The SpaceThis modern, converted flat is situated in the vibrant, arty suburb of Chorton, just outside of Manchester. The position of the apartment is nice and quiet but also very handy for all local amenities including independent shops, cafe's, bars and restaurants. It is a short stroll to the bus stop and tram station which easily take you into the city centre (15 minutes) and around Greater Manchester. The apartment is smart, stylish and very comfortable. The room itself is large and ideal for people who are travelling or in the city on business. Guest AccessGuests can have access to the whole apartment, including their own double bedroom, large communal bathroom and living area (including kitchen, dinning area, living room). The flat has a large balcony which guests can use whenever they wish, also wi-fi and any laundry facilities they may require during their trip. Interaction with GuestsI am a freelance drama teacher and so my weeks vary in terms of work. Therefore I am flexible to help people during their stay. I can leave you to it or be around as much as you need. I think airbnb is such a nice opportunity to meet other interesting people from around the world. The NeighborhoodChorlton is a really lovely suburb of Manchester, that prides itself on its independent businesses. There are lots of choices when it comes to eating/drinking out both in the day or evening, plus everything is within an easy walking distance from the apartment. Plus it is so handy and convenient to get into the city centre. Getting AroundPublic transport is great, very handy and extremely quick. The Space I always use the old fashioned word 'handsome' when describing my house. It is a 3 storey, bay fronted, 5 bedroom Victorian semi, with off-road parking. The interior is very simple, with white paintwork throughout, and stripped or painted floors. I am an artist, I work here, and the house kinda revolves around that. People tell me that my home is artistic and comfortable. Guests seem to like the artworks and blobs of dried paint as adds to the 'arty' atmosphere of the place. There is a strong feeling of space, light, and calm in the house: just imagine an artist's garret/studio (spread over 3 floors) with a sizeable pinch of zen! I enjoy having fun with the decor: like painting murals on walls, or removing doors to be replaced by drapey gauzy material, giving a more open-plan feel. ….. ……. just for the hell of it. It's theatrical and fun. Here I offer the master double-bedroom (en-suite dontcha know?!). Situated first floor front, with a lock and lovely bay windows, it has an airy, calm, spacious feel. In your room you'll find a variety of teas and coffee.....just ask if you require soya milk. I supply towels and shower/hairwashing necessities, a hair dryer, and a radio. There is Wi-fi throughout, and a television is available on request. You have full use of the large kitchen at all times. You would, however be required to wash up after yourself, please. You also have the use of any communal space of course. The rate £60 per night for full occupancy, and £45 per night for single occupancy, (with a minimum two night stay). The house is situated right in the heart of 'old' Chorlton, less than a minute's walk from the almost famous 'Beech Road' area with its galleries, bars/restaurants, cafés and alternative shops. Chorlton, once jokingly called 'the Left Bank' of Manchester, is simply brimming over with Musicians, Artists, Actors, Media People etc, which all makes for a very vibrant, bohemian atmosphere. I'm blessed with having Chorlton Ees less than 3 minutes walk from the door. Alternatively called 'The Meadows' it is a vast and varied cycling and dog-walking wild-life habitat. It includes the River Mersey, and is part of the Trans-Pennine Way. It holds TWO Water Parks within easy walking distance! The Ees is just perfect for an early morning run or walk. My house is approx. 4 miles from the centre of Manchester. The buses are frequent, and the newly arrived tram service only takes 12 minutes into the City. It's also well situated for the motorway (under 3 miles away) and Manchester Airport (15 to 20 minutes drive). If you are arriving by air, I would suggest getting a taxi here. Even though the airport is quite near, I'm afraid there isn't a direct public transport link with Chorlton. Shame. A taxi should cost round about £17 -£19, but it's well worth it. I provide a variety of cereals for breakfast (the FULL RANGE of Dorcet Cereals if you please!!!) .......just help yourself. Please let me know if you prefer soya or any other milk substitute. I am animal friendly, but alas not very child friendly. And sorry, no smoking in the house folks! I lead a blissfully quiet existence. I need a lot of mental space and time for my work, but having a bit of life and bustle around the place from time to time is great too. I try to keep a low profile, so that guests can have space and feel comfortable. I love Manchester, and am keen to help you enjoy your visit here so that YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO!

