Our property is one of four adjacent to the common area bordering the Bitterroot River. The neighborhood is within sight of the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge, although it is a 4-mile to drive around to the Visitor Center. Getting AroundGuests will need a car to get to our home. We are 24 miles south of Missoula and about 27 miles north of Hamilton, Montana. Other Things to Note4 miles to the Visitor Center at the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge. 24 miles north to Missoula, 27 miles south to Hamilton. In between are more than 12 creekside trail systems taking you as far into the Bitterroot Mountains as you want to go. Day trip: drive over Lolo Pass to Idaho's Lochsa River, with Lolo Hot Springs (developed), DeVoto Memorial Cedar Grove, Lochsa Lodge, and Jerry Johnson Hot Springs (undeveloped). Day trip (summer only): Skalkaho Pass past Skalkaho Falls to Georgetown Lake and Philipsburg. Day trip: the Mission Mountains, the People's Center and Mission Church at Salish-Kootenai Indian Reservation, the National Bison Range. Other day trips: Flathead Lake, Lake Como. We are 3 1/2 hours from Glacier National Park, and 5 1/2 hours from Yellowstone National Park.

The SpaceThis 2200 sq. ft. home sits near the knees of the Sapphire Mountain range, with splendid views of the towering Bitterroots and also the gentler Sapphires. It’s spacious and welcoming, with two bedrooms on the main floor and a master suite on a second floor, in a separate wing. A loft area works beautifully as an office or extra bedroom (futon). Sofas in the TV/living room and family/dining room convert, if needed, into fold-out beds. The fully-equipped kitchen opens onto the family/dining room and is flanked by a stunning floor-to-ceiling river-rock fireplace. The 800 sq. ft wrap-around porch provides a wonderful spot for relaxing, meals, sunset watching, and even animal viewing – be it the neighbors’ horses or the deer, hawks, eagles, and osprey. The SpaceBeautiful two-bedroom/one bath home equipped with a full kitchen is located in the beautiful countryside not far from Stevensville, Montana. The residence, with a separate entrance, is attached to the main house. Queen log beds in both bedrooms and full-size hide-a-bed sofa in the living room can accommodate up to six people with advance notice. Nestled in the valley between the awesome Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountain ranges you will find the perfect retreat in "Where Eagles Gather". This comfortable vacation home, attached to the hosts' residence, is located eight miles southeast of quaint, historic Stevensville, "Where Montana Began." As you drive up, you will notice the lovely landscaped grounds and entrance to the home. A deck provides a relaxing sitting area to drink your coffee. During the summer, take in the color of the surrounding flowers, view the hummingbirds at their feeder, and gaze at the mountains. Since, the hosts are professional artists and retired professors, original artwork by the hosts and other artists adorns the home. The seven acres includes a barn, goats, a pond, and a garden during the summer. This is a working ranch so during the day guests may hear the cutting of wood, lawn tractors mowing the fields, or even the (EMAIL HIDDEN)fortable accommodations include two-bedrooms and one-bath with a full kitchen and laundry room. A full-size sofa bed even provides sleeping space for one adult or two children should additional room be needed. Please see note below concerning children. Up to two extra guests over four are allowed given we have prior notice. There is a $15.00 charge per night per each additional guest. This includes well behaved children of any age. Stop and sit a spell.... watch the cows and calves grazing just across the yard fence, listen to the coyotes yipping in the distance late at night, see deer and other wildlife wandering along the creek. The Sheep Camp is located smack dab in the middle of one of the most beautiful spots in the Bitterroot and it is Montana at its best. A wrap around balcony surrounds the living area - from this vantage look down into the draw filled with cottonwood and Ponderosa pine trees and a small flowing creek. To the west the Bitterroot mountains are a sight to behold. The house is decorated with western art and furniture. The main floor has two bedrooms with queen sized beds and 1 and 1/2 baths. The large living room and kitchen are combined in an open concept and the fireplace in the living room adds a special western flair. The daylight basement has a large family room and 3 additional bedrooms (2 with queen sized beds and 1 with two twin beds) plus a full bathroom. Grab your boots - you're in for a western treat!!

