    The SpaceWhite Lake is one of BC's premier trout fishing lakes and has beautifully clean water for swimming. The panoramic view of the lake and surrounding mountains is spectacular. The area is quiet and invigorating, a good mix. Guest AccessGuests have access to the canoe, kayak and life jackets. The firepit is available when conditions allow. Interaction with GuestsThis is entirely up to the guests. The NeighborhoodThe natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere make every day a gift. Getting AroundNo Other Things to NoteCheck out is at 11:00 am Check in is after 3:00 pm (unless other arrangements are made). Two night minimum in July/August.

    The SpaceThe peace and quiet of this lovely heated cottage will ensure that you have a very relaxing visit to the Shuswap region. There are several wonderful wineries in this area , The Recline Ridge winery is only 1 mile away. The Silver Star skiing area by Vernon is just 94 km from here and Sun Peaks, north of Kamloops is about 150 km away . Larch Hills is a famous and gorgeous area for cross country skiing, just outside Salmon Arm. All very doable for a fun day on the slopes. Because we are situated in a very rural area, there are no restaurants close by. So in the event that you arrive later in the day it may be advisable to eat before arriving here or to bring a "take-out" along. Our guests will have access to the internet, local maps, guidebooks for trails etc. and many books and games, no TV. We are certainly always here and available when needed but do not interact much with our guests in general , so that they may have a very restful , relaxing and private time in our cottage. The trees, the quietness and the views. Many lovely hikes in the area and then there is always the lake ! Salmon Arm is a charming rural town , where there are all the services you may need including a hospital, clinics, garages , movie theatres, waterslides, art gallery, quiltstore , theatre and many fine restaurants to choose from. There is no public transit available at our rural location . Dogs are welcome in our cottage, provided they do not sleep on or in the bed and the owners pick up after them when they let it out on the grounds. We have a cat who knows to stay out of the way. We are on a wellwater and septic tank system, so no flushing of feminine hygiene products etc. down the toilet please. The water is very safe to drink but there will also be a jug of RO water in the fridge. The NeighborhoodIt's a quiet rural setting; lots of wildlife to observe. There are nice places to walk either in the forest trails or on the road. The road ends in 5 kilometers so traffic has diminished from Blind Bay. Getting AroundThere is bus service on Thursdays to Salmon Arm which leaves from the church 5 km away. Bus service to other points leaves from Sorrento about 25 minutes away. Other Things to NoteThe price is based on 4 persons or family of 5; pre-arranged overnight guests an additional $20/per person/night. Rentals by the week during the peak season (14-June to 6-September) at $1,400 per week and pre/post season (15-March to 14-June and 6-September to 25-October) at $1,050 per week.

A car is needed to reach us and drive to Salmon Arm for shopping and or dining.

      The SpaceThis fully furnished and nicely decorated home was our parent's retirement home for 23 years, until 2014. Painted in 2015; all beds, linens and towels are new. The kitchen has everything you will need. There is a living room, rec room, breakfast room, dining room, large upstairs deck and lower patio, and a large grassy lawn. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is beautiful during any season, as a ski or Christmas getaway, Thanksgiving or Easter celebration, and of course during summer it is wonderful to enjoy being right on the lake with the sunny private beach and dock. There are many things to do, and places to visit and enjoy on the Shuswap. The home can accommodate one or two families comfortably to a maximum of 10 people. For non-summer or longer stay rentals, please contact us. Guest AccessThere is a firepit, flatstone beach, (old) canoe, new dock and picnic table and all outdoor furniture. The house is equipped with full kitchen amenities (dishes, appliances, etc.) and the dining table can fit 10. There is also a sunroom which has a table for four more. There are a washer and dryer available for use. The deck has two patio dining sets, and the walkout patio has a lovely antique wicker chair set. There are many chairs for the beach and front lawn. Interaction with GuestsWe will interact with the guests as much or as little as they like via email, text and phone; however, we are not on-site and have a representative nearby managing our property when we are not there. The NeighborhoodWe are on a point on a small bay (Hummingbird Bay), with little noise or boat traffic. Many residents live year round in their homes in this small neighborhood. This area does not get frequented by houseboats as it is quite a distance from Sicamous by boat. Cliffs for jumping are across the lake (use at your own risk) and there are many nearby attractions and dining opportunities by boat. Getting AroundNo public transit. Other Things to NoteThis home uses a septic system, so we limit the guests to 10 for this reason. We may allow a pet upon request; however, it is important that pets be extremely well behaved (e.g. not constantly barking, tearing up carpet, etc.) and all waste is removed from the property promptly. Pets must stay on our property.

My home is smoke free, rustic, comfortable and supports a lot of plants both inside and out. My vegetable garden and flower beds are a passion and I'm happy to share fruit when it's in season. The kitchen and BBQ are available for your use and there's a grocery store about 10 minutes down the road for your convenience. There are world renowned golf courses, the world famous Salmon Run, ski resorts, cross country skiing all within driving distance of the house. Each season has it's beauty here and when boating and swimming season ends, the next season awaits your enjoyment. Guest AccessThe common spaces in my home will be the living room, kitchen and outdoor areas including the beach and dock and yards. Guests will have their own bathroom , main floor bedroom and loft bedroom which is accessible via a built in ladder. There is a sliding glass door off the main floor bedroom to the front deck sitting area. Interaction with GuestsBecause I live at the home full time, I am readily available to answer any queries you may have about the house or the amenities nearby. I am looking forward to meeting all my guests and sharing my home. The NeighborhoodAlthough this is my year round home, most people who visit this area are here seasonally to enjoy the lake. There are many other interesting amenities to this area. There is a complex bike and hiking trail system, world class golf course, wonderful lakeside restaurants, a famous salmon run, many markets, music festivals, art shows, writer's festival and much more.         Complex has it's own beach, swim platform and fire pit. 2 minute walk from liquor/grocery store down the beach. Unit comes with buoy for boat moorage. One bedroom has a queen bed. The other bedroom has two twins. The couch in the living room has a pull out queen sized mattress. This second floor unit also comes with a barbeque and picnic table down on lawn by the lake. This unit has wifi and cable television. Sorry no pets.

Bathroom with standup shower. Newer dock and use of buoy for your boat. Marina minutes away for boat gas, groceries, pizza and a liquor store. 10 minute walk down the beach. Bring your paddle boards and spend the day on the water. Outdoor patio lights.         This 3-bedroom split-level house is on a well maintained 2.2 acre forested lot. Indoors, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, limited laundry facilities, sunroom, cedar lined sunken living and dining rooms and huge deck overlooking the Shuswap lake. Outdoors on the large deck also overlooking the lake is a BBQ, table and lounge chairs. Fire pits are provided, with wood available just meters from the house as well as at the beach. The beach is located just down the hill, it offers seclusion and privacy, shale beach, floating and boating docks and a moorage buoy. Lake water level changes throughout the summer. It may be high May through early July and low towards the end of summer. We cannot guarantee the amount of beach at any given time due to variable water levels. Property includes shared parking and beach with the owner’s cottage.

The paved driveway and adjoining ground space will accommodate one to three vehicles and a boat or seadoos. A flat grass area off the lower house level provides private outdoor living green space. Campfires await down a rock pathway and are a fun activity for the whole family. The Kitchen has all appliances including a dishwasher, fridge, stove, microwave, and coffee machine. The main floor washroom accommodates a washer & dryer. Full stocked kitchen and another bathroom. Lots of parking beautiful yard and private dock. There is own laundry facilities. There are two paddle boats and 2 kayaks that may be used. Golfing and hiking just above you and motor boat rentals just prior to you at Magna Bay.
