The SpaceFully inclusive price! No added cleaning fees. We offer a non smoking, self contained, self catering apartment, ideal for 2 people, with provision for a third person if needed. Whilst we love children, we have reluctantly decided that with guest access to the pool, it is more suited to adults only, and currently we are not taking bookings for young families. The apartment is comprised of a roomy bedroom with queen sized bed and plenty of wardrobe space, large laundry with washer and dryer, (ideal for guests who have been travelling for a while) shower and a separate toilet. The combined living room with dining area, includes a large plasma tv and a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, hot plates, jug, toaster, electric fry pan, coffee plunger, all crockery, cutlery etc. Tea, coffee and milk, are provided. You have your own separate, keyed entrance with direct access to the indoor solar heated pool. An additional guest can be accommodated in the apartment, the bedding would be a mattress on the floor, provided with all linen at an additional cost of $40 per night Please note, we live in a split level house set on one acre of land, with the apartment being on the lower level. Part of one of our living areas is directly over the apartment so there may be some noise transference if we are home but we are very conscious of giving our guests privacy and quiet. We are away a lot so it is unlikely that we would be home for much, if any of your stay and we try to give our guests prior notice of this when they are booking. We have found this has been one of the attractions for our guests, looking for the freedom of a living space on a large area of land, in a quiet area, with minimum interaction with the hosts. The apartment has 3 exits and we have provided a fire blanket and contact details for medical and dental assistance if you should need them. Guest AccessLarge indoor pool room with day bed, loungers and seating area, ideal for relaxing or eating by the pool. The room has plenty of North facing doors and windows creating a cosy spot for a relaxing drink or meal. The pool has solar heating, some guests choose to swim in winter but we find it too chilly, preferring to swim between October and April. Plenty of outdoor space as the house and apartment are set on an acre of land. Feel free to relax in the grounds adjacent to the pool room. Please note the use of the apartment and pool are limited to the guests only. There is a jacuzzi in the pool room but it has not been listed for guest access and is currently unavailable. Interaction with GuestsWhilst we enjoy meeting new people and are happy to give you recommendations on places to visit, restaurants etc, we are often out enjoying outdoor activities or away for a couple of nights on weekends. We created this space to offer our guests a chance to take some time out and have some privacy. We have collated a myriad of maps and information on the things to do and places to see in the area and our personal recommendations for you. The apartment has been set up so you can gain access if we are not home on your arrival, however you will have our contact details and we are only to happy to answer your queries. The NeighborhoodThe mountain consists of 3 areas. Mount Tamborine, North Tamborine, handy for groceries, banking, chemist, wine bar, Irish pub, take away food and coffee shops/restaurants and Eagle Heights for more tourist attractions, art and retail stores, brewery and restaurants. National parks, and a plethora of coffee shops, galleries and wineries are scattered across the mountain between the 3 areas. Visit our award winning distillery, the additional wineries, sample our locally made cheeses at the brewery. We live at Mount Tamborine, on the southern end of the mountain, in a quiet residential neighbourhood of houses set on a minimum of an acre of land . After a busy day exploring the mountain or visiting the coast, retreat to the quietness of our neighbourhood. Stroll down to St Bernard Hotel, and have a drink whilst soaking up the fantastic view from the garden, there is even a waterfall in the grounds and a resident St Bernard dog. Our apartment is the perfect location for guests attending weddings at the hotel. There is a corner store (offering coffee and a take away menu until 6:30pm) and parks just 5 minutes walk away. It is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the golf course. For tasty, local coffee, a 20-25 minute walk will take you to The Coffee Plantation, open from 8:00-4:00 pm weekdays, offering morning and afternoon tea treats and lunch, including gluten free items. Almost next door is a local nursery, also offering coffee, teas and sweet treats. As you head into North Tamborine and Eagle Heights,(7-8 km) further north on the mountain, stop to watch the hang gliders soaring above the western escarpment, call into Heritage Winery for a tasting and magnificent view or enjoy a traditional polish meal at the The Polish Place and watch hundreds of rainbow lorikeets come to feed. Our locality gives easy access to all that the Gold Coast has to offer, without the noise and traffic! Pack your bike and golf clubs! Getting AroundFor easy access to the mountain it is best to have the use of a vehicle. There is a door to door bus service available to and from the Brisbane and Gold Coast airports. Helensvale and Nerang train stations , each 20 minutes drive away, offer regular services to Brisbane airports. Other Things to NoteBook now for Tour de Tamborine, in November, run, walk or cycle, Gasoline and Garterbelt festival, October Springtime on the Mountain, September Scarecrow Festival, October Tamborine Mt does not have a reticulated water service. Homes are reliant on their own rainwater storage system, so please be mindful of this. Tamborine has a higher annual rainfall than surrounding areas but in the drier months of June to November, we need to buy water deliveries to top up our tank! The temperature on the mountain is usually about 5 degrees cooler than the surrounding areas, so enjoy the cooler temperature, particularly in summer but remember to pack something warm. In winter, most restaurants will have a log burning fireplace or reverse cycle air conditioning.