The SpaceI jokingly call this room 'Lakeside View'. While it does overlook a froggy pond in my court-yard garden, that isn't the reason for the name. Hopefully the name will be explained if you take a look at the accompanying photographs. It is a simple but ample single room ( 10'5'' x 10'5'' ) with a shared shower/bathroom (there is a toilet in the bathroom, and also a SEPARATE toilet for convenience……no pun intended ). The room has the usual necessities: large table to work at, DAB radio, comfy chair, hair dryer, towels and shower gel, and errr………a lakeside view. BUT PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE IS NO WIFI CONNECTION IN THIS ROOM, as unfortunately my BT broadband does not stretch to this section of the house. SO HUGE APOLOGIES. There is of course a kettle, with a wide variety of teas. Besides the normal 'builders tea' there may be camomile, green tea, rooibos, earl grey, fruit teas; plus a cafétier and ground coffee if Gold Blend just ain't good enough! The room is £34 per night. A variety of cereals (the FULL RANGE of Dorset Cereals if you please!!!) are provided for breakfast…………you'll find them in the guests own cupboard in the kitchen……….just help yourself. You have full use of the large kitchen any time you wish. It would however be fab if you washed, and cleared up after yourself though please. You also have the use of all communal space. The, house ( a handsome 5 bedroom Victorian semi ) is situated right in the heart of 'old' Chorlton, less than a minute's walk from the almost-famous 'Beech Road' area with its galleries, bars/restaurants, cafés and alternative shops. Chorlton, once jokingly called 'the Left Bank' of Manchester, is simply brimming over with Musicians, Artists, Actors, Media People etc, which all makes for a lovely vibrant, bohemian atmosphere. Cool, or what?!! I'm blessed with having Chorlton Meadows less than 3 minutes walk from my door. It is a vast and varied cycling and dog-walking wild-life habitat. It includes the River Mersey, and is part of the Trans-Pennine Way. It holds TWO Water Parks within easy walking distance, and is delightful for an early morning walk. My house is approx. 4 miles from the centre of Manchester. The buses are frequent, and the newly arrived tram service only takes 12 minutes into the City. It's also well situated for the motorway (under 3 miles away) and Manchester Airport (15 to 20 minutes drive). I am animal friendly, but alas not terribly child friendly. And sorry, no smoking in the house folks! This is a very quiet and peaceful (URL HIDDEN) noise, no kids, no telly…….Ommmmmmmmm. I am an artist; I need a lot of mental space and time for my work. But I also enjoy meeting lovely guests, and trying to supply them with a simple, restful space in which to exist for a short while. I endeavour to keep a 'low profile' so that guests may feel at ease and comfortable. I love Manchester, and am keen to help you enjoy your visit here so that YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO! O(URL HIDDEN)..and I hope my lovely guests will not mind, but I would respectfully like to reserve the right to relocate them to another room should circumstances dictate. All my rooms have a different, simple charm, so you should be equally happy and comfortable in any room. The SpaceBright, spacious room with lots of storage space including walk in closet. An HD LED television with SkyHD and all channels: movies/sports/arts/docs etc. Lovely songbirds can often be heard outside in the back garden, and a lot of suburban greenery can be seen from the bedroom window. Room is complete with integrated dressing table with mirror that can also serve as a desk. Electric fans are available if it's a really hot day, and the house can be made nice and toasty in an instant with its double glazing and awesome Worcester boiler! Getting AroundPerfectly located for the beautiful Longford Park with its petting zoo and ornamental gardens (1 minute walk). The vibrant Beech Rd is only 10 minutes walk, along with Chorlton town centre with its award winning shops & delis. We're a 10 minute walk from two tram stations and right by lots of bus stations. Furthermore, by car or taxi, we are 15 minutes from Salford Quays & MediaCityUk, Manchester Airport, Manchester Piccadilly Train Station and the two coach stations. Two of our past guests have told us that it is a straightforward and pleasant cycle to the city centre & Salford Quays/MediaCityUK - it takes around 15-20 minutes. The apartment is on the top floor so very quiet, light and airy and the street is quiet, leafy with parking outside or at the back secure with electronic gates. Getting AroundIt is an easy tram or bus journey into the city and takes literally 10 - 20 mins. Please note there is no lift in the apartment block but it is easy to access.

