Front bathroom has custom built glass stand-up shower, the other master bathroom offers shower and jacuzzi tub. Linens and towels are provided. *First bedroom has air conditioning unit, rear bed room does not because it opens up to the terrace where a lovely breeze and ceiling fan keep the room feeling nice. The NeighborhoodSt.Lawrence Gap, a 1.3 km stretch of road in the parish of Christ Church, is famous for it's fine restaurants, diverse accommodation, lively nightlife and good shopping. Getting AroundIt's quite easy to get around Barbados by public transport as there is a well established public transportation system as well as private buses and vans. The buses of the government's Barbados Transport Board are easily recognized by their blue color with yellow stripe. These buses traverse most of the island and have 3 terminals - 2 in the capital city of Bridgetown (at Fairchild Street and Princess Alice Highway) and 1 in the northern town of Speightstown. These buses will take you across the island including popular visitor sites such as Farley Hill National Park, Bathsheba, Harrison's Cave, Gun Hill Signal Station and Oistins. Look out for the red, white and black signs that indicating scheduled bus stops. Visit the Barbados Transport Board website for schedules and to plan your journey. The Transport Board also offers a Scenic Tour of the island each Sunday. This is an inexpensive way to see the island and a chance to interact with locals. Another option are the ZR (pronounced Zed-R) vans which are painted white with a maroon stripe. These vans are much smaller than the minibuses and buses and typically run shorter routes concentrated in highly trafficked and highly populated areas. They are a great choice for travelling along the island's south coast. Travelling by ZR van is quite an experience as they are known for their high speed, loud music, sudden stops and packing in as many passengers as possible! Other Things to NoteIf you require assistance requesting a taxi pick up from the airport, please make sure to leave with the driver sent for you, otherwise you can find your own taxi at the dispatch conveniently located just as you exit customs to front of airport. We have had guests in the past request a driver and in their excitement, find their own way while leaving a confused driver searching for them at the airport.

Getting AroundIt's quite easy to get around Barbados by public transport as there is a well established public transportation system as well as private buses and vans. The buses of the government's Barbados Transport Board are easily recognized by their blue color with yellow stripe. These buses traverse most of the island and have 3 terminals - 2 in the capital city of Bridgetown (at Fairchild Street and Princess Alice Highway) and 1 in the northern town of Speightstown. These buses will take you across the island including popular visitor sites such as Farley Hill National Park, Bathsheba, Harrison's Cave, Gun Hill Signal Station and Oistins. Look out for the red, white and black signs that indicating scheduled bus stops. Visit the Barbados Transport Board website for schedules and to plan your journey. The Transport Board also offers a Scenic Tour of the island each Sunday. This is an inexpensive way to see the island and a chance to interact with locals. Another option are the ZR (pronounced Zed-R) vans which are painted white with a maroon stripe. These vans are much smaller than the minibuses and buses and typically run shorter routes concentrated in highly trafficked and highly populated areas. There are buses, mini-buses and route-taxis going to the capital Bridgetown (approx. every15 min) and to other parts of the island until midnight. The bus fare is $ 2.00 BDS. We offer private (only you) English speaking Island tours, many different valuable activities and affordable diving packages at responsible dive shops. Barbados car rentals do offer on the Internet rates but then the guests sometimes have to pay more at arrival and they always get told that the insurance pay for all damages which is not correct. The roads are bad and the insurance don’t pay for tires and rims. The Internet advertisement for activities is often more expensive than special deals at last minute. Therefore we suggest you wait until you are in Barbados for the best deals as we get all the specials on advertisements.
