The Space4klm from the city, but in amongst the trees. Relaxing and beautiful home. The lap pool is on the 2nd level off the front deck. Guest AccessWe have a boy (aged 9) and girl (aged 7) room. They can leave toys and have a king single in each room. The upstairs lounge has a single bed + trundle. The main room is downstairs with an ensuite (it also has an extra mattress). The master bedroom, garage and study will be locked-up. Interaction with GuestsYou will likely meet a close friend of ours, who is also a local. The NeighborhoodIt is a leafy neighbourhood and many people enjoy walking their dog through the parkland. Hawkin Drive is a 20-30 min walk and has a strip of restaurants and convenience store. Plenty of shops, hotels, pubs and restaurants are close by. Please note that there is a kindergarten and school in the street behind. They are open from 8.30am til 3pm (Mon to Fri) - you can hear the children playing at the kindy when they are outside and you hear the school bells. Neither have ever bothered us, but something to know. There are many parks close-by some walking distance and some a 5min drive away. Getting AroundBuses are close (5-10 min walk) and travel regularly to accommodate the University of Queensland students. The city cat is a great way to travel via the Brisbane River into Southbank or the city - it takes 20mins to walk to the terminal (Gyatt Park). There is available parking in our driveway and also on the road. A taxi would be best to and from the airport and costs about $60 aud. Other Things to NoteWe have full kitchen and butler's pantry with many appliances, including juicer and coffee machine. Linen is provided.

Quiet leafy suburb close to Brisbane city centre. We live in a 6 bedroom house with lots of interesting features like a large deck overlooking palm trees and a gazebo where you can relax and listen to the tropical birds. English, French and Spanish are the 3 spoken languages at home. The river is very close and offer some nice walking/ cycling tracks. By bus it takes 30 min to reach South Bank in Brisbane where you can go for a swim, enjoy a meal, visit the art centre, go to the movies, etc...

The Space2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit / townhouse only 10 minutes walk to The University of Queensland. Close to public transport (bus and city cat). Short-term lease only (2 weeks maximum) The room is a spare bedroom where my parents would stay when they are in Brisbane. Hence, there will be some of their clothes in the drawers and half of the wardrobe. You will have a queen size bed and half of the space of built in mirrored wardrobe, with all linen, pillow, blanket, towels supplied. There is wifi available. You will have your own bathroom with basic toiletries available. Your room is dog free but Cookie is allowed on the couch in the living room. There are 8 visitor parking spaces available within the complex. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am happy to have a chat and share lounge room and TV, or leave guest to themselves. Sometimes, I have a couple of friends who come over for dinner. St Lucia is a mainly residential suburb and is generally regarded as one of the most affluent suburbs in Brisbane. Getting AroundThe university main bus stop is just 10 minutes walk from my place. The buses from there will take you to the city and Indooroopilly shopping center. The city cat terminal at Guyatt Park is just 3 minutes walk. If you are coming from the airport: - taxi will take approximately 30 minutes and cost approximately AUD$50. - train will take you to Toowong train station which is about 50 minutes train ride from the airport. From Toowong you can take the bus 412 towards the university of Queensland and stop at bus stop number 21 or 22 - and then you can walk to my place (3 minutes walk) for more information: go to translink website (website hidden) . au

The SpaceOur cosy family home is a 2 minute walk from Fairfield train station, and a 12 min train ride to the best that Brisbane has to offer: South Bank, Street's Beach, the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) and the Queensland State museum. Central Brisbane city is 15 min away on the train. There's also a bus to downtown Brisbane and Fortitude Valley which leaves from near our house. The house is in a fairly quiet neighbourhood, but it's conveniently close to most of Brisbane's attractions. The house is a traditional 1940s Queenslander, which means that it is a wooden house up on stilts: there's a big space under the house for playing, laundry, and storage. It's got hardwood floors throughout, and traditional ornate wooden features. You can enjoy staying in an authentic subtropical Queenslander home. Our garden is small. We have 2 kids aged 8 and 3, so there are toys, books, bikes and beds to suit! The house suits 2 adults and up to 4 kids. We have wifi, TV, DVD player, ipod dock, air conditioning/heating, PS2 and a Wii you can use. It's a quiet neighbourhood, so the house best suits a quiet family with young kids. Our house is in a lovely surbaran quite area. Close to public transport Zone 2. Walking distance to Supermarket. There is a lovely outdoor area overlooking a nice garden area. A large new modern kitchen with plenty of cupboard space and large fridge.

