic trails through the National Seashore in Provincetown where you can stop and swim at Lighthouse Beach or the trails to Nauset Beach and Coast Guard Beach. Don't miss the Visitors' Center in Eastham where you can take in a movie or two on the history of Cape Cod or the shipwrecks off the coast of the Cape or visit the museum and gift shop to purchase your souvenirs. There are guided daytime walks and evening programs presented by the National Park Service employees as well which are well worth attending. You also won't want to miss the Ohio State Players productions at their theater in Chatham or the Cape Cod Playhouse productions in Dennis on Rt. 6A, the oldest summer theater in the United States. Eat in Kitchen is an open concept to the living room with fireplace and bright sun room with cathedral ceiling and more skylights with a slider doors leading out to the spacious rear deck overlooking the flower beds and herb gardens. This outdoor space has a new commercial infrared stainless steel grill and electric retractable awning to create a comfortable outdoor room. This home sits south of rt 28 close to Nantucket Sound, the preferred ocean side at the end of a cul-de-sac where kids can safely run, bike and play while parents enjoy this great living space. Situated at the end of a cul-de-sac it is very quiet with bird life galore. So peaceful all you hear is the ocean at night. Well, then...Pleasant Forest Shores just may be the place for YOU! Here's a summary: This listing is for Cottage #1 - A one bedroom cottage, with sun porch and open back porch. This original cottage has two adjacent twin beds with a day bed available on sun porch for a third person. Accommodates three people maximum but one/two preferred. Total size is 735 sq ft. including 160 sq ft via the two porches. Minimum stay: 5 nights. --------------------------------- Stay once...you'll want to return for decades as some of our customers have done before! Here are the reasons why: The cottages are located on a quiet street in a well maintained natural scrub pine and oak setting of about 2 acres with less than 5 min walk to two town beaches... They are generously spaced for privacy with average of 50 feet between units and average 30 feet from driveway... Units are very spacious compared to other colonies in the area...about 550 sq ft (approx 28' x 20') for two bedroom unit not including the screened porches averaging 90 sq ft... The cottages are unique in the style and quality of construction...based on Swedish "Stuga" (URL HIDDEN) father (who built them) was a professional cabinet maker so woodworking details are superb... They are furnished in the style of the 1950-60's but many units have had some/all new bedding and/or refrigerators and/or carpets installed since 2002... At the same time it is 3/4 mile to the beach, which is a nice bike ride down a beach access road. We are also across the street from a 40 mile bike trail that goes all the way to Wellfleet, and several miles to some wonderful ponds for swimming. Getting AroundNot really. A bus travels by the house twice a day which will take you to Hyannis. You can then take a train or a bus to Boston. The bus also goes to Orleans. It is easiest and recommended to buy lobsters from the fish market cooked and do the rest of the meal yourself at the house, it's much more straightforward and less work while you're on vacation (trust us, we've done this the hard way for many years to find out that this is considerably easier, cleaner, less hassle and no extra cost)! There is not a pot large enough to boil them at the house.

    The SpaceWelcome to Heiwa Home. The newly built house has been designed for outdoor living. With 700 square feet of porch and 6 ft pass thru window that connects outdoor bar area with kitchen and drink bar in the porch; the house is built for entertaining. About 800 square feet of bluestone patio overlooks newly landscaped rose garden. Bedrooms There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a king sized bed. The guest bedroom has a queen sized bed. The kids room has a bunk bed (twin on full) and a pullout twin bed. The basement has daybed (with two beds) and a single bed. All bed linens are provided. Bathrooms There are 3.5 bathrooms - 2 full bath in second floor, 1 full bath in basement and half bath in first floor. The Master bathroom has a spacious shower for two, soaking tub and slate floor. Kitchen The kitchen is equipped with new stainless steel appliances - gas range, fridge, dishwasher. We also have coffee maker, 4-slot bread/bagel toaster, waffle maker, and a blender. The house is equipped with dining sets, flatware and drinkware for 10 guests. The kitchen has a center island with bar seating for 3. The dining room has a huge table that seats 8. Basement - The house has been designed with a 10' ceiling in basement (rather than traditional 8' ceiling), so you will not feel cramped. The basement has a 48" LED TV with sound bar. There is a daybed with 2 twin bed and a single daybed. The full bathroom is close by. This living space has a walk out entry from the driveway. The basement also has an arcade style basketball system. There is a ping pong table in the garage. