The house is a traditional granite house with plenty of character and a large garden, within walking distance from Greve de Lecq beach, La Matre Vineyards, Devils Hole and the National Park, ideal for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists. What to expect
If your idea of romantic is a rustic blustery escape, if you like the idea of a bonfire under a peaceful star-lit sky, a candlelit picnic on the beach, walking along Jersey’s beautiful rugged North coast, or cycling down green country lanes, our house could be the perfect place to stay.
Don’t expect carpets, cheap contemporary furniture, etc. We mix pared back wooden furniture with mid century design pieces, found treasures and homemade creations. We don’t have a television, but do have a large amount of card and board games. We cook with a wood burning oven (with induction hobs as an alternative option). The garden is full with apple trees, vegetables, a bonfire patch and wild corners for the bugs and birds. Hopefully we have balanced comfort with our idea of homeliness!
‘We’ are a small family with a four year old daughter. If we are on the island during your stay, we will be sharing the kitchen and dining area. Our bedrooms, living room and bathroom are upstairs. I have grown up on the island and can happily provide tips and information during your stay.
See description! Nothing beats looking out to sea, whatever the weather.
