    The SpaceTambo Tranquillity is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast with a private and quiet accommodation wing for up to 5 adults - Our first guest bedroom has a queen sized bed, 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds & single trundle (all innerspring mattresses), 1 bathroom and WC/powder room. Clean linen and towels provided. Extremely quiet for relaxing in at the end of a busy day. Complimentary tea, coffee making facilities. Complimentary self serve continental breakfast (cereal, toast with butter & homemade jams, tea/coffee). Conservatory has a small kitchenette - fridge/freezer, microwave & tea/ coffee making facilities complete with settee and dining setting. Our conservatory opens onto a large decked area with BBQ and leading into our beautiful gardens. Enjoy strolling through out numerous gardens and lounging in the sun on the decking. Our guests also have access to our modern gourmet kitchen to prepare meals - please bring your own food supplies and please clean up after yourself. Our home is secluded and extremely quiet - enjoy the stars at night. Our guests always comment on how comfortably the queen bed is and how quiet it is. Enjoy sleeping with your window open to let in the country air - such pampering, it's so easy to sleep in!! Swan Reach, Victoria is home to several "open gated" farms where you can visit and purchase fresh fruits as well as 3 boutique wineries. There are several walking/cycling tracks here and of course the Tambo River is also a great attraction for fishing and boating. There's massive bird life along the river (as well as dolphins sometimes). As we live in a rural community you can often see lots of native wildlife. We chose Swan Reach to live in as it has the tranquil atmosphere we were looking for as well as being so central to the larger towns/cities for shopping, entertainment and restaurants. Lakes Entrance, which is only 10 min drive is a fascinating tourism attraction and grows from 6,000 permanent residents to around 60,000 in the summer. Swan Reach is a small rural village on PRINCES HIGHWAY - our home is 0.5km off the Princes Hwy; 10 min to Lakes Entrance, 5 min to Metung; 8 min to Bruthen and 20 min to Bairnsdale by car. Great stop over on the way to either Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra , Eden or Bright. Lakes Entrance is a fantastic and popular tourist location - water based activities; forest activities; cycling track 100km between Bairnsdale & Orbost. Guest AccessOur guests are like family members during their stay. You are very welcome to join us of an evening or alternatively there are enough living rooms in our home for you to spend the evening privately. Interaction with GuestsDepending upon your wishes, complete privacy, or if you prefer supportive hosts, we are more than willing to assist our guests in any way possible. We have lots of tourism suggestions (books and maps available) and are willing to help make your stay with us most enjoyable. The NeighborhoodGreat location to base yourself for a few days holidays enjoying water based activities; exploring the forests by foot/cycling (rail trail) or in the winter spending a day in the snow only 2 hours away. Our surroundings are beautiful, we live on approx 1/2 acre of land with has lots of native trees and plants. There are plenty of walks. A 10 minute walk will get you to the river and a 30 minute walk will get you to the East Gippsland Rail Trail. Surf 10 minutes drive and boating is 5 minutes drive to Johnsonville Jetty/boat launching. Tambo River has lots of fishing spots. We are situated a short distance from Princes Highway and Great Alpine Road. Situated in a quiet court surrounded by lush native gardens with the sounds of birds in the background. Friendly and quiet neighbourhood where the majority of the neighbours are either retired or semi retired. Great local eateries including hotels, restaurants and pizza takeaways. Courtesy bus service to/from the 2 local hotels. Within an easy drive to Lakes Entrance to enjoy a variety of cuisines, charter boat trips and cruising on the beautiful east gippsland lakes system. If you enjoy bush walking there are bush tracks within walking distance from our home. (URL HIDDEN) Getting AroundWe live in a rural setting on the outskirts of Swan Reach. There's off street parking for vehicle and your boat and/or caravan; public transport and local general store 0.5km by footpath. Public Transport connects with Bairnsdale Train Station. Bus service to Sydney and Canberra. Local taxi service is available as well as rental cars. Easy access to the East Gippsland Rail Trail for bikers and those who enjoy walking. We are centrally located with direct access to Lakes Entrance (18km) and Bairnsdale (25km); Metung (8km) and Bruthen (18km). Local access to boat ramp on Tambo River, Johnsonville (3km) and Lake King, Metung (8km). Lakes Entrance and Bairnsdale are our most local shopping centres have a variety of stores including Woolworths, Target along with several boutique stores and restaurants. We suggest you purchase your food supplies in either Bairnsdale or Lakes Entrance on the way to us especially if you are arriving later in the day and not wishing to go shopping after your arrival. Alternatively we can by prior arrangement purchase on your behalf a basic food shop. Please ask us for more details regarding this service. Other Things to NoteSwan Reach is a small Village located beside the Tambo River situated on the Princes Highway between Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance, Victoria . We are ideally positioned near the surrounding protected waters of the Gippsland Lakes (400 square klms) and is a comfortable 3.5 hour drive or train trip from Melbourne. Swan Reach is close to rivers, forests, lakes, ocean and high country (snow in winter within a couple of hours) with activities including boating, fishing, swimming, surfing, bush walking/hiking, cycling, 4WD and/or just relaxing on the nearby beaches. You may choose to visit some of the many galleries, the food trail, wineries or hire a boat or embark on a cruise aboard one of the boats that leave Metung or Lake Entrance. It is not uncommon to observe a pod of dolphins feeding in the lakes and even the Tambo river. Explore nearby Villages and their shops and restaurants. We guarantee you will enjoy our region's natural environs. Two bedrooms feature trilogy bunks (double bed with single up top), with the fourth bedroom offering a king coil king size bed or the option of two single beds.     The SpaceThe duplex is very clean and comfortable with lovely hillside views from the bedroom windows. It is connected to the main house, but is a separate living space. You have access to the front and back verandah. The house is on 3 acres of land and is very quiet. There is ample parking for cars and boats. A great place for a holiday or a stop over during your travels. The rural location will ensure a quiet night sleep. If you only require one bedroom, the 2nd bedroom will not be available. If 2 people want to use 2 bedrooms, please book for 3 people as an extra $15 is required for washing the linen. The East Gippsland Rail Trail is close by and is a great trail for walking and cycling. Getting AroundTo travel around the area would be challenging without a vehicle. Other Things to NoteLGBTI guests are welcome. Children will love the open space for play, but we do not allow pets. Tea, coffee and milk provided. Price is for 2 people using one bedroom. Additional guests - $15 per night each. The apartment key is a security key and costs $100 to be replaced. If the key is not returned there will be a charge of $100 against the security deposit.

    The SpaceThe house has been recently renovated inside so feels fresh and clean but still has the charm and character of a country farm house. There are four bedrooms in total so it's ideal for families or larger groups looking for a bit more space. The master bedroom has it's own en suite and there are another two separate bathrooms plus an internal laundry you're welcome to use. Enjoy dining out under fairy lights on the large outdoor deck after cooking up a storm on the wood fire pizza oven (we'll supply the wood) or the BBQ. The heated outdoor spa is the perfect place for relaxing and stargazing after dinner or enjoying a glass of wine at sunset. If you fancy a dip in the Gippsland Lakes or a spot of fishing they are only a four minute drive away and as a guest at Country House Retreat you are welcome to use the private Nungurner jetty. The house is fully wheelchair accessible and if you would like to bring your pets they are also welcome if clean and well behaved. Guest AccessThe house is fully self contained and available only to be rented as a whole, so you will have full and exclusive access to the property during your stay. Interaction with GuestsOur house is located approximately 300 metres from Country House Retreat so we will welcome you on arrival and are close by if needed, but give you all the space and privacy you need to enjoy your trip. The NeighborhoodNungurner is a 10 minute drive from Metung and 15 minutes from Lakes Entrance so you can easily pop in to get all the supplies you need during your stay, but enjoy being away from the holiday crowds. There are always weekend markets on in the region and beautiful beaches and bushland to explore which we will be happy to point you in the direction of. There are also some fantastic biking trails in our neighbourhood if you're seeking some adventures on two wheels during your stay. Getting AroundPlease note you will need a car as public transport and taxis are not readily available in Nungurner.