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire house. You can walk in the yard to the water's edge (marsh, not beach), or into the little town of South Chatham that has a fun family cafe and an upscale restaurant. You can take a longer walk to a beach, but we tend to drive so we can carry more gear. A short drive north is the town of Chatham known for its band concerts on Friday nights, great seafood, shopping and art galleries. In the other direction is Harwich with its majestic boat harbors, fish shanties, and the go-karts. New for 2015 is outdoor furniture, a new king bed, a nice TV in the king bed room with a Roku player for netflix and amazon movies, new glass doors, and white hyrdangea bushes on the road. Guest AccessThe entire house, one bedroom with a King bed and a 32' TV, one bedroom with a Queen bed (and a small TV), a porch room with bunk single beds, living room, kitchen with 4-burner stove top and an oven, a microwave, and a private enclosed outdoor shower with hot water. There is yard space for children to play. We have a grill, coffee maker, flowers, birds and a bird feeder. There is a cathedral ceiling and the bedrooms are separated by wall petitions so you can listen to a baseball game at night or just simply tell each other 'love you' as the night winds down. The bunk room has its own ceiling. Interaction with GuestsWe will help you plan your trip, and have lots of family and caretakers in the neighborhood, but the house is yours to enjoy by yourself. The NeighborhoodThis house was built in 1927 and is a true Cape cottage. There are plenty of birds, bunny rabbits, and even a fox can be spotted on the road. The living room and bedrooms share a cathedral ceiling so one can have privacy but still feel like part of the conversation. The ocean air breeze is dreamy. The ocean views are awe inspiring, and the stars at night amazing. Getting AroundA car is needed. You could walk to the beach (10-15 minutes), although we tend to drive since the beaches we like best are 10 minutes away and this way we lug coolers, chairs etc in the car. Hardings beach is awesome, you can drive right to edge with all your gear. A weekly pass is $60. So is Skaket beach, although it is the next town over (a different beach pass). Other Things to NoteThe only shower in the house is outdoors, enclosed and private. Its a blast to take a shower outdoors. Most every Cape rental, including this one, requires guests to bring their own linens and towels. There are great services that will bring you all you need, we can connect you with them. Cape Linen Rentals is one such company. * If you rent this house, you do so with the understanding that the shower is outdoors (enclosed, hot water, fun!) and that you need to bring linens/towels or contact a service to provide them. Also the living room and two bedrooms have walls but share a common ceiling. We mention this from feedback from prior guest, plus we have acquired an outdoor grill, coffee maker, and more plates based on feedback.

Here's a summary of this unit (the smallest of six in the colony): The "Apt" (Gotland) = One bedroom efficiency unit, with two twin beds, combined living/kitchen area, and half-bath. The very private outside shower (near back door) has both hot & cold water. It is the lower half of the owner's cottage. Capacity: Two people. Minimum stay: 5 nights Total size: 464 sq ft. Has NO porch but a single hammock and owner's picnic table are available for use. --------------------------------- Stay once...you'll want to return for decades as some of our customers have done before! Here are the reasons why: The cottages are located on a quiet street in a well maintained natural scrub pine and oak setting of about 2 acres with less than 5 min walk to two town beaches... They are generously spaced for privacy with average of 50 feet between units and average 30 feet from driveway... Units are very spacious compared to other colonies in the area... Also, we put a screened door on the outside of the entrance. This way you can have the inside door open and allow the sea breeze to flow in, keeping any bugs out! Sunlit 2 bedroom condo with queen sized bed downstairs. Full kitchen, includes coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, dishes, pots and pans, etc. Also includes cable tv, wifi, and air conditioning downstairs. Sitting areas upstairs and downstairs. Pullout twin bed upstairs. Private entrance and private patio area; onsite parking. Outside dining area and gas grill. 1/2 mile walk to Pleasant St beach, where there is free but limited parking available. The next beach over is at the bottom of Forest Beach Road, where there is more free parking and better availability. The beach is larger, and the marsh-side path is beautiful. 1/4 mile walk to coffee/pizza and fine dining. The Talkative Pig is a new addition to the neighborhood. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring locally sourced foods and pizza. Pisces Restaurant is excellent also. 1/2 mile to the Cape Cod Rail trail (fully paved scenic bicycle trail), Bicycle rental available nearby. 10 minute drive to Chatham Center, where you can shop or enjoy lunch and fresh seafood at the Chatham Squire, and head to Lighthouse Beach. The lovely town of Harwichport is five minutes west of Pleasant Street. More fine restaurants in the center of town, as well as homemade ice cream on the way at the Schoolhouse and at the Sundae School. Every other Wednesday evening is the Harwichport Stroll, with outdoor musical performances and welcoming businesses. The NeighborhoodWe are 1/2 mile from Nantucket Sound, with 2 nearby beaches (Pleasant Street and Forest Beach) that have free parking, if you get there in time!

