The SpaceYou'll love this 2nd floor apartment. It's spacious, light and brilliantly located directly overlooking Southsea Common within easy reach of beach, castle and a thriving town centre. There's always something going on in Southsea in the summer, within very easy reach: you'll hardly need wheels! Guest AccessYou will have your own large, bright bedroom (13x12 foot/4mx3.7m) quietly at the rear with one double queen-size 5ft/1.5m bed. You will also have exclusive use of a bathroom with large tub, sink and WC, and free access to the kitchen and large lounge, shared with the owner when present. A shower is also available in the apartment. Your car will have its own reserved space, right in front of the property. Free wi-fi, too. Interaction with GuestsI live in the apartment and will be always be here for your arrival. That said, I'm often out and about, and you can expect to have the apartment to yourselves for much of the time. The NeighborhoodSouthsea is fantastic for those who love the beach, sea, social life and physical activity, with many restaurants, pubs and live music venues as well as excellent shops and leisure amenities (e.g. tennis courts, volleyball, bicycle hire, mini-golf, swimming pools). The nearest pub - with live music at weekends - is 30 metres away! The apartment is in a very popular, smart, friendly and sought-after neighbourhood - very close to the big, green, open space of the Common and the beach. We're also quite close to the Historic Royal Navy dockyard, the Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Quays shopping mall, and the cross-Channel ferry port of Portsmouth - all within 2-3 miles. The apartment lies right next to the annual Victorious music Festival in August, and 200 metres from the start/finish of the annual (late October) Great South Run. Getting AroundYou are 300m from the nearest bus stop, with rapid and frequent connection to the railway stations, bus station and Portsmouth city centre. Southsea shops (including Waitrose, John Lewis, Debenhams, Laura Ashley) are just a 7-10 min walk away. Other Things to NoteThe apartment does not have an elevator. There are about 45 steps up from ground level to the second floor (US - third floor). A (generous) Continental breakfast is available at £3.50 per person if you would wish. German and Dutch guests are very welcome - we can speak your languages. French and Spanish are also understood (but not very well spoken, I'm afraid).

The SpaceOur beautiful Victorian villa is full of original features, such as very high ceilings, stained glass windows and a turret! It is light, bright and spacious, and we love it. We hope that you will too. Guest AccessI have up to 3 bedrooms available for between 1-6 guests. One super king room, two twins and 1 a bathroom with shower for the guests sole use. I only accept one booking at a time, so whether you have 1 bedroom or all 3, you will have sole use of the top floor of the house. Albert Road, with it's vibrant mix of restaurants, bars, cafes and The Kings Theatre are only 100 metres from our front door. Easy walking distance to all of Southsea and Portsmouth's major attractions! Getting AroundFratton Station is only a 15 minute walk away, and being in such a central location means that there is a well connected bus system.

The SpaceIf you are looking for cheap family accommodation in Portsmouth area, look no further!! With the price of just £50 per nite (maximum 6persons), you have the whole house on your own (not sharing with the others) This is a student property normally and is now available to rent out during whole month of August (end of July is available too, please contact for more info) This is a double storey terrace house and is located at Esslemont Road in a quiet neighbourhood. There are 3bedrooms each with a double bed, which can accommodate up to 6persons. *please note that this is not a b&b, and hence no towels will be provided, but clean bedding will be provided* **the house is not decorated, as mentioned it is normally a student house, all you can expect is a clean, comfortable space for your stay in Portsmouth =) ** Nearest supermarket is Co-op which is just around the corner (less than 2mins walk). The SpaceThe house has been tastefully decorated with a good mix of antique, designer and second hand furniture and decorations. There are lots of great period features throughout the property including high ceilings, original picture rails, coving, ceiling roses, stained glass, fireplaces and wooden floors. The bedroom is comfortably equipped with a double bed, chest of drawers and a vintage leather armchair. The room is at the back of the house so street noise is not an issue and a large window lets in plenty of light. It is located upstairs next to the bathroom which has a deep double-ended bath and overhead shower. There is a second toilet downstairs. There are two other bedrooms on this floor which are also available to rent. Please check out my other listings for more details. Downstairs there is an entrance hall off of which is the living room which boasts a large