    It is summer and it is all about fun in the sun in the mountains. Our cabin is five blocks from Lake Tahoe, where there is a public beach and more importantly the Tahoe Pine’s homeowner’s association private pier that we are a member of and have private key access to all year round. Big Water Pines is a charming 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with loft on a secluded street in Tahoe Pines. On the 1st floor there is a living room with dining area and wood stove, good sized bathroom, laundry facility and a bedroom with a queen size bed. There is a stereo in the living room with a CD/mp3 player and a sliding door to the deck, hot tub and landscaped back yard. The kitchen is fully equipped and a chef’s delight with all the necessities, including pots, pans, dishes, blender, dishwasher and gas stove. Upstairs there is a generous entertainment room with TV, VCR, DVD and lots of seating including a double sofa/sleeper. Upstairs there is also a large bedroom with a king size bed. The house is equipped with high speed wireless internet. The cabin is walking distance to the lake and the Tahoe Pine’s homeowner’s association private pier and beach as well as to the Blackwood Canyon trail head to the hiking/biking trails in summer and snowshoeing/cross country skiing in the winter. During the summer months, there's a hammock nestled in the trees, a landscaped yard, patio furniture, and a gas BBQ. In the winter, the cabin is close to several ski areas. Homewood Mountain Resort is 1 1/2 miles away and only a call away: Homewood Mountain Dial-A-Ride and they will pick you up from the cabin and deliver you back at the end of the day for free! Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley ski areas are less than 30 minutes away. There's parking for up to 2 cars maximum. This open-concept gem has plenty of space for a group of 8, nestled among tall pines just blocks from Lake Tahoe. We're 5 minutes from skiing and snowboarding, even closer to shopping and restaurants, and only a short walk to the private, uncrowded homeowner's lake and beach! INSIDE THE HOUSE The home's unique, reverse floor plan, gives the upper-level living area a lovely treehouse view of the pines. With wood floors, vaulted beamed ceilings and a stone, wood-burning fireplace, it all adds up to a cozy, rustic-chic cabin that’s perfect for your Tahoe getaway! This home has 3 bedrooms. The cabin-chic master has a queen bed, beamed ceilings, paneled walls, and sliding doors with a view of the pines. The two guest bedrooms sleep 6 people, all in twin beds. One bedroom has 2 twins; the other has 2 twin-over-twin bunk beds—a perfect cabin bedroom that's great for both kids AND adults. We have 2.5 baths, including one with a tub/shower combo, one with a shower, and one half-bath on the upstairs floor. In the upstairs living area, overstuffed couches and chairs surround the fireplace, and a 40” flat screen with cable creates cozy evenings by the fire with a good movie and good friends. Or have a feast at the modern dining space, adjacent to the living area. The spacious trestle dining table has benches and chair seating for 8 to 10. The kitchen is also open-concept and right next to the dining area for easy serving. It has all the appliances you need to craft meals and snacks, and lots of counter space, too, with bar seating so you can sit and chat with the cook. Getting AroundTart runs a bus service and the tahoe biking trails run from the home to tahoe City and all the way to Squaw Valley in the summer time.               It is summer and it is all about fun in the sun in the mountains. Our cabin is five blocks from Lake Tahoe, where there is a public beach and more importantly the Tahoe Pine’s homeowner’s association private pier that we are a member of and have private key access to all year round. Big Water Pines is a charming 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with loft on a secluded street in Tahoe Pines. On the 1st floor there is a living room with dining area and wood stove, good sized bathroom, laundry facility and a bedroom with a queen size bed. There is a stereo in the living room with a CD/mp3 player and a sliding door to the deck, hot tub and landscaped back yard. The kitchen is fully equipped and a chef’s delight with all the necessities, including pots, pans, dishes, blender, dishwasher and gas stove. Upstairs there is a generous entertainment room with TV, VCR, DVD and lots of seating including a double sofa/sleeper. Upstairs there is also a large bedroom with a king size bed. The house is equipped with high speed wireless internet. The cabin is walking distance to the lake and the Tahoe Pine’s homeowner’s association private pier and beach as well as to the Blackwood Canyon trail head to the hiking/biking trails in summer and snowshoeing/cross country skiing in the winter. During the summer months, there's a hammock nestled in the trees, a landscaped yard, patio furniture, and a gas BBQ. In the winter, the cabin is close to several ski areas. Homewood Mountain Resort is 1 1/2 miles away and only a call away: Homewood Mountain Dial-A-Ride and they will pick you up from the cabin and deliver you back at the end of the day for free!