The SpaceThe Log Cabin, set upon a 100 acre property is the epitome of comfort, isolation, getting away from it all. Spectacular views onto age old natural rainforest, ... read a book or write a book, surrounded by nature and its silence, sounds and sights. The natural features of the property include the Palm Tree Forest, and the cliff have been extensively used in Australian productions as well as in Hollywood productions. The property has, in the past many years, been used as location for Film Making. Many Hollywood celebrities have worked here. There is a full movie set with several buildings. The closest neighbouring house is about 500 Meters away, allowing complete privacy in this unique "get away". This Log Cabin is the ultimate luxury for those who seek tranquility, quiet, nature, greenery. A place to meditate, recharge your batteries. Perfectly suited for the Couple seeking a break from the "rat race", seeking a romantic break. The cabin has a warm feel to it, good vibes, named Tranquility for good reaons. Enjoy the morning mist rising from the rain forest. You are in the clouds, :-) PETS WELCOME. There are no other pets around except for the natural SE QLD wildlife. If you are a smoker, I would appreciate if smoking is enjoyed outside of cabin only, not inside, thanks. Following are some of the reviews I have the pleasure of having received. So far all my reviews are either positive or very positive. I hope to keep it that way. The Log Cabin has been on Airbnb since early May 2015, and June was 50 % Capacity. A great result considering that it still is probably a "best kept secret", :-) Review 1 Daniel was very accommodating, super helpful and explained the property and its features very well. This is an ideal location for a private getaway that feels very secluded while still being close to the sights and town of Mt Tamborine. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to get away for a while. Review 2 I had a Fantastic time at the house, the place is absolute Bliss and Rexlaxtion factor is off the scale. It would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle bustle of everyday life. Thank you Daniel for bottle of wine . .. I will be back . Review 3 Daniel was flexible about arrival time and met us when we arrived to show us the property. While it was a little more overgrown than the photos show and the views toward the coast are not as expansive as we expected, the property is still a unique experience for a few days of tranquillity. We stayed for 3 nights and surprisingly did not miss TV or dishwasher! The cabin has a wonderful wood burner fire with very comfortable bed and bedding that makes this a unique log cabin experience. The large outside decks with outlook into the trees are very relaxing. The cooking facilities are basic but adequate for 2 or 3 days. The bottled water and coffee machine were very welcome. Review 4 Daniel made us feel very welcome, the lodge is stunning, with everything you need to make a perfect stay. There is lots of walking around the 100 acres, it all went very well from start to finish, would love to go back again Only an hour and a half to Brisbane CBD, 45 Minutes to the Gold Coast. Tamborine Mt has numerous restaurants and café's, offering food from many parts of the world. You are alone on this property, just you, your loved one and nature. The Cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, Including a Nescafe Pods coffee machine, the local shops are very well stocked, as are the restaurants. Neighbours are far away enough to feel isolation, 500 Meters :-) From several spots on the property, there is uninterupted view onto the Gold Coast. The week rate represents 1 night at higher rate for free. The monthly rate represents about 4 nights at higher rate for free. No public transport available, Taxi at call 24/7. Parking your vehicle on site is available. From Airport, the best transport is by taxi. EXTRA COSTS : Security deposit is held by Airbnb, not me. Check out time is flexible if I do not have a booking for the next night. Diner can be organised. House keeping also can be organised. Local eateries that I can recommend are : Indian cuisine - Masala Shanti (URL HIDDEN) Thai and Mexican cuisine, Sam's Chilly Den Phone Nr (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). If you wish, you can place your order directly with them as "take away ", and we will pick the meals up, put them in the fridge in the Log Cabin, and then you serve yourself at will during your stay. No need to get in the car, giving you the opportunity to do ... absolutely nothing, :-) Small pets are welcome. Including horses, conditions apply. I have 4 mares placidly roaming the pasture in front of the Log Cabin. A gorgeous sight to look at with the rain forest as back drop. Guest AccessGuests are alone on this property. A dedicated space is available to park your car. Interaction with GuestsYou are alone on a 100 Acres property, nearest neighbour is over 500 meters away. The NeighborhoodNeighbours are far away enough to feel isolation, 500 Meters :-) From several spots on the property, there is uninterupted view onto the Gold Coast. The first one is principally catered for the couple, Tranquility lodge Log Cabin at Justin Avenue, also on Airbnb. Following are the review on that property. Mathew: What an incredible place! Awesome weekend to get away with my partner! We both loved it, from the bath tub - to the fire - to the no TV. Recommend for anyone who's wanting a romantic getaway or time away from work ;) just turn your phone off! We will defiantly be back! Miranda: The tranquility lodge was beautiful, photos do not do it justice! Such a serene place that once you step through the front gate you immediately feel relaxed. So much class and ultimate privacy! Will definitely be back! Skye: We loved our stay at Daniel's place. It was a perfect quiet getaway spot and the cabin was amazing. Especially loved the great bathtub! Andrea: we have been to many cabins in the mountains and this was by far the BEST one ever. so much privacy and class. so many little touches to make you feel special and a bath tub to die for. thankyou for sharing your piece of paradise with the world daniel. we will return. Tania: Just perfect. The only thing bad about this cabin is having to leave. I can't wait to come back. Johnson: Daniel was very accommodating, super helpful and explained the property and its features very well. This is an ideal location for a private getaway that feels very secluded while still being close to the sights and town of Mt Tamborine. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to get away for a while. Karon: I had a Fantastic time at the house, the place is absolute Bliss and Rexlaxtion factor is off the scale. It would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle bustle of everyday life. Thank you Daniel for bottle of wine . .. I will be back . I have achieved 5 star rating from guests at the Log Cabin which is catered for couples principally. Slingsby Road is catered to Families and / or groups, and I hope to receive the same reviews.

