You will be staying in a rural location in the parish of St Mary with one of the most stunning views on the island! The house is a traditional granite house with plenty of character and a large garden, within walking distance from Greve de Lecq beach, La Matre Vineyards, Devils Hole and the National Park, ideal for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists. In the winter it can be quite exposed, so hold on to your hats! The basics: Shared dining room/kitchen, patio, garden. Private bedroom, shower, toilet, entrance. Features: A rural location in the parish of St Mary. One of the most stunning views on the island. A granite house with plenty of character, on a site with a rich history. A large beautiful garden. What to expect If your idea of romantic is a rustic blustery escape, if you like the idea of a bonfire under a peaceful star-lit sky, a candlelit picnic on the beach, walking along Jersey’s beautiful rugged North coast, or cycling down green country lanes, our house could be the perfect place to stay. Don’t expect carpets, cheap contemporary furniture, etc. We mix pared back wooden furniture with mid century design pieces, found treasures and homemade creations. We don’t have a television, but do have a large amount of card and board games. We cook with a wood burning oven (with induction hobs as an alternative option). The garden is full with apple trees, vegetables, a bonfire patch and wild corners for the bugs and birds. Hopefully we have balanced comfort with our idea of homeliness! ‘We’ are a small family with a four year old daughter. If we are on the island during your stay, we will be sharing the kitchen and dining area. Our bedrooms, living room and bathroom are upstairs. I have grown up on the island and can happily provide tips and information during your stay. See description! Nothing beats looking out to sea, whatever the weather.       Here we have a beautifully refurbished and modern 3 bedroom holiday house in Greve De Lecq Saint Ouen Jersey. Situated on Mont de la Greve De Lecq, surrounded by beautiful countryside and just a short walk or 2 min drive down to the Beach at Greve' De Lecq where you will also find excellent cafe's, pubs, and restaurants. There are walking and cycle tracks surrounding the house as well as shops including supermarket, bottle shop, hairdressers, post office, doctors surgery and a chemist just a 15 min walk or 2 min drive away. Suitable for families, groups, corporate booking etc. Guests have the use of a private garden and parking for up to 3 cars. A picturesque and idyllic location in the north west of the Island.         The Officers' Quarters are a stunning and unique property set within a Napoleonic barracks within yards of the lovely sandy beach at Greve de Lecq. The barracks are owned and managed by the National Trust for Jersey and the accommodation is ideally placed for enjoying our cliff paths and other lovely walks nearby. There are beach cafes/restaurants and pubs in this bay just a short walk away from this delightful holiday home. This high quality, centrally heated accommodation has been carefully created within the Officers' Quarters whilst still retaining the historic fabric, including features such as the original fireplaces. During the summer season the barracks complex is open to the public with special events being held on a very occasional basis. Children of all ages most welcome. This property is a great base for a cycling holiday and the owners offer complimentary use of bicycles. A first floor studio is accessed via external stairs: Separate kitchen with dining area. Small shower room with shower, basin and toilet. Open-plan living room with both double bed, wardrobe and comfortable 2 seater sofa plus sea view. Balcony and lower terrace. The studio benefits from a direct pathway to the beach (approx. 7 min walk) through a nature reserve and access to many surrounding footpaths and coastal walks, making it appealing to walkers, cyclists, nature lovers and bird watchers. Parking on site. Car recommended. Complimentary 'Welcome Basket' (tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits). Restaurants and sandy beach within 1/2m. St Helier 6m. Shop 1m. St Ouen's Bay stretches across the west coastline of Jersey, with a long sandy beach, sand dunes and a wide selection of restaurants and beach side bistros close by. This beach is well known for its surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking and beach activities such as paragliding and blo-karting. This is an ideal base if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful retreat from which to explore Jersey. St Ouen's Bay stretches along the length of Jersey's Atlantic west coast and is one of the best beaches for surfing in the United Kingdom. Surf boards are available for hire and there are 3 surf schools in the bay. Les Mielles Golf Club, with an 18-hole public course plus driving range, is close by. With direct access to many stunning walks including those in and around the La Mielle de Morville* Conservation area and the St Ouen's Pond* area, this is a perfect base for a relaxing holiday. *La Mielle de Morville translated from Jersey Norman French means the dunes of Morville. It forms the remains of a once extensive sand dune system which occupied the entire area of the bay of St Ouen; from the shore line to the ancient cliffs at the back of the bay. St Ouen's Pond and its surrounding reedbed has an enviable list of birds to its name. Marsh Harrier, Bearded Tit, Cetti's, Reed and Sedge Warblers, alongside Lapwings, Shovelers and occasionally Common Pochard are among the breeding birds.

            Booking now for next year and beyond. A stunning brand new 1 bedroom granite barn conversion in the beautiful parish of St Mary. Having been finished to a very high standard, it offers most comfortable and elegant accommodation with a traditional feel. It is a perfect base for both a cycling and a walking holiday (walkers having immediate access to the north coast cliff paths) and has a country pub serving good food just accross the road. It is only a short drive to the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Park (formerly Jersey Zoo) and the La Mare Wine Estate and Distillery is just a walk away and both are well worth a visit. Greve de Lecq beach is less than 2 miles away and can be reached in 30-40 minutes along the cliff path.heading east look out for the unusual sheep which graze the headlands here:http://www.nationaltrust.je/place/mourier-valley/ The property is suitable for up to 3 adults (or 2 adults and a child) plus an infant in a cot. This charming property gives easy access to the west coast beaches and also to the lovely Greve de Lecq Bay on the beautiful north coast where you will find a sandy beach, restaurants and pubs serving great food. This property is a great base for a walking or cycling holiday. Les Landes race course is nearby and is part of 250 acres of open heathland where the ruins of Grosnez Castle are a popular attraction and are a beautiful place from which to view the setting sun. The lounge features a sofa bed but a z-bed or a travel cot for up to one child can be provided. It is only a short drive to the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Park (formerly Jersey Zoo) and the La Mare Wine Estate and Distillery is just a walk away and both are well worth a visit. This barn conversion offers high quality holiday accommodation in a peaceful and private semi-wooded location and adjoins an extensive area of National Trust land. Plemont Bay is a short walk away and there is easy access to Jersey's cliff paths from this cottage without the need for a car. Outdoor seating area immediately outside the cottage. There is also a small sheltered area with a beautiful view approximately 100yds from the cottage along a grassy path which is on the owners' private property with a table, chairs and an umbrella. The owners provide a picnic blanket and cushions for clients to choose their own spot to relax and enjoy the extensive organic grounds. There is abundant birdlife here and a murmuring stream in the private valley. The location of this property will appeal to visitors wanting to relax and enjoy their surroundings. It is a perfect base for a walking holiday but would also be perfect for a cycling holiday as the property is surrounded by delightful country lanes in every direction. There is a restaurant within walking distance and the nearby sandy beach at Plemont Bay has a popular beach cafe serving snacks and also evening meals in the summer.
