You'll have access to an indoor heated lap pool, tennis court, 2 Myki cards (if required) and small gym in the building and there's one free secure parking spot too! If you're too lazy to drive up, street parking spots are also available outside - they are free outside of business hours.
Sit back and relax in front of a 46-inch flat screen LCD TV with surround sound to satisfy the discerning audiophile. Enjoy your meals at our spacious dining table. Or better yet, step outside and get some semi-fresh city/bay air (glass of wine in hand recommended) on our balcony. Stay connected to the Internet with our free fast Wi-Fi.
We have tea, coffee, milk, toast, and jam to help you start your day exploring our beloved city! Fridge and some kitchen facilities are available (microwave, gas stove, oven, electric kettle, and if you prefer not to have instant coffee like Gretchen does: we also have a French press, Aeropress and a hand mill for freshly ground coffee).
We ensure that your room and bathroom are clean and linens are fresh at your arrival - please let us know on the day of your arrival should you find anything amiss. We do not offer a daily cleaning service, and we make it a point not to enter your room during the duration of your stay so as to give you the utmost privacy to your room, however, we are also happy to clean *at your request* should you require it. Interaction with GuestsIf we're not home, please feel free to contact us on our mobile if you need anything. We want to do everything possible to help make your stay memorable!
We have outgrown clubbing/partying and thus usually have quiet nights in front of the TV especially during weekdays, and turn in after 10pm.
Sometimes we have friends over for some quiet drinks - feel free to join us! In the summer, we would occasionally also have barbecue gatherings on the balcony which you're very welcome to participate in. When we have guests, we would normally finish at midnight and/or move to a pub in the city. The NeighborhoodWalk to the Botanic Gardens, Shrine of Remembrance, Arts Centre, National Gallery of Victoria, Hamer Hall, Federation Square, MCG, Rod Laver Arena (for the tennis or concerts) and Albert Park (for the F1 racing or to meet the black swans at the beautiful lake). For the best fresh oysters and lovely fresh produce from our local farmers, South Melbourne Market is about 15 minutes away by foot.
There are some great restaurants and cafes around the neighbourhood, including some of our favourite Japanese, Taiwanese, Vietnamese, and Italian restaurants...not to mention really good coffee. There's also a a few mini-supermarkets around the corner. Getting AroundIf you prefer not to walk, there's bicycles for rent a few blocks away, and we are a short tram ride away from the National Gallery of Victoria, Arts Centre, St Kilda Beach, Queen Victoria Market, Bourke Street Mall (10 mins), Flinders Station, and Federation Square. (email hidden) is only 10 minutes away by tram, so is the fantastic Prahran market. Pay a fraction of the price of hotels in the vicinity!
The fact that St Kilda Road gets the most tram services anywhere in Melbourne makes this a very convenient base for exploring this wonderful city. Tram routes just out front are:
1 - Melbourne University; South Melbourne Beach: Stop 20
3 - Melbourne University; East Malvern: Stop 19
3a - Melbourne University; East Malvern (website hidden). Kilda: Stop 19

Also, due to this being an apartment building, expect to hear some noises from neighbours as you would expect from any other apartment block, especially in the summer as it's time for beer and barbie on the balcony!
