The SpaceThis house was build in 1940s by the owner of the supermarket which is next door. I have been renovating for a while to create a space where I can welcome artists and visitors, a space where I can share my work with Balinese masks. There is still a bit of work to do on the house and by staying you'll help be in continuing with this project. In spite of the fact that we are in the middle of the village, the place is rather quiet; you can see Mt Arthur soaring above you and … call you…invite you to explore nature. Also the Lilydale falls are not far and gardens and vineyards are various in the area. If you like the idea of seeing the forest from above I recommend to try the TreeTops Adventure experience at just over 5 minutes drive from Lilydale. The Lavender Farm is at 10 min circa drive towards and the goat cheese farm could a very tasteful stop on its way. More to see before heading off to Bridport or Bay of Fire. Contact me for further info on the area. There are two rooms available. One room is an ensuite with a double bed with a spring mattress. this room sleeps no more than 2 people. If you need to book for more people the second room need to be booked https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/2420687. The bathroom of the second room is just at 3 steps away. This second room has a double size futon (wool and cotton futon), great for those who love a strong support. You are welcome to use the kitchen and use the indoor and outdoor space as you please. Great organic coffee and tea will be available all day and if I'll be at home I'll be happy to share my breakfast with you… and you can receive a full training in using an Italian moka/coffee machine…including how to clean it. Yes you can use that too, just like everything else in the kitchen. Currently I do have a small fridge, but the supermarket is next door; we do not really need to store food. Also my garden will be your garden; help yourself with whatever is in season including raspberry, strawberry and blubbery. Sometimes I'll be away on tour, so we may not be able to meet; someone else will take care of you. Please, let me know if you wish to be at the Lilydale House only if I'll be at home. In the latter case my interaction with you depends on you; If you need help, information I'm going to be there for you; if you wish an "Italian Made Coffee" I'll be there for you as well, if you wish to receive the essential logistic information only, I'll do that too. Keep informed, keep in touch by liking the Lilydale House (website hidden) page (website hidden) This is the real CBD of the village; next to the supermarket; 3 minutes away from the Memorial Hall- site of the monthly Lilydale Village Market (every second Sunday) and the Court House- home of the Art&Craft Coop . 30 seconds from the take-away, the post office, the hairdresser, and the masseur/herbalist. 45 seconds from the pharmacy and 2 minutes from the coffee shop/restaurant/pub and the petrol station. All in a beautiful valley, on a road adorned by beautiful painted poles (thanks to the Lilydale Arts) and surrounded by green mountains. Public transport is once a days from and to Launceston. If you are not driving, please contact me for details. I do not have TV or land line. I use my mobile phone for all my communications. If you need internet you can use our public library or online internet centre, at 5 minutes walk. Both Telstra and Optus have a good range if you have a 3G or 4G phone. 2G may not work.