fireplace, high ceilings (with original coving and ceiling rose), wooden floors, stained glass windows comfortable seating and a large flatscreen HD television, DVD player and TiVo box with Virgin cable subscription and Netflix. There are a LOT of books in the house which you're welcome to read during your stay and a good selection of board games. At the end of the hall is everybody's favourite room in the house - the kitchen! It's a large open plan kitchen with exposed brick walls and lots of great period features. It's fully equipped with gas hobs, electric oven, Dualit toaster, Bosch kettle, Smeg fridge, etc. The dining table also converts into a pool table! The living room opens out into the conservatory which is a great reading area with leather club sofa and view out to the garden. Hidden under the countertop in the conservatory is a washing machine, dish washer, microwave and a second freezer. The garden is small but functional with a comfortable three seat sofa and small firepit/BBQ on the raised decking area. There is space down the side of the house at the back to safely store your bicycle if you have one. The house is located on Frensham Road in Southsea which is a beautiful tree-lined street of gorgeous Victorian terraced houses. It is blocked off at one end meaning it's not used as a thoroughfare and therefore there is hardly any traffic. It's conveniently located just 10 minutes from the many shops, bars and restaurants on Albert Road, a 15-20 minute walk to the seafront and has a Co-op, greengrocers, Spar, Lidl, Tesco Express all within 5 minutes walk. Fratton train station is only a 10 minute walk from the house and from there you can get direct trains to London in just 90 minutes. There is no permit parking on Frensham and there are always parking spots on the road outside the house. **THINGS TO NOTE** CLEANING: To try and keep costs down for my guests I do not make the cleaning charge mandatory like some other hosts, instead it is an optional extra. I try to keep the house cleaned to a standard I would hope that most people would be more than happy with but it is a home rather than a holiday rental and if I am very busy prior to your arrival or if there are other guests staying the standard may have slipped slightly. If you would like the property to be cleaned to a higher standard then please give me notice and I can arrange for a professional cleaner and this will incur an additional £20 cleaning charge. IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO PAY THE EXTRA CLEANING CHARGE PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN IT COMES TIME TO GRADE THE CLEANLINESS IN THE REVIEW. OTHER GUESTS: Please note that the other two bedrooms are also available to rent so there may be other guests staying at the same time as you. If this is going to be an issue for you please advise before booking. I hope that's covered most things but if you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch. Guest AccessGuests will have exclusive use of their bedroom. The rest of the house (with the exception of other bedrooms of course) is a shared space which the guests are welcome to use as they wish. We only ask that they respect the fact that it is indeed a 'shared house' (either with ourselves or other guests) and therefore to keep the noise down, share the space and keep the house tidy. Interaction with GuestsThis varies depending on my schedule as I am often out and about or recently have been working away most weeks. Sometimes if I am working away then guests may have the entire house to themselves or they may be sharing with other guests without a 'host'. If guests wish to keep to themselves this does not bother us in the slightest, at the same time, if you wish to watch television with us or chat over a cup of coffee then we are equally happy to do so if we are available. The NeighborhoodFrensham Road is a beautiful tree-lined street in a charming area of Southsea. Close to all the local amenities. Please look at my guidebook for places to visit during your stay. Getting AroundThere are lots of good bus connections nearby or Fratton train station is just a 5-10 minute walk from the house. From here you can get trains into Portsmouth City Centre (Portsmouth & Southsea Station) or the Historic Dockyards (Portsmouth Harbour Station). Regular trains also leave from here going to Southampton, nearby towns and villages or London (which is just 90 minutes by direct train to Waterloo). Taxis are relatively inexpensive in Portsmouth and it is normally about £3.50 to travel from the house to most of the bars and restaurants in Central Portsmouth and Southsea. Other Things to NoteAs mentioned above, there is sometimes a cat living in the house so please check beforehand if she might be there if you have bad allergies or phobias. This is one of three rooms in the house which are rented out. Sometimes you will be the only guests, on other occasions it might be that all three rooms are rented and therefore you are sharing the house with other guests. If you want to know in advance then just ask!