This simple & rustic, but warmly cozy cabin will take you back to a time where life was much more simple. A place where farm life meets the wild life, and all you have to do is watch. And, the newly built log cabin is complete with many windows to see it happen all around you! A queen sized log canopy bed & full sized futon both with linens is where you will rest at the end of a busy (or not so busy) day enjoying the wonderfullness of our beautiful Bitterroot Valley and all she has to offer. We are located approximately half way between Darby & Missoula, a straight shot north or south on Hwy 93. The Bitterroot Mountains to the west and the Sapphire Mountains to the east. A gorgeous drive you won't soon forget! Five miles from the cabin you are at Kootenai Creek trailhead, a breathtaking hike through the rocky mountains alongside freshwater waterfalls that are the Kootenai Creek. Only two miles from shopping and restaurants in Stevensville; where Montana first began! St. Mary's Mission, Blacksmith & Wildwood Breweries, Creamery Picnic, Mission Bistro, & Maries Italian Restaurant are just a few places and events to experience while lodging at Cabin In The Wildwood. The cabin is complete with a small range with oven, sink, fridge & microwave. Dishes, pots and pans, flatware & glasses are available along with a BBQ if you feel like dinning in. A fireplace & extra blankets will be provided in case the Montana evenings are a bit more chilly than you were expecting. Summer month temps can get to 100, but its very rare. One thing you can always count on: it WILL cool off in the evenings. The Cabin In The Wildwood is a dry cabin, but only a short walk across the grass greets you with a private outside entrance to a full bath in the main home complete with fresh towels and hot water! A casual 1/4 mile walk leads you to a private 5 acre "park". Owned jointly with the surrounding landowners, sits on the edge of our beautiful, & bountiful Bitterroot river. Wake up to the sounds of numerous birds that make the wildwood their home. Watch the deer, elk or moose make their way to water each day as they travel through the woods on the property's southern border. A bear & mountain lion have also been known to visit, however I have only witnessed the bear! Cabin in the Wildwood could easily be the Bitterroots "best kept secret" .... it could also be yours!

A quiet, peaceful 2nd Floor apartment (500 sq. ft.) with its own private entrance and deck. Rustic setting with spectacular views of the Sapphire and Bitterroot Mountains. There is plenty of parking with available space for RVs, boats, trailers, etc. Horses are welcome at an additional fee. For you Rodeo Contestants and Trail Riders, we can accommodate your stay and horses between events and/or trail rides. There are also horseshoe pits for your onsite enjoyment. Lots to do nearby...great fly fishing and hunting! For your nightlife entertainment, we are located halfway between Missoula and Hamilton, so take your pick...they both have lots to offer! We have everything necessary to set up a home base to discover Southwest Montana and all its beauty. Our wind/solar/propane powered cabin delivers a vacation from it all, but you still have all of the comforts of Missoula (voted one of the top places to live by Outdoor Magazine in 2014) at only an hour away. Our place is ideal for a family vacation where parents can hike with their children, teach them to fish or find multiple outdoor adventures without competing with social media. Our cabin offers an amazing opportunity in tranquility and would suit newlyweds, work professionals or just anyone who wants to find nature and unplug. Our sleeping arrangement includes 2 bedrooms each with queen sized beds and a twin sized sleeper couch in the living room. Bathroom has a shower, sink and standard toilet. Plenty of hot water. Unique Features: Only 20 miles south of Interstate 90! Our 1300 sq. ft. Moose Paddle Retreat getaway was built to blend seamlessly with the rustic, unspoiled environment of this nature lovers dream. The heat sources are propane heaters in addition to wood fireplaces. A propane fridge, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and firewood are provided for guests, but no washer, dryer or TV. The property is completely off the grid and has no cell reception. The entrance to Moose Paddle Retreat includes a scenic 10 mile drive on a gravel road. Things to Do: Cabin time includes early morning coffee while watching the new fawns chase their mothers from the deck or late night stargazing and bonfires. Hike the National Forest within 300 yards of our MT vacation home. Discover moose and bighorn sheep only 10 yards from your vehicle while out exploring the stream to the south of our property. And last, but certainly my favorite, Blue Ribbon trout fishing on Rock Creek is only a short walk from the front door and perfect for all levels of fisherman. Other family trips include a trip into nearby Philipsburg which houses world famous Gem Mountain. Here, you can dig in gravel for your very own Montana Sapphires