The SpaceThis is a charming little church, converted to a beautiful living space, and is situated in the little rural village of Stokers Siding, in Northern New South Wales. The church is in an Australian Bush setting with a babbling creek bordering the property. The nearest town is about 8km away at Murwillumbah and some of the finest and most famous surfing beaches in the world are less than 30 mins drive away. Staying in this little bush town will leave you with enduring happy memories. The old church has one bedroom and bathroom with an open living and kitchen space. There is a wonderful veranda at the rear of the church. The church grounds contain a little one-bedroom capella which is also for rent separately. From both the church and the capella you can hear the murmur of the running brook as you go to sleep and hear the native birds in the morning as you wake up. Stokers Siding is a sleepy little village, but there are a great many visits nearby. Byron Bay, Bangalow and Kingcliffe are about a 30 minute drive away.

Other Things to NoteBefore you send information requests or enquiries , please read all the INFORMATION HERE on our Airbnb site first, as most questions people ask we already have answered here in our info. Questions regarding ROOM RATES are best checked by yourself here on the site than asking us, as the price fluctuates depending on currency exchange rates and Airbnb service fees, time of booking, numbers etc. The system calculates them automatically. Consequently it is difficult to provide exact prices. Just enter your specific dates and number of people to get the price on the airbnb web site. The home has been designed to have a zero carbon footprint - it is eco-friendly and totally solar powered. ---------- Our guest manual (available after you book) has extensive information on things to do; including how to gain access if we are not able to greet you on arrival, as well as emergency local contacts if you have trouble. ---------- Cleaning - The cleaning fee covers basic general cleaning but we ask guests to leave the residence in a reasonable state. We don't expect you to break out the broom and mop etc -------------- Linen and Toiletries- Bed sheets and bath towels and tea towels are provided. Please bring your own toiletries. ---------- Kitchen - there is a fully self-catering kitchen available; including crockery, saucepans, napery, etc. There is a normal oven as well as wood-fired oven underneath the fireplace; so you can cook while you enjoy the flickering from an open fire. ---------------- You will find a reasonably well-stocked community pantry and a range of cooking oils etc. We work on an HONESTY system - we have faith that humankind is inherently good and want to do the right think and return generosity - please help us keep that faith. So - If you use the last of something (leaving a smidge in the bottle doesn't leave enough for the next guest so is the same as using the last ;) please replace it so there is enough for the next person. If use just a little of everything please contribute something to the pantry of similar value. ---------- Entertainment - there is a wall mounted 32' tv, with a DVD/Blu-ray player and a BOSE sound system. The Space20 minutes inland from idyllic Brunswick Heads, 35 minutes from the beaches of Byron Bay. The cabin itself is a unique space, right next to a tinkling creek, in lush and beautiful rainforest surroundings. There is no phone, no mobile reception, and no internet. The Little House is a true retreat from the online world. Guest AccessCabin is self-contained, but in an emergency guests would have access to the main house phone. Interaction with GuestsThe Little House is a private space, though we will be at the main house and you can have a chat on your way past! The NeighborhoodBurringbar is a quiet, sleepy town, but it does have it's own butcher, general store, mechanic, laundromat, hairdresser and pharmacy! It is only 20 minutes from the idylic Brunswick Heads. 35 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Byron Bay, and the amazing Blues Fest. 30 minutes from the lovely townships of Mullumbimby and Murwillumbah. And only 15 minutes from North Byron Parklands (the home of Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival). Getting AroundThere is no public transport here. Own car, or hire car, is essential. Other Things to NoteThere is no vehicle access directly to the cabin. You must park at the main house and walk about 200m down to the Little House through lush gardens. If you require help with your bags, this can be arranged. Also, please remember this is a true bush-getaway, with only an outdoor (hot water!) shower and an outdoor composting toilet. The cabin is situated in quite a forested area, so it is likely you'll experience some native wildlife. Possums, echidnas, and other smaller marsupials are often sighted in the surrounding bushland. There will also be some insect life, though we do our best to keep the cabin clear! Another thing to keep in mind is that the region of Northern NSW often experiences quite a wet, sometimes stormy summer. Obviously, this is variable, but it is definitely worth checking the weather forecast before you arrive, so you can come prepared. Be careful relying on a GPS to get here as we've had a few reports that they aren't very accurate in our area. Please look at our directions under 'Location.'

The SpaceAsk us for a 50% off the extra person rate, for children under 16. A self-contained (downstairs) apartment with 2 bedrooms, one with a/c, a large lounge/diner, mood lighting, spacious private deck with BBQ, gas hob in kitchen. If booking more than four guests we can open up an extra space (last picture) with two double beds, ask us to check availability. Guest AccessThe apartment is fully self-contained, and there are 6 acres of bushland, a pool and a dam with jetty. Interaction with GuestsYour privacy is respected, but we will (try to) be on hand to greet you and help make sure your stay is comfortable. The NeighborhoodViews for ever in a secluded bush setting, located between Cabarita Beach and Murwillumbah, which is a great little country town. Plenty of wildlife! Getting AroundA car or strong legs essential - no public transport. Other Things to NoteTo get here, take the Clothiers Creek Rd exit from the Freeway, signposted Cabarita/ Bogangar. Whether you are coming from the North or the South, the directions are the same: turn right at the roundabout onto Clothiers Creek Rd, follow this for about 7 minutes to the top of the hill, and Farrants Rd is on your right. We are the third house on the right, at the start of Doubleview Rd. If you follow a satnav, for some reason this will take you on a much lengthier route! There are supermarkets at Cabarita (Woolys) and Murwillumbah (Coles), both are about 12 minutes from here.

The SpacePerfect for private getaway or time out. Our studio is now available for guests as a generous one bedroom self contained apartment. We live on site in the separate main house. We are situated on a 1 acre (.4 hectare) block that is being planted with fruit trees according to broad permaculture principles. We eat our own vegies a lot of the time. We keep bees (honey and native), geese and chickens. The studio is detached from the main house but joined by a short covered walkway, so it is quite private. Pets aren't out of the question, it just depends on being outdoors and non destructive, so will discuss that option if required. Wireless internet is available for standard email functions (we have a limited download package so no movie downloads). We can also offer free local and national landline calls from the house VOIP phone. There is a sound system and TV or you can play some vinyl, audio tapes, CDs and radio. We are happy for you to use the washing machine if you need to catch up on washing while on the road. Just ask. We are: 5 minutes from Murwillumbah, 2 minutes from the Tweed Regional Art Gallery and cafe with the new Margaret Olley exhibition 45 minutes from Byron Bay, 35 mins the Gold Coast and the unspoilt Tweed Coast beaches 1.5 hours south of Brisbane Be aware that you could hear cows gentling lowing on the distance hill, kookaburra's do signal the approach of dawn, the geese may honk and the household chickens punctuate the day with news of the arrival on another egg. Dunbible - wotzat? "Aboriginal. Refers to djunbi tree, with suffix following (-ible) indicating there were many of these trees there. Also: a creek at the foot of a high mountain, is a descriptive rather than literal translation. (Richmond Tweed Regional Library. 1984)." Guest AccessSelf contained and spacious unit, grazing in the veggie garden and use of our laundry and BBQ if needed. Interaction with GuestsAs little or as much as you like. The studio is very private and not near our living areas. The NeighborhoodQuite semi rural neighborhood. Sometimes cattle noises across the valley, the odd kookaburra or other birds. We have chickens and geese. At some times of the year the geese can be a little boisterous. Getting AroundNot ideal without a car although we have had guests that walked to town (50 min) when we weren't able to drop them off.
