Each cottage has a private bathroom, a full kitchen, and a porch or deck with a barbecue grill. Five of the cottages feature two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Guests can sleep in either a queen- or king-sized four-poster bed, and use the heating, air conditioning, and ceiling fans. There is also cable TV and wireless internet access. Five of the cottages have working fireplaces and all of them have a double hot tub. The Treehouse, the Cook's Cottage, and the Gazebo are all one-bedroom cabins with working fireplaces.Both the Treehouse and the Gazebo have king-sized beds, whereas the Cook's Cottage features a queen bed, a big back deck overlooking the pond, and a porch with a swing. The Gazebo also has a deck overlooking the pond, and it is known for its antique stained-glass church windows that measure 9 feet long. There is an entire back wall of glass at the Treehouse, where a three-level deck dips into a steep ravine. The Dovecote, the Pond House, the Pool Pavilion, Chase's Cottage, and the Old Kitchen all have two bedrooms with a king-sized bed and a double bed, complete with two full bathrooms. The Dovecote is a three-story windmill with a deck overlooking a steep ravine. The Pond House is distinct for its gingerbread-trimmed porch with a hammock overlooking the pond, as well as a large back deck with meadow views. The Pool Pavilion is next to the swimming pool, where a shaded gazebo is perfect for viewing the wooden ravine. Sitting right along the pond, Chase’s Cottage has a porch swing with a garden view and features a queen-sized bed instead of the double, along with the king-sized bed in the other bedroom.Built in 1796, the Old Kitchen is made of brick and features skylights, exposed beams, and an old 115-foot-deep well.  There is a $10 charge for extra guests in any of the cottages. Rates include private continental breakfasts in each accommodation.

The SpaceNice quiet views of nature. Birds galore!! The house is built from reclaimed wood, has a nice inviting open, lodge, casual concept. There are 5 acres, a (URL HIDDEN) old church next door..great ambience. Guest AccessYour room has a comfy double bed. Also a set of bunk beds. Private bath. You may have access to the kitchen for coffee or your mornings. Interaction with GuestsI am comfortable with guests that want peace and quiet and privacy or I am ok with those that want to visit and chat. Either way is fine. The NeighborhoodI am totally in love with our location...very rural, but close enough to Baton Rouge to enjoy the city conveniences. We are an hour and a half from New Orleans, and also an hour or so from Lafayette. Getting AroundWe are rural, so there is no public transportation. It's a good idea to have your own wheels.. Other Things to NoteOur joy is being involved with touring cyclists. I have been hosting them for 15 years, so there is a good chance that during your visit , a traveling cyclist will be here...they have their own space. They are truly inspiring and interesting and always a delight.

The SpaceWe have 10 guest rooms, our rooms have either one king bed, one queen bed or two double beds, we also have one king bed that has an oversize jacuzzi tub. We serve breakfast in the dining room (this is included with your room rental as well as our tax of 12%). The Inn is well known for its large buffet breakfast of rolled crepe eggs, famous grits, creole fried potatoes, quiche, fried crispy bacon, various sausages, scrambled eggs, banana foster, cereals, bread items, fresh fruit, blintzes, apple crepes, orange juice, milk, hot coffee and teas, hot chocolate and more. Guest AccessOur guests have use of the New Orleans style brick courtyard, swimming pool, large porches and can enjoy the front parlor between the hours of 6:30am until 10:00pm. They are welcome to enjoy the front porch looking out under the 100 year plus live oaks draped in moss. There is also a front yard garden patio with over 400 bromeliads scattered about the property. Enjoy our new guest bikes, free of charge, to pedal thru St. Francisville's historic district of historic churches, homes and courthouse, restaurants and shopping and views of the Mississippi River. Many guest enjoy sipping on the porches a cocktail from our large bar, wine from the wine parlor, selection of over 200 different wines, or a large selection of beers. Birders enjoy viewing over 50 different birds from our front porch and adjacent town park. Many photos can be seen on our main website at (URL HIDDEN) under photos. Many guest enjoy watching movies on the large projection screen in the main house or sporting events on the large screen on the front porch. All Saints and LSU games are shown. Nearby outdoor activities, include hiking at Mary Ann Brown preserve, Cat Island National Wildlife Refuge - home of the second largest tree in North America and largest bald-cypress tree or Clark Creek WMA as locals refer to it as Tunica Falls - numerous small water falls. Others enjoy the many birding areas which are on the flyway from Central & South American. Golf at the nearby Arnold Palmer designed golf course at The Bluffs is a favorite for golf players. Biking is a highlight on our small hilly country roads where several bike races are held annually. Boating canoes and kayaks are spectacular when Cat Island NWR floods annually from the rise of the Miss. River. Photography is a mainstay of the numerous Plantation homes, abundant wildlife, flowers in our spectacular historic gardens and cemetries and landscapes of rolling pasture land and unique flora of the Tunica Hills. Interaction with GuestsWe live at The Inn. Owner Patrick, a retired petroleum engineer, enjoys building wooden boats, cigar box guitars and caring for his 400 plus, ever-growing Bromeliads and various other plants. Owner & Innkeeper Laurie Walsh enjoys painting in her spare time. She is also the town's Main Street Manager and parish Tourism Director as well as the local movie industry's liaison. With Laurie's past family background in the tourism industry and present tourism jobs, she is the go-to person for local attractions, event, festivals and other activities. The NeighborhoodWe are located right downtown in the Historic District. Guests can walk to a couple of restaurants, shops, historic churches and cemeteries. We have walking tour maps of the Historic District available. Stroll and relax in the adjacent Parker Park. Getting AroundWalking and biking downtown historic district but have to drive short distances to other attractions.     The SpaceCabin In the Woods is an antique cypress shotgun home and over 100+ years old. It has been carefully renovated with tears of love & craftsmanship by the artist/owner. Interior decor features original artwork by the owner. Great back porch view with swing to relax and enjoy the solitude of the outdoors. A wood stove accents the main living area and is fully functional (wood provided by owner). Guest AccessGuests have full access to the Cabin In the Woods and to the surrounding property. The yard is open. Small children and pets will need to be supervised to insure their safety. Interaction with GuestsMy house in on the property and far enough away to allow guests privacy to enjoy the seclusion and beauty of the landscape. The NeighborhoodI recommend the Birdman Coffeehouse for breakfast and occasional music nights. Magnolia Cafe, The Frances, and ALAQABA Cafe for local lunch and dinner. Also there are some nice places in New Roads to eat across the new bridge. Other Things to Note1 bedroom and a small sleep loft with a double size air mattress. A 20.00 per night addition charge in added for extra guest with it's use.

Cabin is 10 minutes from historic downtown St Francisville and has creek access on the property. The cabin is centrally located within easy access to plantation homes, Cat Island Nature Preserve, Tunica Falls & the Audubon Pilgrimage March18-20.

There's a couple of flocks of geese that pass over most everyday. Our chickens which provide all of our farm fresh eggs. Our bengal cat named Cujo and German Shepherd named Daisy. Nearest neighbors are a nice distance away. Getting AroundI'd recommend having transportation to navigate these rural areas. Other Things to NoteThe property is situated directly in-between St. Francisville and Jackson, Louisiana. These towns are absolutely adorable and we recommend visiting both of them.
