The B & B accommodation at Mariton House is suitable for couples, families and small groups with queen and twin / triple rooms adjoining the sitting room and an additional double room, with antique brass bed and lovely outlook, is across the hall when required. The Queen room, for couples, has a magnificent brass bed, antique furniture and beautiful garden outlook. The queen and twin/triple rooms both adjoin the comfortable sitting room making an ideal family or small group unit.
Children and pets are all very welcome at Mariton House. The guest sitting room has a log fire for cold nights, TV, DVDs and CDs, books, games, tea and coffee facilities and free wireless internet access. The front veranda, with comfortable wicker chairs, overlooks the rose garden and has a gas BBQ available for guest use. The breakfast, an important part of anyone's day, is a substantial continental spread including cereals, yoghurts, juice, local jams and honey, breads and toast and farm fresh eggs laid by hens that you can get to know, boiled in a magic machine. Mariton House is on the eastern side of St Marys, on the corner of the Highway and the road to St Patrick's Peak, and is within easy walking distance of the centre of town with access to essentials, places to eat and drink and an increasing number of art and craft galleries showing the work of local artists. As well as the accommodation and bush walks at Mariton House you can also try the range of local activities including the climb to the top of St Patrick's or Paddy's Head for spectacular 360 degree views or the more gentle climb up South Sister where amazing views of the East Coast of Tasmania and inland can be seen. The Evercreech Forest Reserve, near Fingal, with the famous White Knights - tallest white gums in the world and the cascading Mathinna Falls are just some of the sights on the western side of St Marys. On the east coast side there are all the beautiful, clean beaches, the Douglas Aspley National Park, Bicheno with its fairy penguins, the fishing port of St Helens and the famous Bay of Fires all within a short driving distance of Mariton House. From a base at Mariton House the Freycinet National Park, Wine Glass Bay and Coles Bay, Pyengana with the Cheese Factory, the Pub in the Paddock and Columbia Falls and Ben Lomond National Park with its ski fields and walking tracks can all be easily visited and experienced.
