We are located in a Garifuna village - native Hondurans, from African descent - arrived to this land 200 years ago from Caribbean islands. To this day, Garifuna preserves their language, food and religion. Are very friendly and always delighted to have tourist visiting the village. You will see them in their daily activities - fishing form paddle and motor boats, baking coconut bread, enjoying at the beach, drum playing and dancing, making Casaba bread. Many of the locals speak English and will engage in conversation and tale telling of their native traditions. The village is easy accesible by car, on paved road from Tela downtown area. The ride takes no more that 13 minutes; taxis run from early morning until late afternoon. After hours you can always get a taxi, 24 hours.
