The SpaceQuiet spacious suite (35 sq mts) in Warehouse Conversion in Kensington, ten minutes drive into Adelaide CBD and a few minutes walk to Norwood Parade • Bedroom with queen sized bed • Your own private lounge/TV room with TV, sofa and desk. • Your own en-suite bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet • Walk-through wardrobe with ample storage • Free wireless internet. Please share the rest of the Warehouse, the kitchen and outside deck with me. The Warehouse was originally built in the 1970s as a juice factory. The single storey building has since been extensively renovated. The Warehouse is a contemporary space with a large lounge/dining room, generous kitchen and bi-fold doors leading to a deck overlooking beautiful Borthwick Park, giving it a rural outlook only 5 km from the city centre. Central Adelaide is only a 10 minute drive/25 minute cycle from Kensington, or around 15 minutes by bus. John has owned the Warehouse for eleven years. Gas heaters keep the space warm in winter and evaporative cooling in the main warehouse, keeps the building cool in summer. The bedroom and TV lounge both have overhead fans. The Bedroom The bedroom is quiet with a queen sized bed, fresh white linen sheets and a bookcase full of reading material. Plenty of storage/hanging space is available in the adjacent walk-through wardrobe that connects with the private en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and WC. Soap, towels and a hair-dryer are provided. There is an overhead fan. Adjoining lounge/TV room Your private lounge has a sofa, TV and a desk for your laptop or tablet. There is an overhead fan. Sliding doors close this area off from the rest of the house. Borthwick park With its stand of fine old River Red Gums, the park is home to nesting pairs of Rainbow and Musk Lorikeets as well as a Kookaburras and other birds that come in to drink at the Warehouse deck. A community biodiversity project is returning many of Kensington’s original native plant species to the park and it's great to see the smaller birds like honeyeaters and pardalotes now coming into to drink on the Warehouse wall. You may also get a glimpse of possums at night as they scale the trees. Around the area Kensington is one of Adelaide’s most historic ‘villages’ and was laid out in a unique diagonal grid pattern in the 1850s. A number of significant heritage buildings remain, including the Rising Sun Hotel in Bridge Street. Guest AccessOther facilities Guests have access to the rest of the warehouse including use of the kitchen (a guest fridge is provided for any supplies you may bring with you), washing machine and ironing facilities etc. Under cover clothes line or racks available. Off street parking is available for one car. Interaction with GuestsI respect the privacy of guests but am also happy to chat and to advise on plans and itineraries around Adelaide. The Warehouse is my home and I love it. I am usually home and available to guests but occasionally I may be out of town. If my possible absence is an issue please let me know before you book. The NeighborhoodKensington was one of the first villages settled in SA. It has many heritage homes and horse drawn trams used to ply from Kensington into the city down Norwood Parade. Norwood Parade Vibrant and popular Norwood Parade is a ten minute walk or two minute drive; home to outdoor bars and cafes, restaurants, take-aways, banks, shops, and cinemas. There is also a supermarket, post office and the art deco Regal (formally Chelsea) cinema at Marryatville is just a short walk up High Street. The beautiful and historic Norwood pool is a five minute walk away; located actually in Kensington (Philips St). Getting AroundShops and supermarkets are a 2 min drive or ten minute walk away (Norwood Parade and Marryatville). Adelaide CBD is 20 minutes away by bus. Regular buses run down Kensington Rd and Norwood Parade. In the city of Adelaide, you can enjoy our fabulous Central Market or head to Rundle Street for shopping. Free city loop trams are available. Other Things to NoteAsk me about the many places to visit around Adelaide: from our museum, art gallery and zoo to the beaches, wine areas and hills. I am a keen mountain bike rider and walker and can point you towards the trails where you will see koalas and kangaroos.

The SpaceHi there. My name is Scott and I have a self contained cabin available, which sleeps up to 4 persons. We are situated just outside of Adelaide, so the location is well situated for events such as The Festival of Arts, The Fringe Festival, Womad, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, The OZasia Festival, Tour Down Under and the V8 Supercar Races. (8 mins. by bus, and 20 mins by foot) The property is 2 streets from the River Torrens, and River Park, which makes for a most enjoyable walk into the city, along the river. Or the bus into town is just 2 streets away. The accommodation is probably best suited to a family, a couple, or a single person with double innerspring sofa bed or a loft frame double bed, and 2 innerspring single beds in the loft area. 4 adults can be accommodated easily. It contains a kitchenette, with microwave, Benchtop oven, fridge, toaster, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, Also included are a 32" flat screen with digital TV, a DVD player for movies and music, a stereo system, and reverse cycle airconditioning for comfortable relaxation. Internet access is also available. You will also have access to the outdoor kitchen, with hot and cold sink, 4 burner hooded BBQ, and outdoor pergola, covered table and chairs. Come and enjoy a peaceful and private stay, and of course if you need anything, all you have to do is ask. Thanks for your consideration. Cheers. Guest AccessSelf contained accommodation, Garden, BBQ, and if you need something just ask. Interaction with GuestsOnly as much as necessary. I respect visitors privacy, and have had little contact with some, and regular end of day drinks with others. Depends on the situation. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is quiet, with all needed amenities close at hand, and the company of nature always there. Getting AroundPublic transport is only 2 streets awayand takes 8 minutes to the city centre, and is a 20 minute walk along the River Torrens Other Things to NoteI have just made a few changes to the cabin, mainly installing a double loft bed. This was due to some reviews and comments, saying that the sofa bed was not that comfortable, so now a good nights sleep is available to those who do not like sofa beds. This loft bed is solid and is mounted to the wall. Also the shower floor has been relaid. Cheers, Scott.

The SpaceNorwood Place has a decor that reflects the history of the 1890's cottage tradition with contemporary style: Phillipe Starke chairs sit alongside glittering Regency mirrors whilst a French Armoire accompanies a patisserie sign - converted into a lavish rose gold bed head. Marble top tables, fine quality linen and crystal lamps complete the scene. Guest AccessAt home, you can relax by a gas open fire and enjoy all the creature comforts on the big and very comfortable chesterfield sofa. The evening may provide the perfect opportunity to relax in the spa before heading out to Rundle Street, The Eastend or the Cultural Precinct which is around 1.5 km from the home base. Rundle Street has the nightclubs and a wide range of dining options. It is also the start of the central shopping district. Penfolds Magill Estate cellar door, home to Grange Hermitage, is around a 20 minute drive. The Adelaide Wine Centre is around 1.5 km away. All visitors are encouraged to hire a car for the day and head "down the coast". Around 1 hour you hit the stunning views of McLaren Vale. The undulating landscape is covered in vines and hugged by the hills that seemingly melt away in the distance. Each winery is so unique and offers great character - often it seems more like a bar than a tasting room. Lunch - well that could be in a vineyard or a 10 minute drive to the Coast. Either way, round off the day in the clean waters of the "Gulf". Adelaide is home to the Tour Downunder cycling event, Womadelaide and a number of Festivals including the Fringe, Adelaide Festival and Cabaret Festival. All are word class events attracting big crowds to Adelaide. Check out the dates - definately worth a look. Norwood Place has everything you need to enjoy your stay with large screen television, dishwasher, queen-sized beds, washer/ dryer, cooker, stove and all the accessories.
