This adorable cabin has recent updates with new hardwood flooring, a stone gas fireplace, with a built-in flat screen TV, recessed lighting, and a Hot Springs Spa with lake views surrounded by the mountains, complete with a lounger seat with messaging jets from your back down to your toes. Excellent therapy post a day at the slopes! Near the cabin are wonderful cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking, and dog friendly trails along the rim, as well as a beautiful meadow in summer and winter (Paige Meadows). You can walk/hike, snowshoe, or drive to the trail head. Down the hill from the cabin is the Tahoe Park Beach Homeowner's Association with BBQ grills, picnic tables, volleyball nets, and access to launch canoes and kayaks. In the spring and summer, the area has a beautifully manicured lawn with brilliant flora. Approximately 25 yards south of the homeowner's beach is Sunnyside Lodge where you can walk, swim, or boat to have amazing lakefront dining and /or cocktails at the lakefront bar. Sunnyside is also a lively spot in the winter for après skiing, with a cozy winter lodge atmosphere. Approximately 2 miles from the cabin is the Fanny Bridge over the Truckee River, the only outlet from Lake Tahoe. This is also the entrance to Tahoe City, with quaint boutiques, homegrown coffee shops, historic landmarks, galleries, the Cobblestone Cinema, and the Commons Beach Amphitheater, which is just along Lake Tahoe's gorgeous shoreline. For the best cup of coffee and pastry Tahoe has to offer, stop by Tahoe House Bakery just before you get down to the Fanny Bridge. A modern grocery and supply store is also just beyond the Fanny Bridge. A bike trail, a bike rental shop, a raft launch, a river rafting company, a ski shop, and several riverfront restaurants are also available adjacent to the Fanny Bridge. Locals launch and jump on their own rafts and cruise down the river until floating (or surging depending on the annual snow melt) into the River Ranch, a historic lodge on the banks of the Truckee River with beautiful river and mountain views, and just at the entrance to Alpine Meadows Resort. Although there are many accessible ski areas, the closet ski areas to the cabin are Squaw Valley Resort (approximately 8 miles), Alpine Meadows and Homewood (approximately 5 miles in opposite directions), and Northstar (approximately 15 miles). The North Shore is a perfect Tahoe destination, with an abundance of summer and winter activities, and endless scenic treasures! Enjoy!

Three have great views of the lake, forest and trees, and in the kid's rooms there are plenty toys and games for the little ones. You will find a heated hot tub located in an indoor/outdoor solarium so you can either stay warm inside or open the giant sliding doors for lake views, cool air, and star gazing. The great room has a comfortable seating area with a new wood burning fireplace, a 50' flat screen TV with HD Cable, DVD, VCR and stereo. The floor to ceiling windows look out to the lake and National Forest. The large dining table seats up to 12 people with eat-up counter space in the kitchen as well. The loft, which overlooks the great room, is a perfect retreat to check email, enjoy the view, or send the kids for a movie. The home entrance has ski and coat racks to store your gear, and in the garage you will find plenty of snow sleds to keep the kids happy for hours. Our cabin is only 15-20 minutes from Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Homewood ski resorts, and 5 minutes to Tahoe City shopping and nightlife. Page Meadows is two blocks away for fantastic snow shoeing and cross-country skiing in winter and hiking and mountain biking the rest of the year. For summer fun, the closest beaches are only a 5 minute drive. There is a large deck looking out over Lake Tahoe to enjoy barbeques and relaxation. The SpaceThe cabin is located in the quiet neighborhood of Pineland, on a well-maintained road that is mostly traveled by residents only (no through traffic). You'll feel comfortable having the kids and dog playing in the yard area around the house, knowing the car traffic is at a minimum here. You'll enjoy a fully-equipped cabin with plenty of off- street parking, a large wrap-around deck with outdoor dining and BBQ area, and a 6 person hot tub. Inside, an alarm system, mud room with ski racks and boot & glove dryers, full size washer and dryer, mountain decor and architecture, 39' flat screen TV with High-Def cable, TiVo DVR, Blueray DVD player and Apple TV are all available to make your stay feel like home. There is a second TV+DVD player in the loft, making it the perfect spot for the kids to settle in and watch a movie before bed. Secure 50MB wireless internet access is available for all your electronic devices. Central heating will keep you warm and cozy, and a freestanding gas stove in the living room adds extra warmth and ambiance. A recliner sofa in living room is ideal for settling in