and maybe strike it lucky. If your sweet tooth needs solved, you can also discover a Montana favorite, Sweet Palace... or for the adults, dive into the local brewery and grab a growler. We would love to share our home with you and look forward to helping you discover a place in Montana that we fell in love with at first sight. The amazing location and privacy of this property speaks for itself. Located just steps from Rock Creek you can put the coffee on, throw a line in and have a fish on before your first cup. Sitting on 3.5 acres, surrounded by USFS land, wetlands with an additional spring creek, and mountains, this is your own personal getaway! Whether you are a hard core angler, novice or porch lounger, this property will meet your every need. The pond, located about 50 feet from the front porch, is perfect for young children to try their hand at fishing and fun for the expert to practice that new dry fly. A short hike gets you over to the spring creek to try your luck. And the famed blue ribbon trout stream called Rock Creek needs no description. The cabin has three porches. The front porch tends to be sunny and looks out over the large yard and pond. The two back porches, one upstairs and one down, sit overlooking Rock Creek and tend to stay in the shade. Large windows allow constant views of the wildlife and surrounding mountains. Downstairs holds a large laundry/mud room, open kitchen/family room with beautiful gas stove, the master bedroom with queen bed and full bath. Climb to the loft and you may not want to come down after seeing the view from all directions. Two queen beds and a bunk with queen mattress on bottom and twin on top plus a full bath and small bedroom with a twin bed finish the loft area. We also have three blow up mattresses if extra sleeping space is needed for large groups. We stock the cabin with many conveniences ranging from basic spices, hand soap, laundry detergent and paper products to shampoo and hair dryers, allowing for lighter bags on those long flights and a faster stop at the market. Dish network, internet, WiFi, and included long distance phone, keep you as connected to the world as you would like to be. Coolers, plastic ware, guide recommendations, we also happily supply. Yard games for the kids, bug catching gear, even bubbles, to name a few more items, make the days enjoyable for all. Returning guests will find more conveniences this year and see the true beauty of the property as we bring the yard and Cabin to their full potential.     This gorgeous log cabin, nestled on 20 acres on the banks of the beautiful Bitterroot River, is located only 21 miles south of Missoula. It sits on a small knoll with a green lawn running to the river's edge just 100’ away. This two story log cabin features a nice sized living room with knotty pine cathedral ceilings, four skylights and a beautiful large stone fireplace framed with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the river. The very comfortable master bedroom is on the main floor with a queen sized log bed and lots of windows and wonderful views. There is a full bath with a claw foot tub/shower next to the master bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped including microwave and a coffee maker. Upstairs there are two nice sized bedrooms with a queen log bed in one and two twin log beds in the other. They both have great views. The gas BBQ grill is on the covered porch overlooking the river and there is a screen porch as well. With over a 1000’ of river frontage, good wade-able trout fishing is only a cast away. The property is quite private with the 20 acres sitting at the end of the road with the Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge across the river yet only 21 miles to Missoula.     The Rivers Edge Cabin is located steps from the Bitterroot River near Stevensville Montana. Enjoy early morning sunrises from the deck or living room as you sip your coffee before heading out to enjoy all that the Valley has to offer. The Cabin has three bedrooms and a very open floor plan. All rooms look out onto the river. The main living area has amazing hardwood floors and the living room is complete with cathedral ceiling and a gas fire place. We have a large mud room for all your dirty outdoor clothing to be stored until the next day and a two car garage. Outside, the yard is beautifully landscaped and includes a garden area. In Summer, you can pick raspberries from the garden or hike into the Bitterroots to gather fresh huckleberries. The yard has horse shoe pit and a hot tub to soak your tired muscles in. The Cabin is conviently located close to Stevensville, yet is very private. Within 5 minutes you can be at the boat launch, grocery store, restaurants, hiking trails, bike path and wildlife park. Golfing, skiing, wine tasting, horseback riding, rock climbing, hot air ballooning and much more, are all available close to the Cabin. This cabin is ideal for any group although not really set up for toddlers. You won't regret staying at the Rivers Edge Cabin and will want to visit again.
