The NeighborhoodMy house is tucked away at the end of the driveway, very quiet location, in a leafy, very safe residential neighbourhood. It's in a great location only 10-15 mins by tram to the action of St Kilda! and the beach or less than 10 mins by car. There is also a beautiful park 10 minutes walk from the house. Getting AroundI do not drive myself so it is an extremely convenient location for public transport. Two tram lines and buses are accessible near by, several train stations are within walking distance or just 5 minutes on the tram. It is only a 15 mins train ride to the CBD. Other Things to NotePlease note that there is only air conditioning in the living room and kitchen but it never stays very hot for more than a couple of days in a row in Melbourne! There is a fan in the main bedroom.

    The SpaceThe house is set back from the street by a lush front garden and high wall. At the rear of the house is both a paved and decked area great for outdoor entertaining featuring sun awning / BBQ / Seating and Outdoor heater. The downstairs of the house comprises of a large formal sitting room and rear TV room (with Apple TV), a powder room and large kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped for any budding chefs with two ovens and 5 stove top burner and most kitchen equipment and appliances one would need to whip up a good dinner party. The dining area is in a large glass area at the end of the kitchen which can be opened up to the decking. Its light and airy and great in summer. Upstairs there is the master bedroom with a King Size Bed (an additional single bed can be put in the room as well if required its a large space - making the house sleep 7). The second double bedroom features a queen bed and ensuite shower room. Then there are 2 smaller bedrooms both with (lockable) access to the front balcony both with single beds. (We also have a baby cot that can be provided in any of the rooms if needed). Upstairs also features a large family bathroom and large bookcase area on the landing with books and DVDs available to use. Other facilities include split AC / heating in all bedrooms and kitchen, wifi, apple TV, european laundry in kitchen, dryer in the garage, garage parking for 1 car (though on street parking is also free and available easily). We are 2 mins walk from the tram and bus stops going to St Kilda beach and / or the CBD. We are less than 5 mins walk from Balaclava Station which is 5 direct stops (approx 10mins) from the CBD or 4 direct stops (approx 8 mins) from the sporting centre for those going to the tennis. Kilda East / Balaclava itself is a great area if you don't want to travel out - tons of great cafes and shops to visit.     The SpaceThe apartment block is very quite and relaxing, and you wouldn't know that the best of Melbourne is on your door step! The two bedrooms each have a queen size bed and have recently been refurbished; there is new carpet, new curtains (very dark room) laptop desks and generous built in robes. The newly renovated bathroom has a separate toilet and laundry. Guest AccessThe entire apartment is yours! Interaction with GuestsI am contactable at all times via the AirBnb website or text message. I live a short distance away so can come over to meet with you if need be. The NeighborhoodA beautiful leafy suburb with lots of parks and quality cafes. There is a clash of all walks of life in this fascinating suburb; a notable Hasidic Jewish population, young families, backpackers, business professionals and a very gritty underbelly - all trying to make it out there! Getting AroundIf you are driving there is plenty of unrestricted street parking available in the street the apartment is located on. If you wish to get a taxi from the airport to the apartment, this is approximately $60-$70 AUD. There are also numerous public transport options to get to and from the airport. There are trams to the Melbourne CBD and St Kilda within a 10 minute walk from the apartment. These trams can also drop you at the closest train station - Balaclava Train Station. A 15 minute train ride will take you to the city and Melbourne's famous lane-ways, the Arts centre and the world famous Melbourne cricket ground. Getting AroundA tram to the city is only a short stroll away. Train stations (Balaclava and Caulfield) are nearby, and these will take you anywhere within Melbourne.