The SpaceLovely bedroom with comfortable bed, mirrored wardrobe, ceiling fan and lots of natural light. You will have your own bathroom with shower over the bath. I'll supply sheets, towels, soap and toilet paper so you don't have to worry about any of that. I also have a range of pillows from soft to firm so hopefully there will be one (or more) that suits you. There's a kettle and some basic supplies in your room to help you settle in for the first few days - if you are like me you need a cup of tea to get you moving in the morning! There's an open plan living/dining/kitchen area that we will share as well as two balconies which catch the breezes off the river. You should be aware that I am on the second floor (hence the breezes) so there are some flights of stairs to climb with your cases when you arrive and leave. Guest AccessYou will have access to your own room and bathroom, the lounge room, dining room and two balconies. We can talk about finding some space in the fridge for you and using the kitchen for cooking (there are a few idiosyncracies in the kitchen that I will need to explain). I don't have a drier so you will only be able to use the washer if you are staying for a few days. There is air conditioning in the lounge area but none in the bedrooms. Except in the hottest weather the ceiling fan is usually enough and I have a heater which I provide for cold winter nights as well. Interaction with GuestsI am very happy to help you get acclimatised to the neighborhood and to Brisbane - just ask! The NeighborhoodSt Lucia is a quiet leafy neighbourhood yet very close to the city. This is such a convenient location with supermarket, takeaway and restaurants all within walking distance and just a short trip on the Citycat (no traffic) into the city and Southbank for so much more variety and choice. Getting AroundThere is plenty of public transport nearby with buses and Citycat on the doorstep and a short trip to Toowong train station. There is also a Citybike stand nearby and you can easily walk to UQ and to Toowong where the big supermarkets, telcos etc are. Other Things to NoteThere is limited parking at the back of the units but we will be able to work something out if you need space for a car - just let me know when you want to book. I have a quite elderly cat who likes to sit on the sofa in the lounge room. She is friendly but keeps pretty much to herself most of the time and if I didn't tell you she was there it's possible you wouldn't even notice! And of course, if you need something or have a question - just ask!

