The SpaceLarge bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and large outdoor entertaining area with BBQ. There are also two lounges each with its own large TV and separate sky box with satellite TV. There is ample decking for everyone to enjoy the views. Guest AccessGuests have access to all of the house except one lock up cupboard. Interaction with GuestsMy wife and I try to meet the quests when they arrive , then we leave them to it but are contactable if there are any questions to be asked. The NeighborhoodThe house is situated in the middle of a large Dairy farm so its very peaceful and tranquil. It is a short drive to the beautiful spa town of Te Aroha and Hobbiton is only about a 30 minute drive away. Waihi beach can be reached within an hour and Rotorua just over an hour. Getting AroundNo you will need your own car. Other Things to NoteThere is ample parking.

The SpaceThe perfect place to discover all there is to see and do around the gateway to the Coromandel! 1 hour 20 minutes south of Auckland international airport. Take a Lord of the Rings tour through Hobbiton, Matamata, an easy 20 minute drive. Or just relax with a good book, enjoy dinner in one of the local restaurants then indulge in a mineral spa both an easy 5 minute walk from the cottage, spa towels supplied.       The SpaceTWO BEDROOMS - one with queen and other with two singles. Feel free to inquire. We live on a small acreage with rural views, although we are a short scenic walk away from the centre of Te Aroha. You will need your own transport to get to/from Te Aroha, however we are on a main route through to Tauranga, the Coromandel Peninsular and Rotorua/Hamilton/Auckland. We have a long history with the Coromandel Peninsular in particular and can advise re sights and tourist spots, along with some very experienced fishing and boating experience in the Bay of Plenty and the Coromandel. Te Aroha is a small, historic and scenic town and is at the foot of Mt Te Aroha, which has many mountain biking and walking tracks. After a day of walking or biking the hills you can even relax in the heated thermal pools! In our home we have a very comfortable queen bed available with own bathroom. Wifi and mysky and if you are so inclined and can play - there is also a grand piano to tinkle out a few tunes! Guest AccessKitchen/bathroom/laundry. The NeighborhoodWe live in a quiet rural area with public buses available in adjoining towns eg, Morrinsville, Matamata, Hamilton. Guests would ideally need their own transport. Getting AroundThere are bus options to Morrinsville but guests ideally would need their own transport. Plenty of parking available - cars, vans, campers.           The SpaceTwo boutique cottages specially designed for couples. Surrounded by mainly deciduous trees and evergreen hedges making it a woodland oasis in a rural dairy farming area. Guests are free to wander the area of approximately one acre of trees. Guest AccessApproximately one acre of trees and lawn with each cottage in it's own private area. Interaction with GuestsIf guests require assistance, we are only too happy to help where possible. Getting AroundThere is no public transport so this accommodation suits only people who have their own transport. At the end of 2016, work is going to start on extending the Hauraki Cycleway from Te Aroha to Matamata which will be going through Manawaru, a mere 150m from Shaftesbury Glade Cottages. Other Things to NoteCity people certainly remark that it is so quiet compared to the urban environment. There are of course the sounds associated with the rural area that people will occasionally hear, eg. cows mooing, the odd barking dog, and agricultural machinery. Quality bed linen and bath towels are provided. There is a Swedish/ Danish styled steam sauna that guests are welcome to use. Instructions on how to operate are found in detached sauna building. Also very popular is an outside bath located in amongst the Red Wood Trees (nick named the Enchanted Forest) which has a wood fired water heater to provide the hot water. This needs to be fired up at least an hour before going for a bath.

Aroha Homestead is a large two-storey house with beautiful views of the magnificent Mount Te Aroha and is set on a large property with lovely, picturesque landscaped gardens and flat grass areas with a beautiful maple tree for shade and fruit trees. There is a swimming pool area for guests use, which is a salt pool. the surrounding gardens offer privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. Guests have their own bathroom, lounge room, with tea & coffee making facilities, fridge, CD Player, large flat screen TV, DVD and Sky. Laundry and kitchen are also available. There are great cafes, organic food store, and plenty of places to eat. Historic Creations gallery is a must to see & experience. Te Aroha is in the centre and close to many other rural towns in NZ worth visiting. Other Things to NoteThe garden and swimming pool area is a lovely feature of this property to relax in.
