The SpaceIt's a simply beautiful and historic country property (circa 1928); casual and laid back yet elegant and romantic. Lovingly stewarded and we continue to restore all aspects. The cottage you will stay in is cozy and the estate grounds are perfect to meditate, read, reflect, or swim and sunbath by the gorgeous garden pool. Guests are welcome to use grounds as seating spaces and tables throughout however you have your own gated and private patio that's part of the cottage reservation. Restoration. Guests with well trained pets are welcome and will incur an additional cleaning fee. Guest AccessPrivate iron gate with remote access. Check-in time is 3:00pm or after. Check-out is up until 12:30 pm on day of departure. Interaction with GuestsInteraction is made upon your arrival greeting and departure farewell by host, Hannah. As this is our family home you may engage family members on the property grounds as well yet we have discovered that's fairly minimal - so your space in the cottage is really your own during reservation. Getting AroundYou'll have to drive to get here since it's the beginning of the semi rural area between Stockton and Lodi; close to the Interstates (99 and 5) and easy to quickly get out to your wine country or Northern California destination. Approx. 83 miles east from downtown San Francisco - quick drive from Oakland/ SF East Bay or south of Sacramento. We are in and out of the SF Bay Area and Sacramento all the time. If you are driving, load up your road bike(s) for some backcountry cycling. Ground is flat. We have a couple cruisers to use which are cool too, yet for low key riding. This is growing and serious cycling region. For water sports, bring your kayak, canoes, and jet skis for San Joaquin Delta and other waterways excursions. Or go to Groupon and get one of the many white water rafting specials only an hour away off of the American River or in Yolo County at Cache Creek. Or bring your fishing poles or go rent a boat for deep port fishing. Lodi Lake is super fun for low key people with no equipment of any kind - you just show up and rent what you need at the Lake House and go out kayaking, etc. Gun ranges are within 2-3 miles featuring local competitions and one of the major soccer complexes for youth on traveling teams is less than a mile. A major ski diving school for novices and experienced divers is approx. three exits up from Bella Donna. It's a huge draw for the adventure seekers. There are major (big box) stores for all your needs, cleaners, major grocer, drug store, etc. within 2 miles if you need that kind of thing. Trader Joe's is within 4 miles; Raley's less than a mile; Delta College and the University of the Pacific are within 5-6 miles each. Other Things to NoteThis is a country property in an agriculturally zoned area not within city limits; so make sure you are seeking a rustic environment with some animals, maybe a pile of leaves, free range chickens pecking around the property, some equipment out or a worker on grounds for property maintenance/ planting, etc. during your stay.

The SpaceWe have our yacht docked on the first dock-AAA. This gives you an open view of the Marina guest dock, restaurants, and incredible sunsets over the Yacht Club. Walk down past the restaurants and you have a beautiful view down a long channel where Delta wakeboarding is fantastic. If you are a business person working in Stockton, everything you need is on this yacht including a hand steamer for your jacket. The Island Oasis is our home away from home. Village West is a nice-size Marina with two great restaurants, BOBS (great breakfast menu/burgers) and Garlic Brothers (careful of the mai-tais). Great bands on weekends and Thursdays. Summer Tuesdays are Taco Tuesdays with 1/2 price pizza and a band. There is an In-Shape Health Club right next to our dock with tennis courts, a heated outdoor pool sauna, and spa, ($13 per day). We do have tennis racquets available for your use too. Please call me and request. A grocery store Marina Market is less than a 1/2 mile down the road at Ben Holt and I 5. TV is only basic local stations. Sorry. Guest AccessYou will have access to the entire yacht. The Captain & owner, Wendy, will show you how to manage the power and provide the keys. The yacht is not permitted to leave the dock. If you are interested in a cruise, those can be booked through MyDeltaCruise (c.o.m.). (Sorry, for the funny way of writing our website. It will be hidden otherwise, for safety issues. But, we want to be clear AirBnB can only reserve sleeping on a parked boat, if you want to cruise too, you must book through our private cruise company.) The key fob I will give you for entrance to AAA dock also allows you behind the security gates of the Marina so you can enjoy the walk (3/4 of a mile) to the Yacht club. You can also park your car behind these gates for extra security or when the parking lot is full because of a great band playing at Garlic Brothers. This key fob also allows you into bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities on your walk to the yacht club and "owners only" bathroom at Bob's. Relax and have fun. Please treat the Island Oasis yacht as gently as if it were your own. It is designed for comfort, tranquility, and entertaining. There is a manual on the boat with instructions on wi-fi, electrical panel, marine toilets and of course information on local restaurants and wineries. Please sign a release form in the black binder before using water toys such as paddleboards, kayak, fishing equipment and paddleboat. Always use a life jacket. We have plenty onboard. Drowning is always a risk when around water. On the water, turn to your left at the Marina exit and play with the water toys there. You are out of the exit path to and from the Marina and people have to slow to 5 miles per hour making this a safer place to play. Interaction with GuestsI will be present to provide your keys, guide you to the boat and make sure you know how to use the power unit. It will take approx. 