The SpaceTired of staying in soul-less hotel rooms? We are in a quiet suburban pocket by the Brisbane River, with plenty of street parking, 100m from a bus stop . 20 minutes by bus to UQ St Lucia or Southbank. Easy 5-10 min drive to the local railway station, UQ Green Bridge, Mater & PA Hospitals & Tennyson Tennis Centre. We provide a comfortable Queen sized bed in private room with garden outlook. Across the hallway is your own sunny bathroom with shower and toilet. Linen included. Your room has a fan, a work desk and a wardrobe. It will be a pleasant temperature as it is off an air-conditioned shared living room. Our 1930's house has been raised and your room is on the ground floor, with laundry and large open plan living areas you are welcome to share. There is a lovely back verandah where we like to sit and eat breakfast and have an evening drink. We are happy to welcome guests with limited mobility. The downstairs bedroom is easily accessed from the front gate by 4 steps, with a sturdy handrail. There is a bed stick available. The bathroom has a walk in shower and handrail and a sturdy shower chair is available. An over-toilet chair can be arranged (please request hire cost when you inquire). There are small lips at some doorways, otherwise the ground floor and back deck are all at the same level. Sue used to work in a physical rehabilitation unit She is happy to assist with hygiene if requested (please request quote when you inquire). We also have a smaller air conditioned bedroom at the top of the stairs with two single beds in it if you prefer separate beds or are a larger group. This room is best suited for one or two children. The price includes a self serve breakfast of cereal & toast. We usually have soy and rice milk in the fridge and gluten free bread.You are welcome to help yourself to tea and coffee at any time. The laundry has a fridge that you are welcome to use. We can usually provide dinner with advance notice. Use of kitchen usually available. We'll drive you to the local shopping/eating area and railway station (15 mins to City) if you'd like. We are a family of 4 with 2 cats. We sleep and shower upstairs. We've travelled extensively, hosted many international visitors and try to provide the type of hospitality we have appreciated when we are travelling. For the first 6 months of 2016 we are also activating our other listing, another air conditioned single bedroom upstairs - please ask if you want any further information on this. It is a new building, with quality fittings, attached to my house but very private. The beds and appliances are new. A library and a selection of board games is available. Car parking is on the street outside. There are numerous outdoor areas to sit & relax. Guest AccessGuests can access the upstairs and downstairs decks and the garden. There is a shared laundry downstairs with 2 separate clotheslines. There is limited garage space for bicycle storage. Interaction with GuestsMy husband and I live on the premises in the attached house. We enjoy drinks on one of the decks in the late afternoons. Guests are welcome to join us. I am available to help with queries about the local area, the wider Brisbane area or further afield. The NeighborhoodI live in a very treed neighbourhood surrounded by parks, walking & cycling tracks, schools and the university. Our house overlooks a public golf course with an excellent bar/restaurant. The best gelati shop is at the end of the street next to the gym! Numerous coffee shops, restaurants, take-away outlets are within walking distance. Getting AroundIt is only 5 minutes walk to buses which go to the University, the City or Indooroopilly. When I'm going to the airport, I take the City bus and then the Airport train from Central Station. Carparking is available on the street outside the apartment.

Pets are welcome, as we have two adorable Border Collie puppies ourselves. We are students - but we are the good type - the quiet type who (pretend) that we are studying all the time, and therefore don't party much or come stumbling home drunk late at night, banging on the door because we lost our keys... Your area is one large porcelain tiled room, with a walk-through wardrobe that leads to a modern ensuite bathroom with a toilet, vanity sink, and large shower. You have your own direct entry, making coming and going more private and convenient. You have four large windows in your room, which flood the area with light, and welcome a pleasant North-to-South breeze through. Your two front windows look over the tops of a hedged wall, out over St Lucia, with a view right through to Cunningham's Gap! Your room has it's own air conditioner as well, even though the breeze that comes through is more than enough to cool down the area. The property is fully fenced, so if you also have a well behaved dog, they can chill in our grass back yard with our dogs, and are welcome in your room, as it is a tiled area. Guest AccessUpstairs, there is a kitchen which you can come up and use anytime. Our kitchen is modern with stone counters. The kitchen also includes a dishwasher and induction stove top. Interaction with GuestsWe are pretty flexible with how much you want to interact with us. The space downstairs is separate from upstairs, but we tend to think we are nice enough people to come up and chat to if you want to! Feel free to come up and sit around the table and eat with us. We can also organise to cook you breakfast and dinner for an extra negotiated price, that's fair to cover costs, if you'd like to leave the hassle up to us! Languages spoken in the household include German and French. We are pretty fluent in Australian too. Also, we have cars, so we are happy to drop you off somewhere if it's on the way to wherever we are going, or even if you just want a lift down the road to Taringa Train Station. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is close to everything, while still being quiet and safe. It's close to the city (10 minute drive), to the university (4 minute drive), and to shops. Getting AroundIf you are coming in by train, you need to get off at Taringa Train Station. Please organise with us in advance, and we should be able to come and pick up by car, otherwise, it's a 20 minutes walk if you don't have too much to carry! There is also a bus stop near our house, which services buses that come directly from the Brisbane CBD or university. It takes 30 minutes to get to the city, and 14 minutes to the university. Driving is even quicker, if you have a car, where the university is 4 minutes away, and the city is 10 - 15 minutes away. The house is close to Carmody Rd, which takes you directly to the university, and we are also a five minute walk to the Gailey Five Ways shops, including a cafe, fruit shop, butcher, and chemist. Regarding transport, the university is a 25 minute walk away, while there is alternatively a bus stop just round the corner with buses running every 10 minutes to the city or uni. The bus takes 14 min to uni, including the walking time to the bus stop. Other Things to NoteThis room is only on offer until the 8th of May.

