The SpaceA cozy retreat on the 3rd floor of a restored late Victorian-period house in the "Cozy Corner" neighborhood of Forest Park. The house is furnished with period antiques as well as interesting items from the travels of its owners. Guest AccessThe guest suite is on the 3rd floor of a walk-up, converted attic (so there are stairs involved!). There is a bedroom and bath as well as a dining area and a small kitchenette (dorm-sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker). Interaction with GuestsTim and Brian have lived in Springfield for just 6 years--but enjoy exploring Western Mass and will share any hidden gems worth seeing, if you ask. Also, if you happen to find something special during your trip here, be sure to let us know. We have a very friendly housecat who will be pleased to make your acquaintance, if you like. The NeighborhoodSpringfield is almost equidistant between NYC and Boston and is a transportation hub for the Western New England region and the "Knowledge Corridor"--the 2nd largest concentration of higher learning in the U.S. Springfield is also known as the "City of Homes" and features grand Victorian neighborhoods with beautiful houses. Also Forest Park, one of the largest urban parks in the U.S., is within a block of the house--a beautiful place to enjoy each of the four seasons that the region has to offer. Getting AroundThere is a PVTA bus line at the end of the block--but it is generally easier to use a car or taxi to get around. There are nice dining options at the nearby "X" or a bit further out in Longmeadow or East Longmeadow. Other Things to Note-Check-in time is after 4 pm -Check-out is before 11 am -There is no "breakfast" included in the price--but the kitchenette has coffee/tea and some small items. Please contact me if you have any questions or are new to the area and need additional information. Safe travels!

Vibrant, diverse neighborhood in Downtown Springfield. Next to Springfield Museums complex. Economically and racially diverse neighborhood. I've had some guests (usually people who don't live in cities) say they thought the area around here was sketchy. This is a diverse, urban neighborhood. There are lots of poor people and people of color who live here. It is also a very safe and friendly neighborhood. I have lived here for 13 years and I love it.
