The SpaceWe have 10 guest rooms, our rooms have either one king bed, one queen bed or two double beds, we also have one king bed that has an oversize jacuzzi tub. We serve breakfast in the dining room (this is included with your room rental as well as our tax of 12%). The Inn is well known for its large buffet breakfast of rolled crepe eggs, famous grits, creole fried potatoes, quiche, fried crispy bacon, various sausages, scrambled eggs, banana foster, cereals, bread items, fresh fruit, blintzes, apple crepes, orange juice, milk, hot coffee and teas, hot chocolate and more. Guest AccessOur guests have use of the New Orleans style brick courtyard, swimming pool, large porches and can enjoy the front parlor between the hours of 6:30am until 10:00pm. They are welcome to enjoy the front porch looking out under the 100 year plus live oaks draped in moss. There is also a front yard garden patio with over 400 bromeliads scattered about the property.
Enjoy our new guest bikes, free of charge, to pedal thru St. Francisville's historic district of historic churches, homes and courthouse, restaurants and shopping and views of the Mississippi River.
Many guest enjoy sipping on the porches a cocktail from our large bar, wine from the wine parlor, selection of over 200 different wines, or a large selection of beers.
Birders enjoy viewing over 50 different birds from our front porch and adjacent town park. Many photos can be seen on our main website at (URL HIDDEN) under photos.
Many guest enjoy watching movies on the large projection screen in the main house or sporting events on the large screen on the front porch. All Saints and LSU games are shown.
Nearby outdoor activities, include hiking at Mary Ann Brown preserve, Cat Island National Wildlife Refuge - home of the second largest tree in North America and largest bald-cypress tree or Clark Creek WMA as locals refer to it as Tunica Falls - numerous small water falls. Others enjoy the many birding areas which are on the flyway from Central & South American.
Golf at the nearby Arnold Palmer designed golf course at The Bluffs is a favorite for golf players.
Biking is a highlight on our small hilly country roads where several bike races are held annually.
Boating canoes and kayaks are spectacular when Cat Island NWR floods annually from the rise of the Miss. River.
Photography is a mainstay of the numerous Plantation homes, abundant wildlife, flowers in our spectacular historic gardens and cemetries and landscapes of rolling pasture land and unique flora of the Tunica Hills. Owner Patrick, a retired petroleum engineer, enjoys building wooden boats, cigar box guitars and caring for his 400 plus, ever-growing Bromeliads and various other plants.
Owner & Innkeeper Laurie Walsh enjoys painting in her spare time. She is also the town's Main Street Manager and parish Tourism Director as well as the local movie industry's liaison. With Laurie's past family background in the tourism industry and present tourism jobs, she is the go-to person for local attractions, event, festivals and other activities. The NeighborhoodWe are located right downtown in the Historic District. Guests can walk to a couple of restaurants, shops, historic churches and cemeteries. We have walking tour maps of the Historic District available. Stroll and relax in the adjacent Parker Park. Getting AroundWalking and biking downtown historic district but have to drive short distances to other attractions.
