Interaction with GuestsI'll help you whenever you need assistance, by AirBNB message, by phone, and I shouldn't be far away should you need help with anything. The NeighborhoodWest Beach is a quiet sought-after part of St. Kilda. It is probably the most laid back quarter of St. Kilda and has never taken itself too seriously - its artistic and bohemian culture, once touched by the edginess of the 1970s, and it's grandeur of the 1920s. Amazing restaurants, bars, galleries, theaters, the famous Espy, Palais Theatre, and even French cultural exhibitions. The cafes around here have a particular charm, and frequented by the locals from the area. Parks and beaches in an artistic surrounding. Experience the class of bohemian Melbourne, without the pomp or the grunge. Getting AroundAmazing things in every direction. West Beach is only 2 minute stroll, Albert Park lake only 5 minute walk away, Fitzroy St and Esplanade Sunday Market only 8 minute walk, Middle Park village only 6 minutes. Tram it to the city (choice of 12 or 96), or head to South Melbourne market just up the line. Albert Park, South Melbourne Market, and Acland St are all just zippy tram rides away from a stop right out the front of the building on the number 12. Other Things to NoteJust ask me about anything. The flat is clean, cool, relaxing and always ready to let out. Open to temporary accommodation for corporates too.

The bathroom consists of a toilet, shower recess, handbasin with mirror. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, living area. The living area is modern, light, stylish. The white kitchen has welcoming wide bench space, a mirror splash-back reflecting the beach views giving unlimited light to the living area. I am an easy going host. I know Melbourne very well so it is a great pleasure to meet travellers and share in the excitement of discovering a city that the citizens of Melbourne so love. WiFi is available to guests and there is parking space for one car. A beach pavilion opposite on the beach serves excellent coffee, cold beer, good wines and great seafood including classic fish and chips. A ten minute walk and you are at the centre of beautiful, colourful St Kilda with its stunning beach front, cafes, bars, restaurants. Walk along the pier and you may be lucky to see the resident penguins. Across the road is Luna Park for fun and old style amusements and the much loved Palais Theatre. A tram stop is a minute's walk away. Tram No. (URL HIDDEN) to the city is about twenty five minutes leisurely ride. The trams are a much loved feature of this elegant city. St Kilda is one of the premier beach playgrounds of Australia and you are guaranteed a stay that will remain with you always. Guest AccessGuests have access to car park space for one car. Interaction with GuestsI interact with my guests in a friendly manner but I am very aware of their desire for privacy. International visitors are often jet lagged when they arrive at my apartment so I am very respectful of their tiredness and disorientation. International flights arrive in the early morning so guests are most welcome to check in when they leave the airport. I The NeighborhoodI love my neighbourhood because it has a wonderful, lively, colourful atmosphere. There is always plenty of activity, a great array of cafes, bars and restaurants. The music is amazing. The Palais theatre nearby schedules performers from all over the world. It is worthwhile to see who is on when you are almost across the road. You won't be disappointed. A concert at the Palais is incredible. The nearby Memo Music Hall is also unmissable. Both walking distance, both venues you won't forget. A stroll along the pier to see the penguins who nest among the rocks is a must. Best time to see them is at dusk. While you are there have a drink or a snack at the kiosk. Breakfast is excellent at Il Fornaio, Phamish and the Cowderoy Street Milk Bar. Clothing, souvenirs and food shopping is also great fun at the South Melbourne Market which is a favourite venue for Melburnians and visitors. Getting AroundNo. 12 Tram is a minute's walk away. The stop is in the street behind my apartment. It runs frequently to the city. Other Things to NoteIf travellers wish to know personal recommendations regarding sightseeing I am most happy to help them. I can also recommend Airbnb accommodation at the Great Ocean Road. This magnificent region is far better enjoyed with an overnight stop. It is an enormous distance to travel in one day and not recommended. A journey to the glorious wine region of the Mornington Peninsula can be enhanced with an overnight stay in recommended Airbnb accommodation. For visitors with specific travel queries I will do my best to assist as I have had extensive travel experience both domestic and international.

The SpaceMy one bedroom flat close to everything is newly renovated in a clean white beach style. Don’t let the white freak you out it is designed to be lived in! There is one bedroom with a queen bed and a fold out couch in the lounge room. Ok for two young couples looking for weekend in Melbourne or a young family for a little longer. There is a fully functional kitchen that you can use on those rare occasions you do not go out to all the wonderful restaurants around you. I love the flat when there is a little walked in sand from the beach across the road! Guest AccessCheck in can be arranged 24/7 Interaction with GuestsSometime I may not be able to be there to greet you personally but I am always at your disposable. I live just around the corner and myself or my dad will always take your call. The NeighborhoodThere are great reasons you have chosen to be in St Kilda. It is inner city/beach side living. During the Victorian and Edwardian eras, St Kilda became a favoured suburb of Melbourne's elite, and many palatial mansions were constructed along its hills and waterfront. Shortly after the turn of the 20th century, St Kilda served a similar function for Melburnians as did Coney Island to the residents of New York City and its history draws an interesting parallel. Densely populated postwar St Kilda became Melbourne's red-light district, home to low-cost rooming houses. Since the late 1960s, St Kilda has become known for its culture of bohemianism and as home to many prominent artists, musicians and subcultures, including punks, LGBT and techno scene .While some of these groups still maintain a presence in St Kilda, in recent years the district has experienced rapid gentrification pushing many lower socio-economic groups out to other areas . St Kilda is home to many of Melbourne's famous visitor attractions including Luna Park, the Esplanade Hotel,(currently under redevelopment) Acland Street and Fitzroy Street. It is home to St Kilda Beach, Melbourne's most famous beach, several renowned theatres and several of Melbourne's big events and festivals. Getting AroundYou can get every where from here with ease. You have about three tram/light rail services at the back and front door witch can take you all over the city. If you want to go further you can take a tram to Southern Cross Train/Bus station and you can go anywhere you want. If you want to go even further you have the airport shuttle right at the back gate that can take you out to the airport in about 40 minutes . Melbourne is a great city to walk around and if you wanted to take a scenic walk to St Kilda road and down though the great gardens of Melbourne you can very easily do that from the flat The city also offers rental bike with lots of pick up drop off points, remember it is the law to wear a helmet and they come with the bikes. Other Things to NoteSadly there is no off street parking , however you have 2hour paid parking immediately out the front, paid undercover parking at The Prince Hotel one block away and free parking by the Cowderoy Café in Cowderoy street about two blocks away.