The SpaceInclusions; king bed small bar fridge kettle french coffee press complimentary starter pack of locally grown coffee, herbal tea, black tea, milk fresh baked biscuits Our rustic cottage sits nestled amongst the trees looking out across a verdant rainforest valley and towards the sea. It is about 20 metres from our main house so ensures privacy. It has a king bed (sleeps two), own ensuite but no kitchen. However, there is a small fridge, tea/coffee facilities, toaster, egg poacher, portable induction cooktop and fry pan and TV for DVD watching only (no TV reception or internet). Our property sits on an old avocado farm with our chickens called "the girls", Dan, the friendly farm dog , Gilly, the cat, Teddy, the overly pampered horse, vegetable gardens, orchards and manicured ornamental gardens. The cabin is small and cosy (approx 6 x 5 metres with a small 1 x 2.5-metre bathroom and 1 x 2-metre alcove with fridge and tea and coffee making facilities projecting off the main structure) There is a small verandah at the front. The cabin was originally a hardwood timber cow milking shed built in 1932 on the edge of our escarpment/cliff in our rainforest. We repurposed it using 80% of recycled, up-cycled, found or given materials. The ethos being not to buy anything new but for obvious reasons we had to buy things like a toilet, shower head and taps and of course, bedlinen. The bed base is made from leftover timber sandwiched together in the style of Piet Hein Eek. The styling is an homage to my husband's Fijian ancestry with tapa cloth over 100 years old hanging and used to cover retro lampstands. The shower/ensuite area can be intimidating for some as it is all glass exterior walls made from old sliding glass doors and you are exposed to the wildlife and trees. The only thing that could possibly see you are some bush turkeys and possums. If you like slick modern places then this is not for you. It is very clean but rustic. People rave about it and most say they have had the best sleep ever. There are no curtains so suits those who love natural light. It's a bit like glamping. As there is no kitchen, eating out for lunch and dinner is necessary. Tea, coffee (grown and handpicked across the road) and milk (from the dairy in our shire) are provided and some delicious homemade cookies from my mother's kitchen. The only warning I will give is that Australian birdlife is the noisiest I have ever encountered so for the overseas visitor to be woken early to the sounds of cockatoos and kookaburras can be quite alarming but for most, we have found they love the wake-up calls. Guest AccessCar parking is provided but it is not undercover and it is approximately a 20 metre walk across a lawn and then down some recycled timber stairs to the cabin. Upon arrival you will be given two torches for when coming home at night. We ask that you do not wander around the property for both privacy and safety reasons. Interaction with GuestsDue to our busy lives we are rarely here to greet you but there is always someone around the property. The directions provided allow you to come and go as you please. We just ask that if coming in late you are quiet as the carpark is close to my elderly parents bedroom. On weekends we might be around riding the horse or gardening. We can always be contacted by phone and my parents are usually always at home. We travel a lot and enjoy meeting new people but we also respect your privacy during your stay. The NeighborhoodDinner Leaf Japanese for homestyle Japanese. Bookings essential as it is very small. The Old Church - recently mentioned and commended in Gourmet Traveller. A special dining experience and our pick Songbirds is another expensive dining option Masala Shanti - excellent Indian from chef, Shiju who hails from Kerala in Southern India. His Dosas are my favourite Three Little Pigs for those who like big portion, old-fashioned favourites - well-know for the seafood chowder Georges Seafood - solid, fast seafood from the respected seafood family of restaurants located on the Gold Coast Things to do Beautiful rainforest walks - too many to mention here but we will have a list in your cabin along with a map of the area Wineries such as Witches Falls Cheese Factory and Brewery Thunderbird Park Skywalk Getting AroundThe mountain can only be accessed by private vehicle. From the property you can walk to the historic St Bernards Hotel which also serves basic pub food. There is a nursery/cafe across the road and from Monday-Friday Plantation Coffee is open where you can get the best caffeine hit - as good if not better than the best of Melbourne or Sydney and the beans a grown, picked and roasted on the property. There is a small convenience store walking distance but the village centre is 10 minute drive as are most of the rainforest walks. Other Things to NoteAs the cabin is nestled in the rainforest and about a 20 metre walk from where your car can be parked, you will be provided with torches to assist with navigating the recycled timber path and wooden stairs down to the cabin. We ask that you keep the door to the cabin closed at all times to avoid reptilian creatures joining you for your stay.