The SpaceThe room has a huge built-in wardrobe, a single solid wood bed and a working desk with light .Ideally for short stay, just a room to crush out or travelling a few days. The kitchen is huge, washing machine, microwave, fridge, cooker, oven, toaster are all ready to be used. Shower room is on the same floor where the room is with Nice twin-head shower. Shampoo & shower gel are also available on request. We also have a garden at the back , a coffee in the morning would be nice. I am living in this property too so i am more than happy to help if you need anything. Neighbors are family bases. Very nice, friendly and chatty. Fratton Train Station is only 3 Mins walk. Which either you are going to places in Portsmouth or London, Southampton, etc it is easy to access all south area. Other Things to NoteNo smoking in the entired house although we have a garden it will be the best place for smokers :) I do have a ginger cat around but she's super shy and she will only be in my room or occasionally in the garden noisey around. PARKING: Our road is a ' 2 hours free parking zone ' with no return though you can get a scratch card guest permit from me if needed, and they are @ £1 each for 12 hours parking. Please inform me in advance if you needed some so i can get them ready for you :)

This is a stunning house located in the prestigious Cransewater area close to Southsea shops and market, three minutes walk to the expansive seafront, canoe lake and Southsea common. Absolutely beautiful location know for its peace and quiet. The house is a large three story property with plenty of free parking and a drive. The house comprises of six bedrooms two bathrooms and one downstairs toilet. All mod cons and powerful internet including virgin TV package for each room, bottled water and fresh towels. There are three bedrooms two are double and one is triple. The house is very light with lots of large windows and natural light. The ground floor has glorious wooden parquet flooring and oak wooden paneling throughout. The house is very clean and tidy, benefiting from a daily clean. Full English or Continental breakfast available. Beautiful garden where we sit and have breakfast in the summer months. The NeighborhoodIt very very quiet, no houses are looking onto us so very private, loads of free parking and very close to beach and local amenities, pubs and restaurants. It is without a doubt the best area in southsea and the most expensive properties right next to canoe lake, which is beautiful. Getting AroundEasy to walk to the local bars and restaurants Southsea Shopping centre and Albert Road really close. 2 minutes walk to a stunning 5 mile promenade which goes all the way along the Seafront and next to the common - fantastic. Easy to ride a bike as Portsmouth is completely flat and really easy to to get around. We have a bike for people to hire if they need one. Other Things to NoteWe do offer an evening meal if people fancy sitting with us and joining in we charge £10 for a two course meal. The internet password is numbersixty4

The living room kitchen, dining area is open plan, and is a lovely space with genuine character. It was our own house for 8 years, and was well loved. Guest AccessGuests will have access to all rooms. There is also a small home office available for use. Interaction with GuestsThe owners live around the corner and are at hand if required, but otherwise guests to their own devices. We always aim to please as our positive reviews confirm. The NeighborhoodSouthsea is a really nice part of the world (in our humble opinion) The town is very compact so you can get most places quickly on foot, and just about everything you need is close to hand, including the beach, parks, independent shops, coffee shops, bakeries, pubs, restaurants, bars and live music venues, the King's theartre, a smart shopping precinct with a Waitrose , John Lewis, Debenhams, Costa, Boots... etc. It's lively enough for most, but laid back and chilled too. Gunwharf is also nearby, with a very decent range of lively restaurants (mostly chains) and a discount outlet stores. Getting AroundPublic transport around town isn't so great, but taxis are plentiful, and cheap as chips! The city is well connected; Portsmouth and Southsea railway station is 90mins from London Waterloo with frequent services. There is also convenient local ferry transport to the Isle of Wight, Gosport and France Other Things to NoteFor elderly guests and guests with young children, we like them to be aware that the staircase is quite steep, and there is no downstairs loo. there are also a few sharp corners at worktop height.     