A new England style luxury timber lodge on the edge of a lake. You can use this lodge as either a romantic retreat, a weekend filled with friends, or for an activity weekend with the family. Cirencester and Cheltenham are close-by, offering designer shopping, cinema, restaurants, theatre and the sophistication of the contemporary world. If you'd prefer to be off the beaten track, there are hundreds of secluded walks around the lakes and countryside, dappled with country pubs with roaring fires, offering traditional Sunday lunches and ales. Other local activities include clay pigeon shooting, horse riding, quad-biking and cylcling to name but a few. There is a luxury on-site spa if you wish to relax and replenish the soul, offering a state of the art gym, a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam and flotations rooms and signature treatments such as chocolate delight, hot stone body massage, mani/pedicures and facials.
The lodge itself has quality furnishings throughout, which include LCD TV and DVD player, Plasma in master b/room. Comprising entrance hall, downstairs shower room, large sitting/dining room, fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons, 2 bedrooms upstairs (there are 3, but the third is a nursery and is locked) and two sofas downstairs, large decking with BBQ & dining furniture over looking the lake. The master bedroom looks directly over the lake and if you can lock the kids up, the view is unsurpassable as the sun sets in the evening and the moon rises over the water.
The Cotswold's are one of the most picturesque and delightful areas of Britain only 75 minutes drive from London and within easy reach of major transport routes. Cotswold towns and villages such as Burford, Bibury and Bourton-on-the-water are the epitome of the quintessential English rural scene. There are many excellent pubs and restaurants in the area. Close by is Cirencester, a delightful town with one of the oldest street markets in the country. Cheltenham, another elegant spa town, lies just a few miles to the west and is famous for its regency architecture. With more than 130 lakes and covering 40 square miles, the cotswold lakes offer the widest possible choice of recreational activities. Whether it is water sports, angling, walking, cycling â€“ no matter what your particular interest you are sure to find it here. Keynes Country Park is also close by which is a great place for sunbathing and swimming.