The SpaceI always use the old fashioned word 'handsome' when describing my house. It is a 3 storey, bay fronted, 5 bedroom Victorian semi, with off-road parking. The interior is very simple, with white paintwork throughout, stripped or painted floors. I am an artist, I work here, and the house kinda reflects around that fact. I enjoy having fun with the decor: like painting bits of murals on walls, or removing doors to be replaced by drapey gauzy material, giving a more open-plan feel. It's theatrical and fun. As well as a double-bedroom/ensuite (see other listing), I have this sweet, calm and atmospheric ATTIC ROOM with shared shower/bathroom facilities. The Attic Room has a three-quarter bed in it, so will accommodate two people at a push. I supply towels and shower necessities as well as a radio, hair dryer, a kettle, teas, coffee (and not just yer usual instant either!!) in all rooms. Wi-fi throughout, and a television is available on request You have full use of the large kitchen at all times. You would, however be required to wash up after yourself, please. You also have the use of any communal space of course. The room rate is £32 per night. The house is situated right in the heart of 'old' Chorlton, less than a minute's walk from the famous 'Beech Road' area with its galleries, bars/restaurants, cafés and alternative shops. The Ees is just perfect for an early morning walk or run. My house is approx. 4 miles from the centre of Manchester. The buses are frequent, and the newly arrived tram service only takes 12 minutes into the City. It's also well situated for the motorway (under 3 miles away) and Manchester Airport (15 to 20 minutes drive). I provide a variety of cereals for breakfast, which you'll find in the kitchen…….just help yourself. If you require soya, just let me know. I am animal friendly, but alas not terribly child friendly. And sorry, no smoking in the house folks! I lead a blissfully quiet existence. I need a lot of mental space and time for my work, but having a bit of life and bustle around the place from time to time is great too.I endeavour to keep a 'low profile' so that guests may feel at ease and comfortable. I love Manchester, and am keen to help you enjoy your visit here so that YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO! Oh . .. … . and I hope my lovely guests will not mind, but I would respectfully like to reserve the right to relocate them to another room should circumstances dictate. All my rooms have a different, simple charm, so you should be equally happy and comfortable in any room. This room alteration would be for the ENTIRE STAY, not mid-stay, so there will be no disruption Interaction with GuestsI like to interact with guests just as MUCH or as little as they want. I will be around most of the time doing lots of lovely busy-landlady-stuff, and am always happy to chat and hear as many stories about my guests as they want to share. It is the best part of the lovely Airbnb experience . .. .. .. .. .

The SpaceWe are a small guest-house, formerly a shared house, ideal for a small group. Not suitable for hen parties I'm afraid! Individual rooms in this property are also listed with Airbnb and, since my guests often extend their stay, it is not always possible for me to accept bookings for the whole property at short notice but give us a try! We offer comfortable accommodation at a fair price. We are not a super 'vacation' standard guest house, more shabby/tatty/chic. The property is c.160 years old, in need of a spot of repair/redecoration and, like me at my great age, in need of some TLC (tender, loving care). Guests are expected to clear up after themselves. If using the kitchen to prepare meals any spillage should be cleaned (hob, oven, toaster, table). Guest AccessThe property has a total of 5 bedrooms: only 3 of those rooms, each with 1 double/small double bed and 1 single bed, are available. Guests have use of a television lounge and dining kitchen on the ground floor. I have my own lounge, also on the ground floor. But I live pretty much at the top of the house when I'm home. I also have Helpxers staying from time to time to help out.