The Space...this quaint, character property has an adorably cosy bedroom with a wonderfully comfy double bed to rest your weary head. Naturally there will be fresh linen and a good mattress topper. There are also towels, a hairdryer (if required) and fast internet connection. You will have a lovely place to stay in an attractive and clean home. Bathroom and toilet are shared but I keep a tidy place. As to the house generally there is original charm with restored floorboards downstairs, and in clement weather, the patio area outside can be used. Your breakfast Breakfast is normally cereals, porridge, toast, jams, yoghurt, fruit, coffee or tea. Depending upon the time of your stay I may be able to provide you with other home-made cuisine at an additional fee (or for lengthier stays allow you to cook). Bags or other personal belongings may be left if convenient and at a surcharge from midday the day prior to check-in or until 18.00 the day following check-out. Your host I have travelled widely and lived in Central and South America, as well as India and the Middle East. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and airbnb is a wonderful platform for that. Please see positive reviews from numerous guests hosted. Your location There is free off-road parking on my street and adjacent ones but like much of Southsea this is on a first-come, first-served basis. Good availability during the day but much less from 5pm. Fratton Station, 1.7 miles away, is an inexpensive taxi ride. Portsmouth & Southsea train station is 2.6 miles distance. Your local transport The westbound number 1 bus stops at Eastney Health Centre (3 minute walk north west) arriving at Gunwharf Quays in approximately 20 minutes. The number 2 bus can also be caught at the same stop and goes to Portsmouth city centre and then Gunwharf Quays. This is a clean, safe and attractive area. Your local facilities and amenities The nearby St. George’s Road takes you right up to the Esplanade and seafront. Coffee lovers are within a five minute walk of the excellent Coffee Cup Eastney (0.3 miles) on the sea front. Staying here you are also close to the Tenth Hole Tearooms on Eastern Parade (0.4 miles, 9 minute walk). You are not far from Canoe Lake (0.9 miles, 17 minute walk) and the Royal Marines Museum (0.6 miles, 13 minute walk). The popular Albert Road, with its unusual shops, bars and restaurants is also accessible on foot (0.7 miles, 13 minute walk). Palmerston Road or Marmion Road shopping areas can be reached by foot within 30 minutes (1.5 miles). Gunwharf Quays is 2.5 miles distance, as is The Hard for ferry access to Gosport, Isle of Wight, France and Guernsey but everything is within close reach in Pompey given the cheap taxi fares and excellent public transport. For local culture you have the D-Day Museum on the seafront as well as the Portsmouth City Museum (Museum Road) and the Maritime Museum (for HMS Victory, the Mary Rose and the Warrior) which is close by the Hard. Theatres include the Kings (Albert Road) and the historic Theatre Royal in the city centre. Port Solent (6 miles) is worth a visit with its first-class marina, bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. Wonderful walks along the seafront may include Southsea Castle and the Hoverport to the Isle of Wight. Surrounding Portsmouth are many beautiful spots such as Fishbourne Roman Palace, the village of Bosham, Chichester and Petersfield. Your commitment This is a well-regarded, clean and cosy bed and breakfast. The fee is reasonable given the effort/cost expended to clean (minimum two hours, normally more); to wash and change the bed sheets; to iron the bedding.     The SpaceSpacious master bedroom available in a stylish Victorian house on a beautiful tree-lined street. The house has been tastefully decorated with a good mix of antique, designer and second hand furniture and decorations and had a 12 page feature in the March issue of 'Ideal Home' Magazine. There are lots of great period features throughout the property including high ceilings, original picture rails, coving, ceiling roses, stained glass, fireplaces and wooden floors. The bedroom is furnished with a firm but very comfortable four-poster bed, dressing table and a TV with DVD player. Although the television is not connected by aerial (and therefore unable to get live TV) it has a DVD player and there is usually an Apple TV or Chromecast in the house which you can use to stream videos to. This bedroom is normally occupied (by myself) so the wardrobes and chests of drawers are usually full however if you advise in advance I can set up a clothes rail for you and for longer stays I can clear out a chest of drawers. The bedroom is located upstairs where there are two other bedrooms and the bathroom which has a deep double-ended bath and overhead shower. There is a second toilet downstairs. Downstairs there is an entrance hall off of which is the living room which boasts a large fireplace, high ceilings (with original coving and ceiling rose), wooden floors, stained glass windows comfortable seating and a large flatscreen HD television, DVD player and TiVo box with Virgin cable subscription and Netflix. There are a LOT of books in the house which you're welcome to read during your stay and a good selection of DVDs and