Experience the Super Bowl in Person

Phoenix Home Rentals Soar in Popularity for Super Bowl Parties

While it would be great to go witness the Super Bowl in Arizona this year, it's a huge cost to actually get into the stadium and watch the game unfold live. However, with the experience on television being arguably better than in person, why not go to Phoenix and take part in the event without the lines and $15 beers?

What is becoming a new fad is to rent out a house, apartment, or upscale hotel nearby and experience the festivities the week beforehand, then watch the actual game with their friends on the big screen TV. It makes sense - you'll have the amenities, space and style to throw a large party in the area and still get the feel of the event.

There are hundreds of people in the area advertising their high-end homes for the occasion. Some are within walking distance of the game, some on golf courses, and some right in the thick of downtown. Of course you can search all of them at once on AllTheRooms. We are still seeing over 1200 homes and 180 hotels offering great rates around the game.

So why rent a house? The Super Bowl isn't just a Sunday pastime anymore it's a week-long festival worthy of taking a vacation for. There are dozens of events throughout the entire week preceding the game.

Here is a sample of events encompassing the game:

  •    - NFL Experience (Jan 24-Feb 1)
  •    - 2015 Pro Bowl (Jan 25)
  •    - Media Day (Jan 27)
  •    - Super Bowl XLIX-Indian Festival (Jan 29-31)
  •    - 4.9K Fun Run / The Valor & Victors 5K (Jan 31)
  •    - Taste of the NFL (Jan 31)
  •    - Super Bowl Celebrity Golf Classic (Jan 31)
  •    - And much more...

A highlight is the Pro Bowl coming to Arizona. Your team might not have made it to the big game but you can still watch them reach for glory one last time this season. However, our favorite is The NFL Experience that runs from January 24-February 2. There is a slew of football-themed games for fans to take part in, including an obstacle course, quarterback challenge, kid's training camp, and more. One of the coolest things is the mobile football hall of fame where there will be mementos from the history of the NFL.

While we still don't know who will be playing that Sunday, there will certainly be a buzz around the Phoenix area and it's a memorable once-in-a-lifetime experience any true football fan can take part of. You don't need tickets to the game to really make it a memorable experience.
