Upon entering, the modern spacious living and dinning areas open onto a private courtyard for indoor / outdoor living. Full size kitchen equipped with Smeg stainless steel appliances perfect for cooking up a storm! Comfortable leather couch, arm chair, flat panel TV, DVD player & expresso coffee machine allow you to stay in and relax at your home away from home. The 2 bedrooms are on the second level, away from the living area. The north-south orientated master bedroom is generously sized. It has a queen bed, an arm chair, a desk & chair. The bright and airy second bedroom is appointed with a double bed and elegant bedside table. A full sized family bathroom with bath tub, completes the upstairs accommodation. (Our guests have commented about the apartment being far more spacious than depicted in our photos!) Guest AccessWe will give the key to you when you arrive at the property. When we have guests, we would normally finish at midnight and/or move to a pub in the city. For the best fresh oysters and lovely fresh produce from our local farmers, South Melbourne Market is about 15 minutes away by foot. There are some great restaurants and cafes around the neighbourhood, including some of our favourite Japanese, Taiwanese, Vietnamese, and Italian restaurants...not to mention really good coffee. There's also a a few mini-supermarkets around the corner. Getting AroundIf you prefer not to walk, there's bicycles for rent a few blocks away, and we are a short tram ride away from the National Gallery of Victoria, Arts Centre, St Kilda Beach, Queen Victoria Market, Bourke Street Mall (10 mins), Flinders Station, and Federation Square. (email hidden) is only 10 minutes away by tram, so is the fantastic Prahran market. Pay a fraction of the price of hotels in the vicinity! TRAMS The fact that St Kilda Road gets the most tram services anywhere in Melbourne makes this a very convenient base for exploring this wonderful city. For your break, you will have the choice to spend your time on the balcony giving an amazing overview on the Albert Park or in the top-roof jaccuzzi overviewing the CBD and the Shrine of remembrance. A must-see at night!!!! Your room will display a queen size bed, with the same view as the balcony, with shelters and hangers available and and an independant bathroom to respect your privacy. Firstly the airport trip is around 25 minutes in a cab which until Melbourne airport link arrives is the best transport option for a group. Secondly there is a tram stop outside the front door for the number 1 tram - takes around 6 minutes into Federation square. A few hundred meters walk you will be able to pick up the 112 which takes you to the Casino and Convetion centre (5 minutes) and then up Collins St. There is one parking spot in the drive directly in front of the Loft - free parking worth its weight in gold in inner city Melbourne these days

The apartment is also walking distance to the National Gallery of Victoria, Albert Park, and South Melbourne Markets. Getting AroundIt's easy to explore the surrounding area by foot. The number 55 tram stops right out front and just around the corner is St Kilda Road and Domain interchange.