        The SpaceWe offer a unique experience staying in our beautiful tranquil round earth house which accomodate a 8 The house was built by two women 20 years ago they put their love and artistic talents to use to create this stunning house with stained glass features paved floors and hand carved features throughout It is truly a place to relax and soak up the tranquility Guest AccessThe property is a stunning park like setting Landscaped with a variety of beautiful Autumn trees A picture as dam offers a place to try kayaking in a safe environment for the kids Kyan's and life jackets supplied We have two miniature ponies which is a great experience for those who are so inclined Along with the farm experience there are chick eggs to be collected each day and guests are welcome to use any of the fresh produce available at the time Enjoy a Bon fire burn off when suitable conditions at night toasting marshmallows on the coals There is loads more to enjoy and I will continue to update in coming weeks Interaction with GuestsIt's up to you we are friendly and enjoy meeting new people but if you prefer your privacy you don't have to interact more than a friendly wave in passing

There is lots of space, with a large, separate living room and a big eat in kitchen, as well as the big undercover back verandah looking on to the garden. Interaction with GuestsWe don't live on site, but are available by phone should you have any questions during your stay. The NeighborhoodBruthen is a vibrant little community which is on the cross roads of the Great Alpine Rd, linking the mountains with the sea, and the Princes Hwy which takes the coastal road between Sydney and Melbourne. Good places to eat, a couple of little galleries, a microbrewery, the 100 km East Gippsland Rail Trail, walking tracks linking the village to the river and surround forest as well as frequent arts events and festivals make this a beautiful spot for a short break. Getting AroundBruthen is best reach by car, for those travelling the Great Alpine Rd, or Princes Hwy, or by bike, for those cycling the East Gippsland Rail Trail. The Rail Trail starts in Bairnsdale ( 30 km west of Bruthen) and finishes in Orbost ( 70 km to the east). As we are also a cycle tour company, we can hire you bikes and provide return transport if you'd like to include some pedalling on your trip.

Our Farm Retreat is set on a 130 acres of farmland only 10 minutes from Bairnsdale, the nearest large town. We are in a rural area just 3Km off the main highway, the Great Alpine Road. Mulhollands Road is a quiet country road, which dead-ends in our property. The property is elevated and from the accommodation, falls away steeply to farmland below and the Gippsland Lakes beyond. From this central location it is just a short drive to the Lakeside towns of Lakes Entrance, Metung and Paynesville.

            The SpaceThe accommodation is a converted Dairy. The dairy was built in the early 1940's and the conversion give it an Irish cottage feel. There are three bedrooms available. Two rooms with Queen beds and one with a single. There is space for a blow up bed if required. There is a separate lounge, kitchen, bathroom. A rear patio with excellent relaxing rural views. The accommodation is only let out to one couple or family at a time. As stated in the costing a couple is $130 a night and extra people $25 per person. The unit could accommodate additional people if required. Once your booking is confirmed you can contact and discuss this with your hosts. Breakfasts and BBQ are available if needed. Just ask. Guest AccessGuests have access to all parts of the unit. Guests (depending on the booking) are only expected to use one bedroom whilst their stay. Additional guests are welcome under the conditions already highlighted. There is a full kitchen and all cooking facilities available. All guests should feel free to access the extensive grounds around the unit and farm let. There are animals on the farm chickens, goats, dogs a miniature horse which all love to be patted and fed. Interaction with GuestsThe accommodation is situated on a family farm. We will be available to all guest for information and attending to many requests for service. We like our relaxed lifestyle and would be available during reasonable hours for any enquiries that guests may have. The NeighborhoodThe area is rural but walks in local area are plentiful and safe. A few kilometers away you can access the Gippsland Rail Trail for extensive walks viewing wildlife and flora of the Gippsland Region. Plus extensive State Forrest that leads to historical gold fields. Getting AroundA vehicle is need as we are about 17ks (10 minutes) east of Bairnsdale. Lakes Entrance is about 50ks (30 minutes) further east. Access to all the Gippsland Lakes system is close by. Visits to Raymond Island, Paynesville, Metung and other areas are all within a half hour drive. If required buses and rail services are available from main centres 7 days per week. Other Things to NoteThe accommodation is situated on the Great Alpine Road Sarsfield 7 K's from Bruthen. This is the entry to the High Country and Snow Fields, the Rivers and Lakes of the East Gippsland Region. The access to the State Forest and bushwalking is just across the road. Fishing, cycling, boating and all outdoor activities are on our doorstep. You are only limited by your lack of desire to explore the region. Visits by the local wildlife to the property is regular - kangaroos, echidna, wombats and a variety of bird life - day and night occurs everyday.