board games. At the end of the hall is everybody's favourite room in the house - the kitchen! It's a large open plan kitchen with exposed brick walls and lots of great period features. It's fully equipped with gas hobs, electric oven, Dualit toaster, Bosch kettle, Smeg fridge, etc. The dining table also converts into a pool table! The kitchen opens out into the conservatory which is a great reading area with leather club sofa and view out to the garden. Hidden under the countertop in the conservatory is a washing machine, dish washer, microwave and a second freezer. Tea and coffee is available for you to help yourself to throughout your stay and in the morning you can help yourself to the various cereals, toast and spreads available. If you have any special needs or requests please advise in advance. Cooked breakfast is usually available by prior arrangement for an additional cost. The garden is small but functional with a comfortable three seat sofa and small firepit/BBQ on the raised decking area. There is space down the side of the house at the back to safely store your bicycle if you have one. The house is located on Frensham Road in Southsea which is a beautiful tree-lined street of gorgeous Victorian terraced houses. It is blocked off at one end meaning it's not used as a thoroughfare and therefore there is hardly any traffic. It's conveniently located just 10 minutes from the many shops, bars and restaurants on Albert Road, a 15-20 minute walk to the seafront and has a Co-op, greengrocers, Spar, Lidl, Tesco Express all within 5 minutes walk. Fratton train station is only a 5-10 minute walk from the house and from there you can get direct trains to London in just 90 minutes. There is no permit parking on Frensham and there are always parking spots on the road outside the house. **THINGS TO NOTE** CAT: Living in the house is Tooticky, a small black cat who likes to keep to herself (but those of you with allergies please be aware). CLEANING: To try and keep costs down for my guests I do not make the cleaning charge mandatory like some other hosts, instead it is an optional extra. I try to keep the house cleaned to a standard I would hope that most people would be more than happy with but it is a home rather than a holiday rental and if I am very busy prior to your arrival or if there are other guests staying the standard may have slipped slightly. If you would like the property to be cleaned to a higher standard then please give me notice and I can arrange for a professional cleaner and this will incur an additional £20 cleaning charge. The NeighborhoodFrensham Road is a beautiful tree-lined street in a charming area of Southsea. Close to all the local amenities. It is only a short walk from Fratton train station where there are frequent direct trains to London and all over the country. Within a few minutes walk of the house there are half a dozen shops then Albert Road is about ten minutes on foot where there is a huge selection of restaurants, bars, shops and cafes. The house is 15 minutes on foot from the beach and Canoe Lake. For Gunwharf Quays, the Historic Dockyards, the Hard (coach station) and the ferry terminal it is easier to get a taxi (only about £3) or to drive as it's about a half hour walk. I am happy to come and collect you from the train or coach station if I can however this is not always possible. Please look at my guidebook or ask me for suggestions of places to visit during your stay. As with all new places, it is always better once you know the good spots to visit so I love to share my favourite bars, restaurants, shops and areas with guests. Southsea is the most lovely part of Portsmouth and is where most of the attractions are located. My street is a very popular one due to it's quietness (it is blocked to cars at one end which means there is very little traffic) and excellent location close to the train station and Albert Road. Getting AroundThere are lots of good bus connections nearby or Fratton train station is just a 5-10 minute walk from the house. From here you can get trains into Portsmouth City Centre (Portsmouth & Southsea Station) or the Historic Dockyards (Portsmouth Harbour Station). Regular trains also leave from here going to Southampton, nearby towns and villages or London (which is just 90 minutes by direct train to Waterloo). Taxis are relatively inexpensive in Portsmouth and it is normally about £3.50 to travel from the house to most of the bars and restaurants in Central Portsmouth and Southsea. Other Things to NoteAs mentioned above, there is a cat living in the house so this is not suitable for those with bad allergies or phobias. This is one of three rooms in the house which are rented out. Sometimes you will be the only guests, on other occasions it might be that all three rooms are rented and therefore you are sharing the house with other guests. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has large bay window looking out over the tree-lined street and a modern four-poster bed. The second bedroom is a bright and sunny room at the back of the house overlooking the garden. It has a very comfortable double bed and desk/dresser. The third bedroom has a sofa bed which can be left as a sofa to use the room as a second 'den' with TV and DVD player or the bed can be made up as a small double. Also upstairs is the main bathroom which has a deep double-ended bath and overhead shower. Albert Road, where there are a large number of shops, cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants, is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk or there are a number of pubs located closer. Getting AroundFratton train station is about a 5-10 minute walk from the house and this has frequent trains to the two other train stations in Portsmouth or to London and other places outside of Portsmouth. Taxis are relatively inexpensive. The average cost from the train station to the house or from the house into the city centre is £3-5. There are a number of buses or most of the places to visit are within a 30 minute walk from the house. Good size bathroom with WC. There is a washing machine, iron and ironing board, hair dryer for your use. Kitchen is equipped with a gas oven/hob, a microwave oven, a kettle, a cafetiere, a small fridge/freezer and all kitchen utensils. After having some complaints about the bed being uncomfortable to sleep on, I have changed the mattress (in April 2016). Keep in mind, that there is no central heating in the whole building, but the flat is really sunny and there are two efficient electric heaters for your use. I am under 70 miles away from London and 80 to Oxford. There is so much going on in and around Portsmouth. We have Eastney Swimming pool, Beach volleyball in the summer, skate park for the kids etc I would highly recommend a visit to the Historic dockyard, where you will find Nelsons flagship The Victory and the newly displayed Mary Rose. Getting AroundThe number 15 bus runs in my road and there are many buses at the top of the road. Fratton train station is a short walk away Other Things to NoteI have two friendly cats :) Burger and Fluffy, if you have a cat allergy this will probably not be the right house for you.

It is registered with the Local Authority and up to standard for electric and fire regulations. I will be moving round cleaning up and painting rooms.

    The SpaceHuge one bedroom Southsea fully self contained apartment set within a homely Edwardian property just minutes from the beach! The flat is on the 1st floor. At the quieter side of Southsea the flat is perfectly located for all maritime, seaside and local attractions. Two minutes walk from the beach and close to many unique cafes, restaurants, and shops in the popular Albert Road area. There are lots of independent restaurants in Albert Road catering for all tastes. The Kings Theatre is also on Albert Road. For Gunwharf Quays we are a short bus trip away, or we have visitors car passes available with prior arrangement. Our house is walking distance to Southsea Common, many events take place here including the weekly live free music at the band stand during the summer months. The common is protected parkland, however there are designated BBQ areas. The flat faces South East and the living room is filled with light from the early morning sun. The living area has a dining table and seating for 6 people, and 2 huge sofas for relaxing. There is a concealed double wall bed, that can be left out or easily put away during the day. The bedroom has a king bed and also a single bed. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. The kitchen is fully equipped, (no dishwasher or washing machine). If you stay longer than a week we will clean your flat and change the bed linen and towels. We are a 10 minutes walk away from Sainsburys Local and Tesco Express. There is a large Asda supermarket that is a 5 minute drive away. As we live in the grounds of the property we be here to meet you on arrival and show you in to the apartment. As we live on site we can usually be very flexible on arrival times. The apartment is perfect for a relaxing stay on the coast. It is really comfortable and relaxing and has everything you'll need for your stay. You don't really need a car in Southsea, as most things are within walking distance, (or short taxi or bus ride), but if you do bring your car, then we have plenty of on site parking. Buses are frequent and the closest train station is Portsmouth Harbour (about a 4 minute taxi ride). Guest AccessThere are no shared or communal areas, guests have complete privacy in their own flats. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the grounds of the property, however we don't usually see our guests. We are on site in case of any problems this is reassuring for our guests! Getting AroundThe bus stop is 150 yards away, this takes you direct to Gunwharf Quays for the Naval Base and visitor attractions.