15 minutes as a Yacht is very unique. I live (also on the water) down the street so will be available to help if you call. The NeighborhoodStockton, unfortunately, does not have a great reputation, but one of the best-kept secrets is the Stockton Delta. It is incredibly blissful. Sea lions follow the Stripers up in the river in the spring. Great Bass fishing. Beautiful white Egrets, turtles, and Canadian geese. Look at .org (California Delta) If you wish to rent a ski boat for your stay. Seven Crowns website. 20-foot ski boat with tower is $220 per day or $1050 for seven days. Paradise Point Marina 8095 Rio Blanco Rd Stockton, CA 95219 You would have to negotiate keeping ski boat out overnight or just return then drive back to Village West (15 minutes). The cost to moor at the guest dock at VW Marina (directly in front of your yacht) is 75 cent per foot overnight. ($15) Wine tasting is excellent in Lodi. Try Oak Farms first- my (URL HIDDEN) is on the Yacht. Getting AroundStockton is an easy 40-45 minutes from the Sacramento airport. 90 minutes to SF Airport and 40 minutes to the Livermore Bart. Parking is Free at the Marina. Close to winetasting in Lodi, 1.5 hours from Napa, 1.5 hours from Pier 39 in San Francisco, 2 hours 15 mins to Kirkwood for skiing in winter (level 4 mountain) 3 hours to Lake Tahoe and 3 hours to Yosemite. Other Things to NoteIsland Oasis is a seasonal adventure. The summers are fantastic! Water is warm 76- 78 degrees with beautiful balmy evenings. Winters are very different, many people love them as the Marina is so quiet, you can enjoy the Egrets, Ducks, Canadian Geese, maybe a Turtle or a Sea Lion if lucky. We often enjoy glorious sunsets. Please bring a wetsuit in winter if you wish to paddleboard, always wear a life Jacket and sign the release on the yacht before using any of the water toys. Please have at least one review or be prepared to send references. This yacht is a 30-year dream for my family, and we spend hours maintaining to be ready for your stay. We need to feel comfortable you will care for it as we do. By law children under 13 years old are required to wear a life jacket at all times while on a dock or aboard a boat. For everyone's safety, we require that all persons staying on the boat are at least 13 years. City of Stockton Permit #(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) California SOS # (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

The marina is very quiet and very convenient for both recreation and business travelers. An In-Shape tennis & health club is adjacent to the marina entrance with Tennis Courts, Exercise Facilities, Sauna, Steam Room, Spa and an Outdoor Pool maintained at 85 degrees year-round. For the business traveler, what could be better at the end of a long, hard day than to return in the evening to the quiet, laid back environment of your private, floating oasis. Leave the rat race behind and enjoy the solitude of life as it is in the California Delta with the conveniences of the vibrant businesses nearby. Stateroom - The stateroom has the standard V-Berth arrangement typically found in most vessels in this size range. Pillows and bedding are provided. Village West Marina Facilities - Aside from the on board marine head and shower, the marina provides convenient, exquisitely maintained and spacious Restroom, Shower and Laundry facilities near the dock entrance and near the office and restaurants. There is ample secure, free and convenient parking available at the dock entrance, protected by an electronically controlled gate. You may launch a small boat at the launch ramp and store your trailer on the street just outside the marina entrance for the duration of your visit. Be sure to let your host know ahead of time that you will be bringing a boat to be launched while checking in (during marina office hours). There are two restaurants at the marina: Bob's At The Marina (breakfasts, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, Etc.) and Garlic Brothers Restaurant & Bar (lunches, dinners, drinks and fabulous views of the magnificent Delta sunsets, overlooking The Delta towards Mt. Diablo). Garlic Brothers also offers live music on weekends and some weeknights. Life on the delta and aboard a boat is slow paced, laid back and casual, a throwback to the way things used to be. The clock seems to run slower here and that's why the locals call it "Delta Time." Relish your Delta Time before you have to leave it behind and return to reality. Lounge in the cockpit in the morning and enjoy your favorite coffee and a bagel or pastry before heading out to explore the area. Later, if there are clouds visible in the western sky, return to