The SpaceThe bedroom with a double bed faces to the east and you will be welcomed each day with a glorious morning sky through the trees, and often lovely ocean breezes. At night, see the moon from the windows, and often one may be soothed by the tides rolling in and out as you fall asleep. Guest AccessEnjoy the lovely screened porch partially shaded from the 350 year old magical oak tree to lounge in or enjoy your tea/coffee. In the front of house is an herb garden where you may relax in comfy chairs under the maple tree. From the porch you will enjoy the lovely morning sky and in the evening beautiful views of the sunset through the backyard trees. The moon is clearly visible from the front house steps, front and side yard and porch. Not to be missed are walks to the beaches in the evening to view the amazing sunsets, moon rise and stars! Enjoy the beautiful Swampscott coast. There is an electric kettle in the kitchen for your use so you may enjoy morning or evening coffee and tea on the porch. There is a microwave for your use so feel free to bring in take out food (please do not bring pork or shellfish into the home) to enjoy on the lovely glass table on the porch. Interaction with GuestsWe will be here to greet you and be happy to offer recommendations for tourist sites, favorite beaches, cafes and transportation. The NeighborhoodOur home neighborhood is an exquisite ocean point location. The location is called Phillips Point; an area that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean - at the end of the lane are the three mansions estate homes with private cliffs over the ocean. You can view the Atlantic ocean as you stroll along. You are just a few minutes walk to several secluded and private beaches, a quaint fishing and sailing harbor with a long walkable pier jutting out into the ocean, bakeries, ice-cream shops, Paulina's homemade Italian food, Thai, Chinese, amazing fish restaurants, pizza, organic cafes, wine shop, French collectibles shop, awesome surf shop to rent surfboards and shop, a gorgeous charming town center gazebo that is lit up at night; all easily walkable from the home! There is a wonderful promenade winding along the beach road for miles a short walk amor the house pasty a few beaches and then there you are on the promenade; great for walking, jogging and bike riding. Ideal location to visit Boston, Salem, Rockport, Gloucester, Cambridge! A couple of miles up the coast brings you to Old Town Marblehead and Marblehead Harbor with quaint shops, art galleries, the Barnacle restaurant for their famous clam chowder and fish, and to Marblehead Neck; an island connected by a short walkable sandbar/road that takes you to beautiful Castle Rock, the Lighthouse park, and a wonderful Massachusetts Bird Sanctuary with lovely habitat, and trails winding around a pond. Historic Salem is just a few minutes drive. There are many wonderful restaurants and bistros walking distance from our home or a short drive, and a Whole Foods a few minutes drive, to find delicious sit down meals and prepared take out. It is also a great location for a day trip to Cape Cod in the Summer or for hiking or downhill and cross-country skiing to Southern N.H., Southern Maine, or Western/Central Ma. Getting AroundSwampscott boasts Uber, local taxis, convenient buses and a convenient commuter train/rail that is just a quick 20 minute ride South into wonderful Boston and a few minutes north to famous Salem! A quick bus brings you to catch the train to Boston. But if you want to stay local you can walk the lovely beach road to beaches, cafes etc. There are benches on the ocean at each beach and along the long promenade to sit, gaze at the ocean or read and relax. Otherwise a quick bus brings you to the train to Boston or up the coast. Only 20 minutes from Logan Airport! Other Things to NoteThe property is allergy free, organic inside and outside.
