The Space*Guests who book THIS WEEK will be given vouchers for a Free Tour + Tasting with Greenbar Craft Distillery, LA's first (legal) post- prohibition distillery! (If there are 2 guests in your party, you get 2 vouchers)* We are located in downtown South Pasadena, situated with easy access to both downtown LA and to Pasadena. Accommodations: You will have a bedroom to yourself with a full bed (comfortably fits two). The room has a private air conditioning unit, and a heater (although chances are, you won't need that!) We have off-street covered parking. About us: We're married, recent grad-school grads working as a Play Therapist and a Web Developer... trying to pay down our student debt! We like thrifting, hiking and good wine. Guest AccessShared access to a spacious living room, the kitchen, and the bathroom. You are welcome to set up at the dining room table if you have work to do! Interaction with GuestsWe love to meet people from all over the place through Airbnb and have made many great connections over the years. We have busy schedules, so we are not always able to spend much time with our guests, but if our schedules line up, we enjoy getting to know our guests and sharing conversation. The NeighborhoodWe are in downtown South Pasadena, where you can enjoy exploring tons of fun and interesting independent shops and eateries (a few to hit up: Firefly, Mike and Anne's, La Monarca, Kaldi Coffee, and Mama's Pizzeria). Garfield Park is across the street from us, a beautiful park with tennis courts, a playground, picnic tables, fire pits/barbecues, and tons of kids and frisbee-players (usually). Getting AroundTRAIN (the Metro): We are walking distance (~7 blocks) from the Gold Line South Pasadena "Mission" Station, which gives you quick access to LA or Pasadena. BUS: From our apartment you are a 2 block walk to the bus stop which will take you to Old Town Pasadena in 9 minutes (260 and 762 lines weekdays). CAR: We are right off Highway 110, so you can get downtown quickly. Other Things to NoteBreakfast: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! We provide your choice of breakfast food (as long as you've made the request at least two days in advance of your stay). So please let us know what you like (i.e. fruit, yogurt, muffins, toast, cereal, oatmeal, or even grits if you want to experience a bit of the South on your trip to Pasadena!) We also provide coffee and tea. We love geeking-out about preparing these drinks, we have a traditional drip, Chemex, pour over, french press or Aeropress! We are also pretty obsessed with tea. So if we're around, expect to be brewed a perfect cup.