    The SpaceThis spacious studio is in a quiet neighborhood, at the end of cul-de-sac. You actually can't see the house from the road, you can only see the top of the driveway. It abuts a working cranberry bog, with a trail from the home to 40 acres of conservation land. It is over a detached garage, and from almost every window, all you see are trees. The fully equipped kitchen includes a Keurig coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, full refrigerator with ice maker and stove. It is stocked with some basic essentials: dish soap, salt and pepper, flour, sugar. The back patio is surrounded by gardens and woods. Two beach chairs and four beach towels are provided, as well as a small cooler and a beach umbrella. The large bathroom has plenty of storage space, and a large tiled rainshower. A variety of towels and handcloths are provided. If you need more during your stay, just ask. Basic soap, toilet paper, paper towels and a hair dryer are also provided. There is a private ocean beach on Pleasant Bay where you can put a kayak, canoe, or small sailboat (bring your own chain and lock for safety!) within .3 miles of the home. At the end of the road is another conservation area with walking trails to a creek. My mother and I live in the house next door with our well trained boxer, Abbey. We are friendly, and somewhat busy in the summer, and leave how much interaction is preferred to our guests. Some people like privacy, which we respect. We are more than happy to share our favorite beaches (we know where the 'hidden' gems are!) and places to eat. We love to go to Cape League Baseball games. I am also involved in local theater as a performer. I am a licensed massage therapist, and I will give you a discount if you would like to book an appointment before you arrive. You could either have a treatment at my office space on Main Street in Chatham, or I could easily set up a table in your room. My mom and I have traveled the world (from Antarctica to the Arctic Circle) and enjoy meeting people from different places. We lived in Japan for several years, and have visited every continent and ocean (last trip was to Barcelona, Nice, Monte Carlo, Montenegro, Croatia, Venice and Rome!) And we love to compare notes with fellow travelers! Our neighborhood is quiet, and subdued, yet very convenient to everything. Less than 2 miles away is a major grocery store, pharmacy, post office, hardware and lumber store (in case you want to build a boat or something!). We are just three turns off the major highway (Route 6) so easy to find, and easy access to other parts of the Cape. Though we are technically in the town of Harwich, we are actually closer to downtown Chatham (a small main street of quaint shops). Friday nights in the summer there are free concerts at the bandstand, complete with the bunny hop and hokey pokey. There are free Cape Cod League baseball games at Veterans field, many of those players eventually play professional baseball. There is not public transportation easily available. A car is required to get around. You will have a designated parking spot, in the 'turnaround' spot to the right of the garage. If you have more than one car, we will ask you to park the second car at the top of the driveway, or in the dirt area off the side of the driveway. Getting AroundYou need your own transportation, but it is only a few miles in any direction to a pond, a bay, a 'big wave' beach, the grocery store and many quaint shops and restaurants. It is less than a mile to the beach, half a mile to the bike path and 2 miles to Chatham Center. This tranquil neighborhood allows for relaxation and peace of mind. Guest AccessGuests will have easy access to the house and garage. Interaction with GuestsGuests will have the house to themselves. Home owners will not be present. The NeighborhoodAlthough convenient to town and all the Cape activities, the neighborhood is tucked away off the main road on a quiet, lightly traveled lane, allowing for peace-of-mind during evening strolls or children playing in the yard. Getting AroundBiking is a great alternative to driving on the Cape. With the bike path running from Dennis to Welfleet & Chatham, no destination is off limits! There is an antique server topped with a microwave , Kuerig coffeemaker, and a toaster /convection oven. There is also a small frig . The cozy living area has a queen pullout sofa bed with a custom built -in very comfortable air-mattress. It also has HDTV and wireless internet. There is a barrister bookcase filled with books and a gate-leg table for those who choose to dine in. There is an alcove with a roll-top desk and chair. The bedroom area features a queen pillow- top high back bed in bronze with side and footrails. All the windows and french doors have all natural bamboo cordless shades for when you desire privacy. The suite comes fully equipped with all the essentials. Guest AccessI have an outside shower, firepit, and full size Weber grill behind the main house all of which my guests may use. There is also a full-size frig in the garage for additional use .There will be a table and chairs for the guests use on the lawn near the gardens and beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels provided. There is also a marble topped bistro table with chairs on the guests private deck. Interaction with GuestsI will interact with my guests as often as they choose, but of course I will respect their privacy if they so desire. I