The SpaceThe outlook of this room is magical especially when the lake is full. Every morning I gaze out over the valley and think how lucky I am. The dogs and I walk the walking/bike track along the edge of the lake. Birds abound as well as fellow friendly walkers. Tallangatta is a friendly town with plenty of interesting day trips around North East Victoria. At the end of summer the water may have receded from here and the Mitta Mitta river emerges with a valley as it was 60 odd years ago minus the green trees. Many birds visit the gum tree in front of house or terrace for a bath and feed - Parrots, magpies, honey eaters, wattle birds and of course sparrows. Guest AccessYou may park in driveway or on front lawn. Access to room is across front of house to steps onto terrace . First door is the BnB. The terrace and tables are for your exclusive use. Interaction with GuestsAm willing to help with tourist information and if you want to cook outside on barbecue will supply barbecue utensils, plates etc. The NeighborhoodTallangatta is a small country town that is unique in that it was moved in the 1950's when the Hume Dam wall was raised flooding the now Old Tallangatta. It is a beautiful, quiet spot to live with great walks/bike rides along the edge of the lake/valley. Getting AroundYou need a car to get to Tallangatta or you can ride a bike along the High Country Rail Trail . Sydney and Melbourne trains stop at Albury / Wodonga or park your car in Wodonga and ride the trail. Other Things to NotePlease be aware that the water beside Tallangatta can disappear by the end of summer and Lake Hume will only back fill to us after autumn or winter rain. Lake Hume is an irrigation storage dam.

Our ethos is to share a little of this history with others. We provide firewood and you are welcome to use the apples and figs from the garden. Lettuces, parsley, etc. are all for your use too.
