The SpaceWe've just finished renovations so just now putting the house up on Airbnb. Be the first to stay here and enjoy a steep discount!
Just 12-15 minutes from the shops and bustle of Hudson, this 3BR sits on 7 acres and has light everywhere: views of the Hudson, floor-to-ceiling windows, beautifully appointed furniture, and a beautiful old barn out back.
Hardwood floors throughout, sky-high ceilings, and two porches -- one enclosed out back, one not. Three large bedrooms (one that's used as a den but with a pull-out queen bed) on upper level with three newly-renovated bathrooms. Large, open kitchen, dining room, living room, and library -- with fireplaces in each room. Property is on a bluff, surrounded by woods and farmland. Great for a couple or entertaining a group. Full floor to ceiling windows look out onto the Hudson River, with breathtaking Hudson Valley sunsets and views.
We are less than a mile walk down the road to the old Stuyvesant train station and river landing, with access to the Hudson River -- go swimming, or just sit out and watch the river flow.
One note: the house is recently-renovated (using all period detail), and the master bathroom is still missing a sink and cabinetry (though there is another, fully functional half-bathroom steps away).
The house comfortably sleeps six, and eight if need be -- one king bed in the master bedroom, a double in the second bedroom, a pull-out queen in the third, and a very comfortable couch.
One note: the house is recently-renovated, and the fixtures in the kitchen aren't quite done (see photos for details). As much as we love animals, we're terribly allergic, so no pets. Guest AccessThe entire house is yours! Includes a fully stocked library of books, great wi-fi, a piano, 46" TV with DVD player, central heating, and full laundry room with washer/dryer. All new systems in place. Lovely living inside or out.
Note: We've recently completed renovations. A few things are not yet finished, most notably the master bath is still missing a sink and cabinetry. Interaction with GuestsWe will leave the keys and it's yours to explore. Should you need anything, we'll be in touch with a neighbor to help. The NeighborhoodThe house is just a 12-15 minute drive from the shops and excitement of Hudson, NY -- and close to Great Barrington, Albany, and in the heart of the Hudson Valley. And those river views! Getting AroundIt's easiest to drive here, but you could take Amtrak to the Hudson station (directly from Penn Station in the city) and take a cab up. Other Things to NoteWith the beautiful barn out back, old-growth trees, and unimpeded river views, you'll feel like you're in another time.
