The SpaceThe building features Table Mountain sand stone walls. There is a open plan living area including kitchen- and dining area with a cozy open fire place. The bedroom is big with view into the fynbos wild protea/erica garden. Enjoy watching birds in the morning! The bathroom has a walk in shower. 2 private patios to sit under.Cars can be parked under a shaded net. I am offering breakfast and a home cooked meal in the evenings on request. Laundry service available. Ideal place to switch off and recharge your batteries, write poems, rehabilitate, take a walk in the mountains- there is a Nature Reserve next door with a beautiful mountain dam and a cave to visit. Lots of attractions and small towns & wine farms to discover in the area. Come and see for yourself! Guest AccessMy guests have access to the apartment which has a simple fitted kitchen with hob, oven and fridge/freezer. They can be total privacy if so wanted. Interaction with GuestsDepending on the guest I will leave everyone to decide how much space they need. I am there most of the time (next door) and will be happy to assist with laundry, cleaning service, shopping, or just making suggestions where to go and what to do. I offer hiking trips into the mountains and pack picnic baskets. The NeighborhoodMy neigbours are farmers and have vineyards, olive- and almond trees plus a herb drying factory and live just a couple of meters down the road. They have some friendly goats.... a bit further afield (3km) is a restaurant and farm stall that offers breakfasts and big lunches. Getting AroundThere is no public transport to Stormsvlei, I can however pick guests up wherever the public bus stops ( Riviersonderend or Swellendam). To get around in the area a private vehicle is essential. Other Things to NoteThe road to our farm is always in a bad shape. You can come here in a sedan but its a unpleasantly rocky road for a couple of hundred meters!
