The SpaceThe Clubhouse is a 900 sq. ft. apartment above a garage on five acres. In addition to a private bedroom, there is a living room and roomy kitchenette. We do not have a stove in the kitchenette, but we do have a microwave, broiler/oven, toaster, electric skillet, induction hot plate and full size frig. There is a queen size bed and a futon couch that folds out to a bed. We can also have a fold out single bed available. Play a game of pool on the parlor-size pool table. A table hockey table and several board games are also available. Select a DVD to watch from the DVD library or just sit around the table and chat. Our goal is to make you feel like you are at home while having a place to kick back and have fun. There's lots to do! We are five minutes from the beautiful town of Poulsbo, 20 minutes from Bainbridge Island and the ferry to Seattle, and just 1 1/2 hour to the heart of the Olympic National Park. We are 45 minutes from Pt. Townsend. We are also close by to lovely trails and beaches on the Kitsap Peninsula. Guest AccessGuests can stroll around our 5 acres or lounge in chairs outside. Interaction with GuestsI will interact as much as our guests want to. If they need anything special, we will do our best to help provide it. The NeighborhoodWe are only 5 minutes from Poulsbo and many beautiful trails. We think Poulsbo is one of the neatest small towns in the United States. It has many cute stores and restaurants as well as a beautiful waterfront park. Getting AroundIf you don't want to take your car to Seattle, you can park it at the ferry or one of the park and ride lots away from the ferry and walk over. There is great public transportation in Seattle. Other Things to NoteWe are not allowing children under 12 years of age at this time. However, we might consider on an individual basis, especially babies. We have a dog. He's a big yellow lab with three legs. He has a deep bark, but he is friendly. He's just telling you, "Hi, this is my place. Give me a pat."

The SpaceThe layout is a modern treehouse; the angles and ceiling height echoes the trees in which is sits. The colors are soothing. Every inch of space is utilized so it embraces you in a cozy, calming way. Trails behind the TreeHouse lead to a very quiet street with farms, a forest reserve. A half mile walk leads to a small commercial corner featuring the beloved "Bay Hay & Feed", a nursery/feed store/gift shop/and mini REI! There's also a P.O., coffee shop, Jiffy Mart, and amazing Italian market with homemade pasta & sauces. Guest AccessI usually leave the door open for my guests since this is a safe, private, rural neighborhood. If its not open, use the lockbox Interaction with GuestsI live next door in the main house, about a hundred feet away, attached by a covered wood end breezeway. So I'm here for my guests if needed. I enjoy meeting people so don't hesitate to say hello. If I'm around, I'll stop by and show you the ropes, and answer any questions I can. The NeighborhoodIn addition, up the street about 2 miles is Fay Bainbridge Park. It's a beautiful stretch of beach with wonderful driftwood, fields for running your dog, and BBQ pits for picnics. Also nearby is a winery and local farm. And Winslow is a great town for meals, movies, wine tasting, shopping and more. This is a non-smoking apartment. Getting AroundYou can avoid a rental car at SeaTac. Take the Light Rail to Pioneer Square, then walk to Colman Dock for the ferry. On this side, there is a bus line - the #96, running only during commuter hours. There's also taxis on the isle and perhaps Uber or Lyft. (Not sure.) I'll pick you up if I can. Just let me know. Downtown Winslow is 20 minutes by bike. I have a road bike (needing bike shoes) and touring bike, but I'm 5'6", so factor that in. You can rent bikes at "The Bike Barn" right off the ferry in the bus lot. Keep in mind, the isle is hilly so you'll get a workout! Rental cars are available in Poulsbo, 20 min north of the isle if you decide to drive. Other Things to NoteWA State and local occupancy taxes total 11%. This is not listed as a line item, but is reflected in the nightly rate. * Actual rates are $115 weeknights & $125 Friday & Saturday. * Recent cancellations on my part were an anomaly due to fallen tree damage. The building is being renovated and ready again Summer 2016.

The SpaceOur cottage was once a boat house that has been lovingly re-modeled to provide a comfortable living space while still retaining the home's original charm. It sits on the Sand Spit, a narrow peninsula of beach houses with water on both sides. Guest AccessWe have a private dock complete with a double kayak and paddle board. Stroll over to Fay Bainbridge Park to one of the best beaches on the island! Interaction with GuestsIf you have questions about the our cottage feel free to email us. We can also provide you with a detailed itinerary of things to do on Bainbridge and in Seattle! The NeighborhoodPoint Monroe is a unique neighborhood on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Located on the northeastern end of the island, just north of Fay Bainbridge State Park, Point Monroe, also known as "the Sandspit," is a thin strip of land that wraps around a saltwater lagoon. There are over 50 homes on the Sandspit, many of which—because of the thinness of the spit—have two waterfronts - one behind the house, and one in front of it and across the road. Getting AroundOur cottage is approximately 12 minutes from the Bainbridge-Seattle Ferry and approximately 12 minutes from the Agate Pass bridge to Poulsbo and beyond. Other Things to NoteThere are many things to do on Bainbridge Island. Most of our shops and restaurants are located ten minutes away in downtown Winslow or at the Lynwood center. However we have an amazing Italian take-out or sit down restaurant not far from our home called Via Rosa. Tell Pino the owner that Dinah sent you.

Tallelyset II is on peaceful water as the tides rise and ebb. There the evening is quiet and the night deep, a marvelous place to relax with loved ones or by oneself. The air is fresh and crisp, great for taking a canoe out and see the world from a new angle, but just as fun to take a long walk along the beach. Our home comes with a canoe (and 3 adult PFD), which can be launched directly from the yard. Guests are welcome to use the canoe at their own risk. Pets will be considered.
