The SpaceTop-floor, TWO-BEDROOM apartment in an Edwardian building right in the heart of Dublin city's old historic centre. It has unique won't-find-anywhere-else views of Dublin Castle and City Hall, two of Dublin's most iconic historic landmarks. The building is on Dame Street in Dublin 2, and is just a couple of minutes (or less) walk from all of Dublin's historic, cultural, social and tourist attractions. The apartment is full of history, tradition and character. It occupies the top floor of an old Edwardian building, located midway along Dame Street, which links Trinity College to Christ Church Cathedral. As well as views over Dublin Castle and Dublin City Hall from the living room and one bedroom, the other bedroom looks west towards Christ Church Cathedral. Where else would you get it? The apartment has been completely renovated in recent years (so has all the modern conveniences you could want, including fast WiFi internet connection, central heating, an electric shower and a fully-fitted kitchen), its original period features have been preserved (including solid oak wood flooring in the living room and bedrooms, granite stone flooring and a wonderful Belfast sink in the kitchen, and large sash windows in every room). It has two bedrooms (one with a double bed, the other with two single beds), a decent-sized living room with a kitchen off and a bathroom. Every room has large sash windows characteristic of the Edwardian era (early 1900s), so the apartment is full of natural light (if you're lucky, sunshine too!) from early in the morning until late in the evening. Everything you might need (bed linen, towels and kitchen items) is provided, as well as a small library of books on Dublin. Free 30Mb Wifi. Guest AccessYou have access to everything and everywhere - it's all yours. Interaction with GuestsI'll meet you when you arrive to say hello, give you keys, show you around the apartment, tell you what's what in the area and answer any questions. After that, if you need anything or have any questions, you can phone or email me. Always available and happy to help! The NeighborhoodHave a glance at a map of Dublin and you'll see that Dame Street is right in the centre of everything that Dublin has to offer. Trinity College is at one end of Dame Street (3 minute walk from the apartment) and Christ Church Cathedral is at the other (2 minute walk in the other direction). On one side is Dublin Castle and City Hall, and on the other is Temple Bar. All other notable parts of the city – such as Grafton Street area, St Stephens Green, Merrion Square, O'Connell Street – are within a 10-15 minute walk. As well as being immersed in Dublin's history and culture, you're surrounded by the best cafes, restaurants, pubs and shopping in Dublin. Getting AroundOne of the things that previous guests have all remarked on is that they didn't need to use public transport at all - no buses, no trains, no taxis. Very genuinely, you can walk anywhere in the city centre within a matter of minutes. Dublin City is quite literally on your doorstep! However, if you want to travel further afield, there are 3 taxi ranks on Dame Street itself (mere seconds away); there's a Dublin Bikes station across the street; dozens of bus routes within 50 metres; Jervis LUAS (tram) station is 5 minutes walk, and Stephen's Green LUAS (tram) station is 8 minutes walk; and Tara Street and Pearse Street DART (train) stations are both less than 10 minutes walk. If you're looking to travel out of Dublin, you can be in Connolly Station, Heuston Station or Busaras within 10-15 minutes. It's also a 2 minute walk from the Aircoach's Trinity College/College Green stop (Aircoach is an express airport-to-city bus service, which runs every 10 minutes and will get you to or from the airport in just 20 minutes). Other Things to NoteStandard check-in is at any arranged time between 3pm and 9pm. Because I can't personally do a check-in after 9pm, check-ins after 9pm are subject to a €50 fee to cover the cost of paying someone to meet you. Standard check-out is before 10am on the day of departure. If you're arriving into Dublin very early in the morning or departing late in the day, please consider the 3pm check-in time/10am check-out time before booking. Unfortunately, there is no luggage storage facility in the building. For those who need to store luggage before check-in or after check-out, I recommend Tourist Office Dublin (almost directly opp. the Front Gate of Trinity College Dublin at 37 College Green, Dublin 2, which is a 2 minute walk from the apartment). They'll store luggage here in a secure lock-up for a small fee. Please also consider that this apartment is in the very heart of Dublin City. Genuinely, its location can't be exaggerated - you won't find a better located listing on Airbnb. There are hundreds of positives to this, but there a couple of negatives too: for one, there is no parking in the building (but if you're likely to need parking, let me know and I'll tell you the various options). Also, you have to expect that such a central location won't be exactly tranquil - there'll be the usual 'sounds of the city' and there's nothing anyone can do about it, I'm afraid! If this is likely to be an issue for you, let's talk about it before you book.

