The SpaceThe building features Table Mountain sand stone walls. There is a open plan living area including kitchen- and dining area with a cozy open fire place. The bedroom is big with view into the fynbos wild protea/erica garden. Enjoy watching birds in the morning! The bathroom has a walk in shower. 2 private patios to sit under.Cars can be parked under a shaded net. I am offering breakfast and a home cooked meal in the evenings on request. Laundry service available. Ideal place to switch off and recharge your batteries, write poems, rehabilitate, take a walk in the mountains- there is a Nature Reserve next door with a beautiful mountain dam and a cave to visit. Lots of attractions and small towns & wine farms to discover in the area. Come and see for yourself! Guest AccessMy guests have access to the apartment which has a simple fitted kitchen with hob, oven and fridge/freezer. They can be total privacy if so wanted. Interaction with GuestsDepending on the guest I will leave everyone to decide how much space they need. I am there most of the time (next door) and will be happy to assist with laundry, cleaning service, shopping, or just making suggestions where to go and what to do. I offer hiking trips into the mountains and pack picnic baskets. The NeighborhoodMy neigbours are farmers and have vineyards, olive- and almond trees plus a herb drying factory and live just a couple of meters down the road. They have some friendly goats.... a bit further afield (3km) is a restaurant and farm stall that offers breakfasts and big lunches. Getting AroundThere is no public transport to Stormsvlei, I can however pick guests up wherever the public bus stops ( Riviersonderend or Swellendam). To get around in the area a private vehicle is essential. Other Things to NoteThe road to our farm is always in a bad shape. You can come here in a sedan but its a unpleasantly rocky road for a couple of hundred meters!

The SpacePrivacy and privacy :-) both places have their own private road and we encourage our guests to feel 100% free. Swimming in the pond or mountain stream is mesmerizing on a hot summer days., fishing , hiking, mountain biking stargazing all is possible Guest AccessThe Bushcamp and the fountain aren't in the same place. Both have their own private roads and we prefer the Bushcamp to be rented out to group minimum of 6 people. Should the group be bigger there is plenty of space for a tenth pitching. Either way no shared areas with others. The fountain house services 2 but 3 is durable. Very secluded. Please note the Bushcamp has communal kitchen and veranda and 6 wooden Aframe huts with bed and matrace in each . Sleep two in each hut. The fountain house is one bedroom 2 bathrooms and mobile kitchen unit. Interaction with GuestsWe welcome our guests and show them around. After that we do not disturb but we are around to help if needed. The NeighborhoodRiviersonderend is a farming community and the late back atmosphere is in the air. Dr 1306 is a dirt road leading to stormvlei and ideal for bikers with engines or without:-) rock pools to explore , pine forests. Peace and quiet:-) Getting AroundThe bus stop is in Riviersonderend about 9 km away from us . From CT international airport take the N2 to Riviersonderend. Drive through the village and about 7km still on the N2 you see sign DR1306. on your left . Take the dirt road and stay on for about 2 km. At the fork keep right for another 1km . See a house at the top of the hill with big dreamcatcher hanging on the tree and you home at Jongenskloof:-) Other Things to NoteWE ARE OFF THE GRID THERE ISN'T A FRIDGE IN THE BUSHCAMP cool your drinks in the river and bring your coolboxes. There is enough power to run lights and charge your cellphones though. The fountain house has power and a little fridge. The fountain house has bedding included in price , for the Bushcamp we only give bedsheets.