the boat to enjoy the spectacular evening sunset over Mt. Diablo. The Garlic Brothers restaurant patio located at the marina is a fantastic place to view the sunset. Local Boating Knowledge - Boat rentals are available at several locations throughout the delta. Also, there are Delta Cruise Boat operators available that may be found online by web search. Although the Delta waterways are fresh water, they are at sea level and are tidal as twice per day they raise and lower several feet behind the incoming and outgoing ocean tides. At low tide some of the waterways can be very shallow. Also, the tidal action can result in some very strong currents so be careful if you go boating or swimming in the waterways. Should you encounter any difficulties on the water, the California Delta waterways are Federal waters and fall under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Coast Guard with assistance from local county authorities. Channel 16 on the Marine radio is monitored 24/7 by the USCG, Station Rio Vista. Guest AccessLocation - This vessel is docked at Village West Marina, about 100 yards before the Village West Yacht Club. The marina is located in a nice residential area at the Western edge of Stockton, Ca., one mile West of I-5, at the Eastern edge of the 1100 square mile California Delta, a huge maze of 1000+ miles of intertwined navigable waterways. Length of Stay - Normally, there is a 2-night minimum. However, for "Day Of" reservations or when only one day is available before another booking, a 1-night stay will be considered with a $10 surcharge. To request a 1-night stay, send a request for pricing to the host. Access to the marina docks, restroom and laundry facilities is controlled by a security key fob which you will be provided along with the boat door key upon check-in. When checking out, you will return the fob and key via an on-board drop box after securing the vessel. The In-Shape Health Club located adjacent to the marina entrance is available free to In-Shape members or, for non-members, it is available to use at $16/day/person or $12 as a guest of a member. Discount or free trial offers are frequently available on the In-Shape website or at the facility. Interaction with GuestsCheck-In/Out - Check-in and walk-thru are handled in-person by your host. Your arrival and departure times will be coordinated ahead of your visit at a mutually acceptable time. It is very common for guests to require late check-in after a long work day and heavy traffic, especially on Friday nights. Your host has been there and done that and fully understands the situation. He will make every effort possible to accommodate your requested times, dependent upon other commitments and other arriving and departing guests. It takes up to four hours between guests to clean and prepare the vessel so that must be considered when scheduling arrivals and departures. Your host lives in Manteca, about 30 minutes away but he will be available by cell phone throughout your visit for any questions or issues that might arise. Your host, a life long Northern California resident, is a Stockton Certified Tourism Ambassador and will be happy to answer your questions about Skipper's Dream, Stockton, the California Delta or the surrounding regions. Your comfort and pleasure are the highest priority and we expect you to enjoy an extraordinary visit. The NeighborhoodIf you like the water, the California Delta is a recreational wonderland. It is a fresh water vacation and recreational paradise consisting of navigable waterways located at the confluence of the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers, where those rivers flow through the Carquinez Strait from the Central Valley into San Pablo and San Francisco Bays and the Pacific Ocean. The 1000+ miles of waterways are contained by large levies that prevent the water from invading the vast parcels of below sea level, reclaimed farm land, some of the most fertile on earth. The triangular boundaries (delta) are roughly Pittsburg-Antioch on the West, Sacramento to the Northeast and Stockton-Manteca-Lathrop-Tracy to the Southeast. The area is midway between Lake Tahoe to Yosemite on the East and San Francisco to Monterey on the West. Easily visit any Northern California location during a day trip while staying aboard Skipper's Dream. Or, spend your days exploring and playing on the The Delta, as it is commonly called. There are numerous restaurants, shopping centers and other businesses available within minutes of the marina on Benjamin Holt Drive, March Lane, Hammer Lane, or Pacific Avenue and beyond. Groceries are available one mile away at Marina Market on Benjamin Holt Drive near I-5, and 2.9 miles away with Podesto's Market, Trader Joe's and a discount market, all located at Lincoln Center (Benjamin Holt Drive at Pacific Ave). Wine Country- There are over 85 Boutique wineries in the area and the Lodi Wine & Visitors Center is only 20 minutes from the marina. The diverse selection includes Zinfandel to Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Chardonnay and many varietals. The region features 110,000 acres of vineyards while boasting over 750 growers. Lodi was proclaimed by Wine Enthusiast as the '2015 Wine Region of the Year' beating out finalists Marlborough (New Zealand), Russian River Valley, Sicily and Walla Walla (Washington).
