The SpaceThe flat is a 80 m2 open and bright family home, and has everything you need for a great stay in Oslo.
It is located in Stovner, a peaceful and green suburb of Oslo, just 30 min. from the airport, and also 30 min. from city centre.
The flat is on the bottom floor of an apartment building, and has a lovely garden with grass, decking and covered outdoor sofa and dining table. The sun sets on the hills right across from us, and has a fantastic atmosphere. We spend a lot of time there, especially in the summer.
The tiled and stylish bathroom is huge, with a corner hottub and a separate large shower. We also have a washing machine, and will provide washing powder.
The flat has one bedroom, which has a comfortable double bed (140 cm) and lots of wardrobe space.
In the inner part of the livingroom, there is an inflatable mattress where two persons can sleep. Note that there is only one bedroom in the flat.
The kitchen and livingroom is large and open. Our sofa is quite huge, and can easily fit another two guests if you are six persons travelling. We have a great wooden dining table that can fit at least 12 people, perfect for a fun and social dinner.
The kitchen has a big fridge and freezer, a stove, kettle, toaster, and other kitchen utencils you may need. We have a dishwasher, so no need to worry about who is doing the dishes. Feel free to use any of our spices, oils etc. We have also left plenty of other foodstuff for you to enjoy, like pasta, rice, tinned food, and you're welcome to use that if you want to cook. Guest AccessYou have a private garden. We have a baby cot if you are travelling with a child and want to borrow that. Interaction with GuestsWe are on holiday in Thailand with our little baby Victor (on parental leave), and will not be able to meet you. However, our amazing friend Gunnhild will provide you with keys and answer simple questions at arrival.
Veronica and Willfred willl answer questions by email, so if there is anything you want to know, contact us. There is a tourist information centre at the central train station if you need answers urgently during your stay. The NeighborhoodStovner is a multiethnic, friendly and calm neighbourhood. There is a shopping centre by the subwaystation with a great selection of shops. The Menygrocery shop is the best, Sultan by the subway station is the cheapest and friendliest. There is also a wine shop, hardware, hairdresser, clothing shops, electronics, kitchenware, pharmacy, gym - anything you may need is there.
The area is really green, with many possibilities for nice walks and hikes in the forest.
Green area just outside the building, there are plenty of sports possibilities, like golf, football, frisbeegolf, beach volleyball, basketball, cricket etc. in a few minutes walk from the flat. There is also a gym, Condis, at the shopping centre. Excellent if you want to play or exercise while here. Getting AroundThe easiest way to get to Oslo centre is by subway, and Stovner station is only 5 minutes walk away. The 5 line runs very frequently. From and to the airport, take the express bus to the Sveiva bus stop on Trondheimsveien, it is only a 15 minute walk there. Other Things to NoteWe have a cat (he is also on holiday, and will not be at the flat), so if you are allergic, it may be a problem as he normally lives there.