            Bruthen Cottage is comfortable three bedroom timber cottage in the country village of Bruthen in East Gippsland, at the junction of the Great Alpine Road and the (alternate) Princes Highway. The cottage is a splendid place to stop and rest while cycling the East Gippsland Rail Trail, exploring the Great Alpine Road or the Sydney Melbourne Coastal Drive, travelling to and from Mt Hotham’s ski fields or just looking for a quiet place to recharge for a few days. The front verandah overlooks the lush farmland of the Tambo River valley, while the spacious back patio looks into the large private garden. Inside the freshly renovated cottage has a calm, welcoming feel with polished timber floorboards, contemporary furniture, large living room with fireplace, huge kitchen/ dining room (with a bit of retro feel), 2 bathrooms, separate toilet and three bedrooms. Bruthen is a delightful village perched above the meandering Tambo River, with a wide treed village green down the centre of the main street which is lined with good places to eat. It is on the doorstep of both the Gippsland Lakes and the Victorian Alps: it is nicely placed between Melbourne (3 hours drive to the west), the gorgeous South Coast of NSW (3 hours to the east) and Canberra (5 hours to the north). Rooms and facilities Bruthen Cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 also has laundry), separate toilet, living room, eat in kitchen, large covered outdoor area, garage and off street parking. The cottage comes provided with all bedding and towels. Bedroom 1: 1 x QS bed, chair which folds out to comfortable full sized single bed. (sleeps couple or 2 singles) Bedroom 2: 1 x bunk bed, plus single bed. (sleeps 3 as singles) Bedroom 3: 2 x single beds, or 1 x king size bed. ( sleeps 2 singles or 1 couple) Kitchen/ eating. A huge room reminiscent of a farmhouse kitchen, with a bit of a retro feel. Kitchen equipment and provisions include: Reverse cycle air conditioning - new May 2016 • Full sized electric stove and oven • Microwave • Coffee maker • Pots, pans, baking ware, microwaveable containers, utensils • Electric kettle, 4 slice toaster • Crockery and cutlery • Coffee, real and instant; tea – leaf and herbal teas; teapot. For real tea. • Basic provisions: extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar; a little muesli, cereal, flour, pasta and rice. Milk in the fridge. ( let us know if you prefer soy to cow) Bruthen has an excellent butcher, a bakery and a general store that sells everything from red wine to fencing wire. Between them you can buy a few basics and with the provisions in the cottage easily put together a quick and simple meal at home. Living room: Comfortable squashy sofa and seats, Reverse cycle air conditioning - new May 2016, open fire, TV, DVD and sound system (CD, radio, Ipod and MP3/4 compatible) Solid sofa bed folds out to double (sleeps single or couple). This becomes a private bedroom with the living room a separate room off the hallway – not open plan. Bathroom 1: Newly built, with shower, hand basin and toilet. Bathroom 2 / laundry. Bath/ shower, hand basin, large washing machine and laundry tub. Toilet. As stated. Garage. Undercover parking, accessed from the side street. Not lockable. Access: The front door of the property is accessed from a verandah five steps above street level. The rear door of the property is one step up from the back patio, which is one step up from the garden path. The rear door is accessed from the street via a moderately sloping concrete path beside the house, with about three metres over level grass to the step onto the verandah. Access via the garage at the back of the house is via an uneven grassed walkway for about 20 metres, followed by four metres of concrete path. The cottage is on one level throughout the interior. Booking terms and conditions We ask for a 20% non refundable deposit on booking to confirm and hold your booking. The balance of payment is due one month prior to your stay. Cancellations. If you cancel your booking one month or more before your stay, your 20% deposit is non refundable. One final payment is made one month prior to your stay it is non refundable, but may be transferred to another booking at our discretion.

