    The SpaceThis is a beautiful house with a host that has worked in Ghana for some years so has great inside knowledge of the environment. She is articulate and understands the challenges that strangers may face. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the kitchen, their rooms and the garden. Unfortunately I do not have wifi but this can be purchased very cheaply Interaction with GuestsMy interaction with the guests is minimal. I strive to provide a nice space where guests have their freedom to come and go. The NeighborhoodIt very much represents local Accra so there are a mixture of expats and local people living side by side. There are more local people overall. Good roads overall, markets, Atomic research centre, all with chickens and goats as a part of the landscape!!! Getting AroundAll public transportation is within 5 minutes walk from the house. Accra only has transportation by road. Other Things to NoteThe house has a back up power source and has security windows and fencing.

      This is our second Heart of The City (Downtown) 2-BRM Apartment. The apartment is located in the same building as the other 2-BRM and 1-BRM as listed. This 2-BRM is however on the ground floor of the this Holiday Apartment Building, very ideal for those who do not want to climb the staircase to the 1st Floor. . This Lodge is a Heart of The City (Downtown) Apartment closer to the important action spots in Accra and a walking distance from the popular street known as the "Oxford Street of Accra". This Building contain a 1-BRM Apartment and two (2) of 2-BRM Apartments, all these apartments suitable for either a single person, couple or family. In effect, whatever your situation, we have something that meet your requirement within the building. A family of four (4) or five (5) or Six (6) maximum, depending on the ages of the kids can conveniently fit into one of our 2-BRM Apartments namely the "Family 2-BRM Apartment". The emphasis here however is on our 2-BRM Apartment that takes a maximum number of four (4) adults. We have two (2) of these 2-BRM Apartments designed to meet different needs. Our 2-BRM in question here has Queen Sized Beds in each En-Suite Bedroom to conveniently take two (2) couples or four (4) adults. T.N. apartments are spacious comfortable as against most of the Traditional Hotel Rooms in this catchment area that are associated with offering rooms that are small with very little space for your comfort.. T.N. Apartments are all En-Suite with separate Living Rooms that comes with TV, DVD Players, DSTV Decorder and also featuring full kitchenette with fridge, oven, microwave, gas cooker and dinning area etc. Each apartment has two (2) air-conditioners in the hall & dinning area, there are also air-conditioners in all En-Suite Bedrooms providing guests with comfort and cool in this spacious and very convenient rooms. T.N. can always say it has a more spacious rooms in the Osu catchment area which is known for its economical room space. We however will not boast of the most modern exterior as this is an old building type which has plans of being modernized soon. Apartment location is central and therefore making it easy to catch a taxi in front of the apartment to wherever you want to go, be it very late in the night or during the day, we also provide an in-house Car Rental Service. Location is very safe with our staff around the premises during the day and a Night Security Guard at night. And for those who are familiar with Accra and Osu Oxford Street, the apartment is just a walking distance from Frankies Restaurant, Papaye Restaurant, Tigo Office and the new Shopping Mall currently under construction on the popular Oxford Street of Accra. The area has a number of restaurants at walking distances from the apartment. these restaurants provide all kinds of dishes, be it African, Chinese, Indian or European Cuisine. You can also call for delivery service to the apartment through Delivery Agents at a token fee. Apartment is a five (5) minute drive from the nearest beach to be specific, Accra's popular Labadi beach and 10 minutes drive from the Airport. Confirmed Reservation, thus paid up deposit with stay not less than two weeks comes with the following : FREE Airport Pick Up, FREE WiFi, FREE Cable TV and a Cell Phone that gives you cheaper call rates. BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY: Guests are to note that thorough cleaning to give our apartments a spotless clean touch is carried out before guest arrival, so it is very necessary to receive confirmed reservations and some level of commitment ( and when we say clean, we mean cleanliness that involves the participation of the owner of this apartment herself, so It is therefore important to receive this commitment). All confirmed reservations will be paid for in full upon guests arrival at the apartment before keys are handed over. Cancellation is allowed within a reasonable advance notice, preferably not less than two (2) weeks to enable us re-booked apartment to other users. TN reservations are carried out in advance so late cancellations are likely to affect our commitments to other clients. Please bear with us and thank you for also understanding our concern. Customers who are unable to confirm reservations can still call for rooms on arrival. This will however be subject to what is available and guests must be ready to give some time for thorough cleaning and changing of sheet. The location of the building has to its proximity, a number of Restaurants and the location is near (website: hidden) and Starbow (Ghana's Domestic Leading Airlines) Offices. Apt is between (website: hidden) Office and the new TRUST SPECIALIST HOSPITAL, these are on the street that serves as boundary between Ringway Estates and Osu Kuku Hill. The building has parking within and around the building. It is also very easy to catch a taxi in front of the apartment at any time, be it day time or at night. For those who enjoy Night Life need not worry about how to get home, as this vicinity is a walking distance from all the action spots, even if one has to catch a taxi, it is within a short distance fare. This property is directly opposite the new Chateau Towers, block of apartments owned by the Chinese and it is also a walking distance from Noble House, a popular Chinese Restaurant. Or take a 3-5 minutes’ walk to Pokuase 'train station', where you can take the local train into central Accra, or to Nsawam, twice daily, and back. We are lucky as there are possibly only two lines still operating in Ghana...The train will take you on a fascinating journey through the city, offering a privileged insight into the lives and struggles of ordinary people. Stand (sit if you are fast...) in 'coach class' or pay a little extra for a 'first class' seat! This train journey to central Accra - from where you can walk through Makola Market, Rawlings Park, the Ministries and even to he sea...- takes 40 minutes or so.

