I have lived in France, Japan and India and speak some French and Japanese. I have traveled around the world twice. I am very interested in the history and culture of this area and help guide or explain. The NeighborhoodThe area of Bucks County where we are located is the most beautiful. It retains its charm and 19th century feel. It is considered historical. The Delaware River and Canal towpath are a five minute walk. It is the Eastern and Central/ Northern part of Bucks County, where development has been restricted and the rural atmosphere is alive. It is very quiet, and the skies at night are spectacular. All four seasons have their own special beauty and charm. Alot of local night life and live music in New Hope and Doylestown. Famous chefs and restaurants abound. Getting AroundThere is parking for any vehicle. A bus to New York City is a 12 minute drive from here. The bus and train to Philadelphia are a 15 minute drive from here. There is a train to and from New York City from either Trenton or Hamilton station. By car NYC is one hour (via 78 and Holland Tunnel) Philadelphia is also one hour by car. (via 32 and 95 or 309 and 76) New Hope, Frenchtown or Doylestown are each 12 minutes by car in different directions. Princeton is 45 minutes by car. The New Jersey shore is one hour by car (Bellmar) or 2 hours to Atlantic City. The Pocono mountains are two hours by car, to ski resorts. Day trips to smaller ski areas are under one hour by car. If you are using public transportation, I am available to help you and can pick up at Newark, Trenton or Philadelphia airports, as well as Hamilton, Trenton, Warminster or Doylestown train stations, or Frenchtown, Flemington, New Hope or Lahaska bus stops. Other Things to NoteThere are bicycles and kayaks available for your use if you choose, free of charge. There are nationally known technical rock climbing areas 5 minutes from my home. The river and towpath are a five minute walk. My personal interests are biking, hiking, frisbee, kayaking, golf, motorcycling, billiards, pool, ocean swimming, body surfing, and volleyball. All of these activities are available close to here. There are fine restaurants all along River Road and in New Hope. There are shopping outlets. The Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope is the state Theater of Pennsylvania. Other live performing arts venues nearby and of course in New York on Broadway and in Philadelphia. Barnes Foundation, Rodin Museum, Philadelphia Art Museum, nearby Michener Museum, Fonthill, Moravian tile works are all easily accessible.
