You can enjoy sitting out in the bbq area with seating up to 10, surrounded by a unique wall built of central otago rocks while cooking on the bbq and sipping some of Central Otago's amazing wines. The NeighborhoodExclusive Retreat with total privacy and wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Privately owned and managed by your host Judy. Getting AroundWe recommend a rental vehicle for your transportation to and from the Homestead B & B. Some 7 ks or 5 mins to the nearest garage, dairy and café. Numerous cafes in our area and lovely drives to some of the areas I have attached photos of eg Blue Lake at St Bathans, Ophir, and Poolburn Also just voted New Zealand's top track for cycling Otago Central Rail Trail just 5 mins away. Manuherikia river some 5 mins away for fishing and or swimming. We recommend Pitches Store Restaurant in Ophir with their award winning chef, for dinner and they provide a courtesy pickup and dropoff after dinner. Other Things to NoteContinuous gas hot water and underfloor heating in the lounge, dining, kitchen, main bathroom. Gas fire and log burner fire. Persian rugs in all bedrooms, hallway and dining and lounge areas. Electric blankets on all beds. Complimentary bottle of Central Otago wine on arrival.

The SpaceWarm and cozy, this self contained unit has all the amenities you need to enjoy the stay you want. Guest AccessGuests will have key access to the living area of this cottage. Contains a full kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Outside the main entrance is an outdoor entertaining area with access to a BBQ. WIFI is up and running in your space. For those who have read previous reviews, WIFI is fully functional as at late July 2016. Interaction with GuestsWe are a working couple who are generally home in the evenings. If you would like some help with local activities we would be happy to help where we can. Sometimes we need time to ourselves, please understand if we are not able to help out immediately. The NeighborhoodBreath in the fresh mountain air. Take in the tranquility that a rural setting has to offer. Did I mention the sunrises? Ok I did :-) Stars, not the Hollywood variety, but on a clear night you can marvel at the beauty above. Getting AroundYour own transport is essential. There are spaces for two vehicles immediately outside the cottage for parking. There is a gate at the front entrance to keep rabbits off the property as they are pests in this area. Other Things to NoteThere is no public transport in the area, your own transport is essential. The cottage is located near walking tracks, the ski fields and fishing spots. We love the glorious sunrises and sunny outlook the cottage provides. A great place to relax and reflect. The cottage is located on a lifestyle block. It is situated 40 meters from the house we live in. There are chickens, and cattle on the property. The farm fences are electrified to keep the cattle from straying, please take care when moving outside the cottage area. The property is only been built in the last couple of years, we are trying to improve some of natural features, there may be some ongoing landscaping around the cottage and house.

This cosy cottage is located on a lifestyle block only 30 minutes drive from Wanaka. Enjoy the stunning mountain views, and relax in this peaceful setting. There are walking tracks nearby and there is easy access to the Lindis River and Lake Dunstan nearby for fishing. The property has only been built in the last couple of years so there may be landscaping around the house and cottage. There are chickens, cattle and other livestock on the property. Special conditions: We expect guests to respect the space we provide for them. Smoking allowed outside only. We expect the guests to be quiet between 10:30pm and 8am as we work during the day. We work hard to keep the cottage and surrounds neat and tidy, we would appreciate the guests do the same.