Also please note that The accommodation is a three bedroom place, but currently only two bedrooms would be made available to guests. One of the bedrooms is reserved for a lawyer friend who also manages the accommodation. I am currently in based in Boston, USA. And though he is usually out of the Country himself when he is in Ghana, he stays in that bedroom. Thus guests have guaranteed privacy and minimum or no interaction with the Host unless the Guest otherwise requests. During the times he is in Ghana, you are unlikely to meet him except on some weekends. He leaves for work very early and comes back late. There are also three things you would come to be very grateful for when in Accra. 1. That our address has a 24hr electricity back up system, The situation in Accra at the moment is terrible if you have been following the news. Because of erractic electricity supply, the electricity is rationed and a house could be without electricity for days. A few homes use a petrol fuelled hand operated generator to try to manage. Besides the health risks from the fumes, it is very noisy and expensive to maintain. Our address uses an inverter system with no noise or carbon footprint. This inverter setup ensures seamless change over from the main grid once the electricity is cut. 2. That our address has constant running water. We have a back up water system installed which pumps water to all parts of the house. That way our dependence on the erratic national water supply system is greatly reduced 3. That our address has an easy access to all modes of transportation available in Accra.

As one of the guest reviews describes it "The neighborhood is relatively new and typically Ghanaian in transition to urban." I advise you strongly to look through the reviews by other guests to give you a sense of the neighbourhood as well. Real feedback from real guests might be helpful to you in making your mind. ****Update**** I have just been informed that the neighbours are now keeping 4 goats as pets. Occasionally their bleats get loud enough that you can hear them from our listing. Please dont be spooked when you do. Haha. The listing is regularly fumigated does not have problems with mosquitoes as is the case of other places in Ghana. However If this is your first time in Ghana, we still keep a treated mosquito net on hand, in case you want to take extra precautions for yourself or your kids. 5. That the layout of the listing gives you added privacy and security. Further, also note that because of the general electricity challenges the country is facing; even though our listing has a back up system, vodafone which is the internet service provider may have challenges with providing power to its cell stations. As a result, the internet provision is likely to be intermittently disrupted. We have no control over that and Vodafone insists they are doing all they can but no service provider can maintain full service with a 24hr power outage; sometimes even longer. We currently have a portable internet modem (which comes with a complimentary 2Gig data) as a backup internet source for guests. Please note however that, this modem is only a back up and should not be relied upon for streaming videos etc. It is to help you check emails, do light browsing and make your life easier when the power challenges cause an interruption in your internet. I am going out of my way to help you enjoy your travel experience, so please be considerate.

Interaction with GuestsMy mum is always available by phone but by personality, my parents are homebodies and have sectioned off the main house for privacy. They are happy to check in on you and ensure your well-being but they wont be able to travel with you. The NeighborhoodWe are located in a well known estate called ACP Estates which is safe and green. Getting AroundWith the highway, we are just a 20 min drive to Tesano/Achimota which is a much easier and less stressful drive than most places in central Accra. Other Things to NoteOur house is on a hill in the estate. It is best to arrange a car or a regular taxi guy. We can give recommendations of the latter. You have a parking spot if you need it.

The apartments are regularly refurbished (usually after each long stay occupant), tiled throughout, and tastefully furnished, with basic kitchenette (with table top cooker, fridge, cooking utensils); sitting area with television and fans; shower room; private patio with seating and shoe rack; and own private front door for entrance. The price is always negotiable; and for long stay guests the rent is paid monthly. We are located on a hill just off the Achimota (N6) motorway in a residential area, accessible from either ACP or Pokuase Junction. There is a busy bus station at the junction, where you can get transport all over town, with rapid and frequent loading during the day. Pokuase Train Stop is also only 3 minutes walk away, and you can take a train (when in service) into central Accra, or to Nsawam, twice daily, and back. Our area is the traditional homeland of the Ga people, the historical custodians of the land of the capital city of Accra. If you come at festival times you can take part in exuberant dancing and celebrating with the local people, and enjoy the regalia of durbars honoring the local chiefs. The NeighborhoodThis is a very close community, with an active residents association, and neighbourhood watch system in place. I am the Treasurer of the Association, so I make sure that the work gets done! I am well known in the area, and people will always be ready to help you when they know you are staying here. Getting AroundWalk to the junction and jump on a trotro or shared taxi to virtually all sides of town. There are buses every minute going to some part of town.             This is our second Heart of The City (Downtown) 2-BRM Apartment. The apartment is located in the same building as the other 2-BRM and 1-BRM as listed. This 2-BRM is however on the ground floor of the this Holiday Apartment Building, very ideal for those who do not want to climb the staircase to the 1st Floor. . This Lodge is a Heart of The City (Downtown) Apartment closer to the important action spots in Accra and a walking distance from the popular street known as the "Oxford Street of Accra". This Building contain a 1-BRM Apartment and two (2) of 2-BRM Apartments, all these apartments suitable for either a single person, couple or family. In effect, whatever your situation, we have something that meet your requirement within the building. A family of four (4) or five (5) or Six (6) maximum, depending on the ages of the kids can conveniently fit into one of our 2-BRM Apartments namely the "Family 2-BRM Apartment". The emphasis here however is on our 2-BRM Apartment that takes a maximum number of four (4) adults. We have two (2) of these 2-BRM Apartments designed to meet different needs. Our 2-BRM in question here has Queen Sized Beds in each En-Suite Bedroom to conveniently take two (2) couples or four (4) adults. T.N. apartments are spacious comfortable as against most of the Traditional Hotel Rooms in this catchment area that are associated with offering rooms that are small with very little space for your comfort.. T.N. We however will not boast of the most modern exterior as this is an old building type which has plans of being modernized soon. Location is very safe with our staff around the premises during the day and a Night Security Guard at night.