The bus will take you to either Inndroppilly shopping center or into the Cultural center in the city. It runs every 1/2 hour in the morning and hourly thereafter. The train runs every 15 mins and will take you into city or beyond. Other Things to NoteCycling, canoeing, walking or running are all popular pass times utilizing the river access.

Pets are welcome, as we have two adorable Border Collie puppies ourselves. We are students - but we are the good type who (pretend) that we are studying all the time, and therefore don't party much or come stumbling home drunk late at night, banging on the door because we lost our keys... But it's okay if you do. The house has solid wooden flooring throughout, and high-high ceilings. You would be sharing the upstairs bathroom with two other bedrooms, which is kept clean daily. It has a large shower and a spa bath to use. Your room has a double bed in it, and therefore the room can be shared by a couple. It's one of our smaller rooms in the house, and for this reason doesn't have a wardrobe to take up floor space. However, it doesn't feel small, because, the ceilings are high, and the large french doors let in a flood of light once opened. Once opened, another meter and a half of balcony space is added in front of the doors, giving the feeling of lots of room. The view from the balcony extends over the surrounding suburbs and out to Cunningham's Gap. The breeze that comes through is very welcoming. The property is fully fenced, so if you also have a well behaved dog, they can chill in our grass back yard with our dogs, and are welcome inside, as we have mainly hard flooring throughout the house. Guest AccessYou have access to our kitchen, bathroom, balcony, backyard, single car garage (small car), and washing machine. Our kitchen is modern, with a dishwasher, induction stove top, coffee machine, combination microwave, breadmaker, and is built with stone benches. Guests are welcome to a few basic things in our kitchen, including milk, tea, coffee, cereal, and bread. If you would like anything else, we can direct you to the nearest shops, and show you to your cupboard space in the kitchen. Our upstairs bathroom is spacious, kept clean, and is with a spa bath included. Our back yard is a fully fenced, with grass: pet friendly (we love dogs - we will even give you a discount if you bring your beloved dog with you to play with our puppies.) Interaction with GuestsWe are pretty flexible with how much you want to interact with us. We tend to think we are nice enough people to chat to if you want to! We can also organise to cook you breakfast and dinner for an extra negotiated price, that's fair to cover costs, if you'd like to leave the hassle up to us! Languages spoken in the household include German and French. We are pretty fluent in Australian too. Also, we have cars, so we are happy to drop you off somewhere if it's on the way to wherever we are going, or even if you just want a lift down the road to Taringa Train Station. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is close to everything, while still being quiet and safe. It's close to the city (10 minute drive), to the university (4 minute drive), and to shops. Getting AroundIf you are coming in by train, you need to get off at Taringa Train Station. Please organise with us in advance, and we should be able to come and pick you up by car, otherwise, it's a 20 minutes walk if you don't have too much to carry! There is also a bus stop near our house, which services buses that come directly from the Brisbane CBD or university. It takes 30 minutes to get to the city, and 14 minutes to the university. Driving is even quicker; if you have a car, the university is 4 minutes away, and the city is 10 - 15 minutes away. The house is close to Carmody Rd, which takes you directly to the university, and we are also a five minute walk to the Gailey Five Ways shops, including a cafe, convenience shop, ATM, fruit shop, butcher, cake shop, florist, and chemist. Regarding transport, the university is a 25 minute walk away, while there is alternatively a bus stop just round the corner with buses running every 10 minutes to the city or uni. The bus takes 14 min to uni, including the walking time to the bus stop.

    The SpaceFantastic deck out the front of the house to kick back; back yard for those of us that need to kick a ball around; 4 bedrooms upstairs with massive lounge/ kitchen/living room. All furnished except 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4 to 5 all up; furniture/ amenities of good/high standard ( downstairs of the house is locked up for storage purposes)....a truly awesome base while being in Brisbane.