and watch the game or a movie. A fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom, and all bedding is provided to make your stay simple and relaxing. The house is located directly across the street from Ward Creek, and the lake itself is located less than 1 mile away. Popular activities include fishing, boating, swimming, paddle boarding, kite boarding, kayaking, canoeing, sun bathing on the beach, etc. Take a leisurely stroll to three great restaurants: Sunnyside Resort, Firesign, and Spoon. A ski/snowboard rental shop (West Shore Sports), and a mini-mart/deli/liquor store (Sunnyside Market) are all less than 1 mile away from the cabin. A half-mile walk will take you to Kilner Park, where you can find beach volleyball, lighted tennis courts, swings, sandbox, jungle gym, and the biggest spiral slide in Tahoe! And just across Highway 89, you'll find the beach! In winter, a shuttle bus conveniently stops directly in front of the house every 30 minutes for pick-up and drop-off at Alpine Meadows' Sherwood lift, which is only 2 miles/5 minute drive up the road. Imagine the convenience of not having to get in the car to get to your ski lift! Cross country skiing, back country skiing, and snowmobiling is accessible right out of the back door. Family-friendly Homewood Ski Resort is only 3.5 miles away and world renowned Squaw Valley is just 20 minutes away. In summer, the Tahoe Rim Trailhead is conveniently located 1/2 mile away for your mountain biking and hiking enthusiasts. Less than 1 mile away, 15 miles of paved bike path makes for great family fun with commanding lake views. The bike path is also used for roller-blades, jogging, walking or access to the Truckee river for fishing and rafting. For those looking for more of a challenge, try biking up to either Alpine Meadows or Squaw Valley ski resorts from the bike path along Hwy 89. Tahoe City is a short 3 miles drive where you will find all the amenities expected in a small mountain town: lake-side fine dining, shopping, coffee shops, bars, grocery & drug stores, ethnic food restaurants, movie theater, yoga studios & day spas, fitness clubs, banks, golf courses, bike/ski/snowboard rentals, river rafting, fly fishing, boat rentals, etc. For additional nightlife options, gambling casinos and live concerts can be found in Crystal Bay, located at the California-Nevada boarder, 10 miles (20 minutes drive) north of Tahoe City. Sunnyside Resort offer high-end lakeside dining ((URL HIDDEN) Spoon offers family style dining ((URL HIDDEN) Firesign Cafe is a great breakfast and lunch spot ((URL HIDDEN) and Sunnyside Market and Deli where you can pick up deli-style sandwiches and basics (i.e. milk, eggs, bread, beer, soda, ice cream, etc.). There are other options about 3 miles to the south on Hwy 89 around Homewood many, many more about 3 miles to the north in and around Tahoe City. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds the third has two XL Twin beds and a tri-fold futon is available, linens and towels included. The living area has a stone, wood burning fireplace, 42" TV and WI FI. Downstairs bedroom has a TV. There is a large sunny deck at the living level. Guests have access to the entire living space with the exception of some closets and the fourth bedroom. We are available to meet our guests to answer any questions and make certain you’re comfortable but will not be on the property during your stay. Hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing in Paige Meadows is within walking distance. Tahoe Park Homeowners Beach, Firesign Cafe and Sunnyside Resort are one mile away. North Shore and West Shore ski areas are within a few miles as are many fine restaurants in Tahoe City. Our home has a fully equipped kitchen & a laundry room with washer & dryer. Firewood and kindling are provided as is private plowing for the driveway and neighborhood roads. Just bring your toys & food and you'll be ready to enjoy a relaxing vacation at Lake Tahoe. Having a car is a must, this is a rural area and transit is available around the lake but not into neighborhoods. Winter guests should have chains, just in case & 4WD is a plus.       The Banovich home is located in the Pineland area which is approximately 3 miles south of Tahoe City. The main part of the home has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, large living room, river rock fireplace; as you walk past the kitchen/dining room area, you walk up some stairs to the 5th bedroom, which is over the garage and is equipped with it's own bathroom, kitchenette, a television and games. The house is fully equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, flatscreen TV with satellite, DVD, VCR, wireless internet access, stereo with CD player, iPod docking station, dartboard, shuffle board table, air hockey table, ping pong table and gas BBQ. The back yard has been kept in a natural setting with a large sitting area next to the hot tub, which also backs to forest.