            Country House Retreat is a unique rural homestead, nestled on 50 acres of countryside just minutes from Lakes Entrance and Metung, but a world away from the holiday crowds. You will be swept away by the experience this secluded country home offers –set up for couples, families and friends to enjoy country living with coastal beaches, tourist villages and the magnificent Gippsland Lakes in close proximity. The contemporary home features a large entertainment deck with pizza oven, BBQ and outdoor dining, overlooking a peaceful dam and rolling pastures. An outdoor heated spa provides year round relaxation and fun for young and old. The house has ramp access for wheelchairs, plus handrails in the ensuite bathroom. Consisting of four bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this home will comfortably accommodate 10 people. The main bedroom features a king coil queen bed, with a sublime ensuite offering views of the native bushland behind the property, plus a walk in robe. Two bedrooms feature trilogy bunks (double bed with single up top), with the fourth bedroom offering a king coil king size bed or the option of two single beds. The kitchen is stocked to feel like a home away from home. Slow cook, blend, stir fry or sizzle your way to a fabulous meal with cooktop, oven and microwave. Plenty of plastic ware for the little people in your lives and dining outdoors, plus salt and pepper, cooking spray, foil, cling wrap are supplied for your convenience. If you’re not on duty keep the chef company in the open plan kitchen/dining area as you admire views of the country side from each window. Coffee pod machine and arrival tea/coffee amenities are also provided to get you off to a good start. In the cooler months enjoy a cosy log fire (with all wood provided), or just switch on the split system for instant warmth and comfort. Stretch out on the plush leather sofa for some screen time in front of the 55 inch HD TV, or plug your favourite tunes into the portable speaker and dance like no-one’s watching (did we mention the privacy and seclusion?). Traveling With Pets Pets that are clean and flea free are most welcome but must be past the chewing phase. Pets are permitted to enter the house and stay on non-carpeted areas. Pets are not permitted into the carpeted bedrooms for hygiene reasons. One large or two smaller dogs are permitted per stay. If your furry friend prefers the great outdoors there is an enclosed dog run adjacent to the homestead with kennel for your pet to call home. The house yard is also securely fenced for children and pets to roam freely and safely around the lawn area. Naturally, we expect you to pick up after your pet, and provide scooper and bags for this purpose. Please be aware that any additional cleaning required from pets or damage caused to furniture or fittings will incur additional charges on your credit card. If you are participating in the Snowy River Cycling Great East Rail Trail Ride between 1st to 7th October 2015 Tambo Trails is offering a $50 discount for any stay of 2 days or more. Locality 'Tambo Trails' is situated 20 km from Bairnsdale between the Twin Rivers, the Nicholson and Tambo, 306km from Melbourne. The East Gippsland Rail Trail runs along Kettles Lane (no though Road) only 100 metres from the property. The house is 13 km from Metung and 18 km from Lakes Entrance; with a 3 km drive to the local store at Johnsonville or 5km to Swan Reach on the Tambo where there are boating ramps and many spots to fish along the river bank. It is a wonderful haven from which to explore East Gippsland being convieniently located between the snow fields and the sea and an easy drive to the Buchan Caves Discover the Bruthen Walking Trails, the Twin Rivers Farm-Food & Wine Trail, the Colquhoun State Forest, Lake Tyers or go for a day trip to Dinner Plain or the Snowy River National Park. Property Tambo Trails by the Ringbark is situated on 2.4 hectares of park land overlooking its' own dam 100m away. Fruit trees have been planted. The Ringbark stands sentinel to the wonderful forests that once covered East Gippsland. The house looks north over rolling hills of timber and farmland.