The SpaceThis listing is for a redbrick terraced city centre house. This is the same location as our other listing - Perfect Location in Dublin City Centre - but is for the whole house. There are more photographs on that listing. Charming little house in Dublin City Centre. This is my main home, renovated in 2011. It is a redbrick terraced house in the Christchurch area with every convenience in the locality. The house was built by The Dublin Artisan Trading Company in the early 1900's. One of my other listings - Best location in Dublin City Centre - has photographs of the house. There are two double bedrooms, a separate kitchen, shower room and large living/dining area. There is also a decked roof terrace on the first floor. The house is fully insulated, there is underfloor heating downstairs. There is a large working cast iron fireplace in the living room. The decor is contemporary and bright, with some period touches. All of Dublin is at your feet when staying here. The street is really quiet, yet you are minutes from Dame Street. There are numerous lovely cafes (including Cafe Noto, The Fumbally and Queen of Tarts) nearby, as well as pubs (Porterhouse Parliament Street, Fallons, The Bull and Castle) and restaurants, theatres and cultural attractions. You are welcome to help yourself to books, magazines, and of course our well-stocked bar! The kitchen has oven, grill/microwave, hob, dishwasher, washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, Gaggia coffee machine etc. There are numerous buses that pass nearby. Heuston Station is 10/15 minutes walk away (services Galway, Cork etc.) Kitchen: granite countertop. Gaggia Baby coffee machine with froth function. Dishwasher. Washer/Dryer. Neff oven 1. Neff oven 2, with microwave and grill function. Glass induction hob. Neff fridge-freezer. Full stock of utensils and cooking equipment. As this is my home, there are personal items such as clothing in the wardrobe. Plenty of storage is clear for guests to use. Unlike my other listing, this listing is also fully stocked with spices, oils, condiments etc. Living/Diningroom: Round table extends to seat 6/8. Real fireplace, logs and briquettes provided. Large couch. SMART Television with built in wifi, browser and Netflix. Livingroom storage holds glassware and alcohol! Books and travel/interior magazines above. Showerroom: Small but perfectly formed! Help yourself to toiletries. Hairdryer in guest bedroom. Master bedroom: Original fireplace (not in use for safety reasons!) Lots of storage in sliding wardrobes. Guest bedroom: Access to roof terrace/deck. NB PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE BOOKING IF YOU ARE BOOKING MORE THAN 12 WEEKS IN ADVANCE. Guest AccessThe house! Two double bedrooms One shower room Living/dining room Kitchen Roof terrace This is my home that I rent periodically. It is thus fully stocked with herbs, condiments, liquor etc (help yourself within reason!) but has a different feel to my other listing which is permanently rented. There are clothes and linens in the wardrobes, half the bathroom cupboard has toiletries, and there are lots of books and magazines. Interaction with GuestsInteraction varies - I try to be available to guests in person where possible, and certainly am available to contact through phone or online where necessary. I am a great believer that if there is something amiss it can usually be swiftly dealt with if the guest contacts. I am also available to provide any local information - if I receive a text or message about an event, sport, restaurant, pub etc I will either know or generally be able to find out .. The NeighborhoodIt is right in the heart of the city centre and yet on a very quiet tree lined street. I like the traditional redbrick fronts of the houses and the fact that you can be in Temple Bar, Grafton Street or St Stephens Green in less than ten minutes. St Patrick's Cathedral and Christchurch and Christchurch Cathedral are minutes away. There is a great selection of traditional pubs and fashionable cafes. Everything Dublin city centre has to offer is within walking distance. Getting AroundDublin City Centre is eminently walkable. There are cross city buses nearby, the Luas (tram) stops just over the river and Heuston Station (trains to the West and South of Ireland) is 15 minutes on foot. Other Things to NoteThe house is very cosy and warm in winter. Towels and sheets are 100% cotton and excellent quality. The kitchen is fully stocked with equipment and appliances. There is a house manual provided with keys on check in. The television is SMART.

The SpaceThe area is steeped in History, the location is simply impossible to beat and it will save you a fortune on taxi's as you cannot get more central. Its also a quite side of Temple Bar, so you get close to the action but also a good night sleep. The apartment is on the 3rd floor and has a lovely balcony over looking the streets of Dublin below. (Please note that there is no lift in the building, this may be something to consider if there is an elderly person in your group) Guest AccessEverything, the whole apartment is yours! If you want to access information then try me, i know the city inside out so tell me what your into and I'll make it happen, being in Temple Bar makes life easier :) Interaction with GuestsI usually have to leave town when guests arrive so Pablo will be showing you your new home, giving you a key and wishing you a pleasant stay! The NeighborhoodI love that everything is a walk away, I love that its a place which is always busy, full of life, energy, excitement, with never a dull moment, from the gallery's to the museums, to the castles, the bars, the cafes, the people, the craic. If you get a chance let me know what kind of food you like and what other things your into, if you would like me to make some recommendations it would be a pleasure. Temple Bar is full of restaurants and some offer great value for money, stroll around and check out some of the early bird offers, take a walk up through temple bar main strip (fleet street) towards parliament street and you'll pass lots of options, turn right and walk across the millennium bridge and the river liffey to the Italian Quarter for more restaurants, check out the interesting painting of the last supper, keep walking and turn right on Strand Street to see a little hidden Asian supermarket, go in and right down the back, now your in a place only locals go, check out the prices, 6-7 euro for a huge main dish! Boom! Haha, thats just one of many examples ;) Getting AroundIt doesn't get any easier to get around from here as its a place surrounded by trams, buses, trains and taxi's. Let me know if there's a place you would like to visit and I'll tell you the easiest way to get there! Other Things to NoteIf you arrive before you can check in and would like to explore Temple Bar and Dublin, you can put your luggage into storage in the following locations, both are a short distance from the apartment: COLLEGE GREEN TOURISM OFFICE 37 COLLEGE GREEN DUBLIN (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) ABBEY COURT HOSTEL 29 BACHELORS WALK (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) They are open 24 hours a day and charge 5 euro per suit case per day or GLOBAL INTERNET CAFÉ 8 O’CONNELL STREET LOW(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) They are open from 10-8am and charge 4.75 per suit case per day If you would like a later check in/out time send me an email and I'll see what I can do, it all depends on the other guests and ensuring the cleaner has enough time to get the place ready to the high standard you deserve. And lastly if your not staying here I would say be careful wherever you choose to stay as some places claim to be in Temple Bar or in the 'City Center' when there not. The city center is really Temple Bar and its surrounding area so check the map for distances etc