      A contemporary apartment within a Victorian building hosting 2 large double bedrooms and a bright and spacious modern lounge/diner with balcony. Located close to Southsea Beach and Canoe Lake you'll have easy access to all that Southsea and Portsmouth has to offer. The apartment has been recently redecorated providing a bright and airy atmosphere within which you can chill out and relax. Both bedrooms have a double bed with plenty of storage, a single z bed, the main bedroom also has a TV - a travel cot is available upon request. The bathroom is clean and bright and contains a bath/shower, toilet and wash basin. The Kitchen is equipped with gas hob and electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, iron and ironing board and leads easily into a large lounge/dining area. The lounge/diner itself has a dining table seating four, a sofa plus chaise lounge chair from where you can lay back and watch the cable TV or a DVD. Opening the two French doors takes you out onto a small balcony from which you can see the sea. A private off street parking area is available, plus secure storage for bicycles if required. A great base from which to explore both the local attractions and those a little further afield. A short walk will get you to the Pyramids Fun Pool, D-Day Museum, Canoe Lake and Southsea beach (200m away). Only a 5 minute walk away are bus routes to all parts of Portsmouth including Historic Dockyard and Gun Wharf. Also close by is the Hovercraft linking you to the Isle of Wight.

          The apartment consists of a fully fitted modern kitchen with dining table and seating for 6 people, bathroom with bath and separate shower, lounge which has gorgeous Victorian windows with views across the common and beyond, two comfy sofas to relax on with a book, or the TV which has SKY TV as well as wifi. There are two double bedrooms with the master bedroom having the double French doors leading to the beautiful wrought iron Victorian balcony which has great views across the Solent and Southsea common. The balcony is west facing so is perfect for watching the sunset and relaxing with a nice drink. The apartment is spacious, light and airy throughout with lots of original features. Parking: If you have a car please let us know and we will provide you with parking permits for the duration of your stay. At no extra cost. Ideally located for the local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and boutique shopping and Gunwharf Quays is a short 10 minute walk away. Central Southsea is totally unique compared to the rows and rows of terrace houses that fill the rest of Portsea Island up! Once you get into Southsea you immediately see an feel the change in the environment an surroundings, it's gorgeous. It has many great boutiques an the vast array of vintage stores along a few main streets which you must check out. Firstly is Albert Road it's filled with gorgeous cafes, vintage boutiques, funky bars an restaurants which is anything from a good curry to sushi to Thai cuisine I think all taste can be catered for. You also have Marmion an Palmerston road which for shopping again you won't be disappointed you have your general department stores such as John Lewis an Debenhams but also a great range of locally owned boutique shops an has a fantastic selection of bars an restaurants. Gunwharf quays is only a 10 minute walk away which has a great range of outlet stores along with a bowling alley, cinema and many chain restaurants. This is also where you can visit The Spinnaker Tower which gives you unrivalled views of the whole of Southsea, Portsmouth, the Solent an the Isle of Wight. The historic dockyard is well worth s visit you can see The Victory, The Mary Rose new museum is superb. The apartment is ideally situated opposite The Isle of White Hovercraft! It's the last one running in the whole of Europe and it only takes 10 minutes over to the gorgeous Isle of Wight the beaches are sandy unlike Southsea seafront if you have time try to allow time to get over to the island for a visit!! Every weekend the council puts on various events including every Sunday there is live music on at the bandstand which is good and it's free. It's great to take a blanket an a picnic sit an watch the music an watch the many passing ferries, yachts in the background. We have various leaflets that will show you the different places you can visit as well as guides telling you what events are on during your stay.
