This means you will often be sharing facilities with other guests. During the busy season we often have wwoofing helpers who will greet you instead of John when he is busy with his local tour business.       The SpaceRevisit the bygone days in this comfortable, historic 3 bedroom home. Relax by the open fire looking out over the native bushclad hills of the Paparoa Range. Have friends and family around the kitchen table listening to the crackling of the fire in the coalrange with some of the comforts of modern living. Positioned at the inland access to the Croesus Track, it is in the heart of gold prospecting, hunting and fishing country. The historic and quirky township of Blackball only 2 km away with it's popular Salami Shop and world famous Hotel. Come and relax listening to the creeks and the birdsong. If you are lucky, you may even hear the Kiwi sing at night, in this unique location. Guest Access- The cottage is self catered and private. - The only request we have is that the guests leave the cottage as they have found it. Interaction with GuestsI am available for information and help. I am only a phone call or a text message away. Transport to and from locations can be arranged at a minimal cost to help you enjoy the surroundings. The NeighborhoodMy "neighbourhood" is the Paparoa National Park and it's surroundings! Home to the Great Spotted Kiwi . Please check out the website for the Paparoa Wildlife Trust and watch the video explaining a bit about the work they do and also showing the birds that you may be able to hear call at night! Other Things to NoteThis is an original miners home in which 7 children were raised at one time and things are left original as much as possible. There is a: - Shower over the bath and electric hot water - 2 hotplates - Microwave - Fridge freezer - DVD television only - Linen provided (beds are made) - Electric heaters for extra comfort - Fire wood in the shed

Other Things to NoteWe are a 50 km drive to the closest Supermarkets or Restaurants. For an extra charge per person we can supply and evening meal and or breakfast and or Lunch.
