The SpaceQuirky space, great budget accommodation. Can sleep 2 comfortably, and a port-a-cot with baby. Separate access. You will get a unique code to enter the room with. NBN wifi available, minimal kitchenette facilities, bathroom (the toilet is located in with the washing up sink, it's just the way it is and we can't help it due to the small space. We would like to renovate the space and correct this down the track...) washing machine, heat pump, push bikes. SEALED concrete floors and industrial feel. Crisp white sheets, fluffy towels and a comfortable bed. We live upstairs so you may hear a little background noise but we are like ninjas. We also have a dog who occasionally barks at random. And a generally happy 1 year old daughter called Aria. We are also renovating the property and gradually doing the place up so please excuse the messy outside. It will be ace when it's completed but will probably take years. Certain elements of the room itself are rough around the edges but in turn we have added special touches to the room to make it more comfortable including freshly roasted coffee beans you can grind yourself and premium breakfast provisions. Feel free to come up for a chat if we are around or keep to yourselves. Walk or ride into town, the supermarket, cafes and bars. Bus stop 500m away every 30min Guest AccessYou have your own door and separate access. You can reverse into our drive or there are EASIER parks over the road. (which is better for taxis to park in also!!! number 26) Interaction with GuestsCome up for a chat or keep to yourselves. Whatever you want. We aren't always home when you may wish to arrive or check out but we have easy access for guests if that happens. The NeighborhoodWalk or ride into town, the supermarket, or cafes and bars. There is a few MOLE hills so make sure you don't mind getting the old heart rate up. Getting AroundBus stop 500m away every 30mins Other Things to NoteIt is a busy street (traffic noise) Parking is LIMITED...the place is better suited to people without cars but we will do our best to accommodate of needing a place to park. It may be up the road a bit.

The SpaceThis is a three-bedroom house and all of the rooms are very spacious. The house comfortably sleeps six (6) people and there is a lovely new decking area off the kitchen providing extra room for alfresco dining, Perfect for breakfast on those beautiful sunny Tassie mornings. Guest AccessGuest will have access to the entire house and back yard. There is plenty of off both street & off-street parking. The only "off limits" zone is a small free standing shed in the corner of the yard. It's just used as storage. Interaction with GuestsGuests will have complete privacy during their stay with no unexpected annoying interruptions from the host. However if you would like to meet with me just say the word and I would be happy to meet up. The NeighborhoodThis street has lots of beautiful character homes and is so close to the CBD yet free from all the noise of traffic and nightlife. There is a lovely reserve park and recreation area just across the road too. It's a great neighbourhood. Getting AroundGetting around Launceston is so easy. Most people drive everywhere and traffic conditions are usually light. Your accommodation will have plenty of parking (off street) so you can rent a car and see as much as you can. The Cataract Gorge and Basin are both incredible and Joseph Chromy vineyards are really beautiful too. Upper Charles Street has the cafe culture and boutique shopping and if you prefer to walk you will see some beautiful historic homes and buildings. Other Things to NoteAs a vegan and animal lover this house is thoughtfully furnished with all vegan friendly furniture, linen and artwork.

The SpaceOur retreat is relaxing and comfortable with a quirky modern interior . A highlight of your stay will be the time spent in the beautiful garden surrounding the flat. Enter via a colourful cottage garden were you can enjoy a tea of coffee(or maybe a wine) , take a stroll through the veggie garden and even pick some veggies for your dinner or relax with a good book in our Asian inspired Tea house complete with accompanying fish pond with fountain. Guest AccessGuests enter the Secret Garden Retreat via their own entrance from the front of the house, and can come and go as they please . Walk down the garden path until you come to the red door, a key safe is available for when we are not home to greet you. Our guests are invited to spend time in our interpretation of an Asian Garden during their stay . We are very proud of this space as it was completely designed and made by us from reclaimed and natural material and took lots of long hours and lots and lots of muscles !!!! As the only access for our guests are via steep paths with steps, we regret that Secret Garden Retreat is not suitable for wheelchairs or anyone with mobility issues . Interaction with GuestsWe love visitors and are happy to meet and greet you if we are at home when you arrive. As the Secret Garden Retreat has it's entrance and is self contained we understand if you would prefer your own space. If guests need to contact us during their stay , it's best to come and knock on the front door or we are always available on our mobile. We do live in the house above , so guests will hear us and our dogs at times, but it is our home and any noise is only part of daily living. We share our home with our much loved pets, who also love visitors , but we will try our best to make sure they do not interrupt your stay . Of course if you love animals like we do, feel free to spend time with them. We often sit out on our deck on a warm evening and have a wine looking out at the mountains and our guests are more than welcome to join us if they choose and maybe we can fill you in on some of Launceston and surrounds "Hidden Gems" The NeighborhoodSecret Garden Retreat is located in South Launceston , high on a hill with sweeping views from some parts of the garden to the surrounding mountains. It is approx 2-3 minute drive to the centre of Launceston or Kings Meadows or Prospect shopping centres with food, petrol, post office , medical centres etc. There is also an organic grocer and butcher at the end of the street. Getting AroundSecret Garden Retreat is situated in South Launceston which is approx 12 minutes from the Launceston Airport. Guests can use the airport shuttle to get here and are dropped off /picked up at the front gate. Fare is $15 per person each way. Taxis are also available and cost approx $30 each way. We are lucky enough to be only 50 metres from 2 bus stops that can take guests to and from many attractions . ( we have bus timetables in our visitors information book) Other Things to NoteOff street parking is available undercover in a car port outside the entrance to the Secret Garden, and we would prefer if guests let us know if they will be using this at time of booking. Laundry facilities are available .

If you want a fry up for breakfast there is a cafe just down the road. Getting AroundCatch bus number 40 (7mins) or 50 (30mins) from St John Street (near the transit centre) to our house. We are located about 10mins drive from the airport (about $30 by taxi) and 5mins drive from CBD. We are about 20-30 mins walk to both CBD or Kings Meadows shopping centre. Other Things to NoteWhen you ring the doorbell don't be put off by the dogs barking. They get very excited at visitors but they are extremely friendly.

Getting AroundYou are best to have a car for easy access, our public transport isn't so great in Launceston, however, a bus stop is located near the end of our drive.     Located next door to Coronation park in a quiet cul de sac, Coronation Cottage sleeps 8 with queen beds in the first 2 bedrooms and two singles in the third bedroom. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge. There is a full sized kitchen with oven, hotplates, microwave and dishwasher. The property is air conditioned and there are extra heaters in each bedroom and bathroom. Outdoors there is a bbq and outdoor dining setting in the pleasant shady backyard surrounded by mature trees. Undercover parking is available on site Pet Friendly Coronation cottage is "pet friendly" by prior arrangement.

A fresh fish shop is only a 3 minute walk away. Modern kitchen, with everything for you to whip up a meal, or to relax with takeaways, A BBQ area, with gas BBQ and outdoor table, in your own private courtyard. Our uber comfortable 2 bedroom townhouse is only a few minutes walk to the LGH Hospital and puts you on the door steps of our gorgeous historic city, with the Gorge, Aurora stadium and city park all only a short distance away. Nearby green grocer as well as several large supermarkets will make your extended stay a breeze. With a retro feel the town house is as cool as it is comfortable, 2 great size bedrooms, both with great views, huge bathroom with floor heat and large walk in shower, plus the a added advantage of a separate powder room. All linen and some toiletries are supplied at no charge. The kitchen is well equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker, dishwasher, stainless appliances and every thing you will require to cook up a storm. There are limited pantry items included for your use.