have lived on the Cape for 50 years and have extensive knowledge of the area. I have been a kayak group leader for 20 years and have hiked all over the Cape. I know all those special spots to go. I also have been a server for 50 years and know the best places to dine in the area. It would be my pleasure to help my guests with any suggestions they would need. The NeighborhoodIt is close to the post office, grocery store, pharmacy and the Cape Cod Hospital operated urgent care center. It is also within walking distance of many restaurants, for both dining and takeout. The neighborhood is quiet yet close to the highway, 2 miles to Nantucket sound beaches and a 5 minute drive to Pleasant Bay, 10 minute drive to downtown Chatham, and 10 minutes to the seasonal ferry to Nantucket. The National Seashore Visitors Center and beaches are less than 30 minutes away. Getting AroundThere is a bus that stops within walking distance of my home but it would be best to have your own transportation to easily access all that the Cape has to offer. Other Things to NoteMy home and decks are surrounded with flower gardens and shrubs. The back of the house and sides are wooded giving a real feeling of privacy.     The SpaceThis home (built by a sea captain) has been in the family for many years, and now for the first time we want to share it with you! It's a great Cape Cod getaway between two storied resort towns: Chatham, and Harwichport. The master bedroom is spacious and includes a double bed, dresser and closet. Bedroom two also has a double bed and enjoys plenty of sunshine, overlooking the large leafy back yard. The living room is 15'x15' with a fireplace (not usable at this time) and knotty pine plank walls. There is plenty of room in the dining room to share meals with family and friends, with an additional sitting or dining area in the kitchen. There is an outdoor shower where you can wash the sand off after a day at the beach, or use to get an early start on your day. The back yard is large and private, with a patio, table and chairs. A gas grill is there for your convenience to make an easy dinner after a day in the sun. The washer and dryer make things just like home during your stay: no trips to the laudermat! There are two restaurants close by and minimum walking distance: Pisces, and the Box Office Cafe. Both chefs offer fine dining for dinner. The Box Office also has excellent pizza and a full bar that boasts many choices for beer lovers. If you're eager to share Cape Cod with the people you love most and travel by bike, the Cape Cod Rail Trail is within 1/4 of a mile. Bring your own bikes, or rent them nearby. Everyone comes to the Cape to enjoy the beaches, right? The closest beach is a little over 1/2 mile from you, at the bottom of Pleasant Street. There is free (but limited) parking there, or you can walk down to this Nantucket Sound fun spot. The next beach over is Forest beach, which offers more parking (free) and more beach, as well as a beautiful marsh walking path. Most beaches require a beach sticker for parking, but not these two. There are supermarkets (Star Market and Stop & Shop) within 3 miles. Chatham is a well-known shopping town and just 7 minutes away. Harwichport is a beautiful resort town and 5 minutes to your west. Both towns have a lot to offer. If you want a choice of entertainment, spend the day and evening in Provincetown, which is only a 50 minute drive, Whales have thankfully been bountiful in recent years, so check out a whale watching tour. Ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket are available in summertime from Harwichport. Are you ready for your vacation?? Guest AccessYou have complete access to the first floor of this two-story home, as well as full use of the private back yard. The gas grill, patio furniture and outdoor shower increase your living space as well. There is a year 'round tenant in the apartment upstairs, who you may occasionally hear or see. The towns of Chatham and Harwichport are both good choices for shopping and restaurants. Other Things to NoteWe are happy to provide bed linens and towels for your stay. In order to do that for you and the guests that follow you, we ask that you wash and dry the used sheets and towels and start the dishwasher with your final dishes. Surrounded on three sides by conservation land with unobstructed views. Wildlife and bird watcher's paradise. Situated on private gravel road located just 1/10th of a mile from popular Ridgevale Beach. Amenities include new kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, cable TV with VCR and DVD, high speed Wi-Fi internet access, deck with furniture, beach chairs, gas grill & an outdoor enclosed shower. My perfect tenant is an adult couple or two that treat the house with respect and leave the place as they found it. There is a strict limit of 6 people, but availability / pricing is dependent upon the time of the season, length of stay, and the number of people. The upstairs master bedroom is very sunny and the morning call birds are often in full song, so don't expect to sleep in too late. There is no air conditioning, but the ocean breezes usually suffice. Chatham center is about three miles away and the list of things to do is extensive, but you will probably not want to leave the deck or beach. This is a slice of the real Cape Cod. There is also a double bed in the sunroom, which can be used if needed, this offers great breezes and very comfortable sleeping.
